It’s really depressing that Call of Duty 4 and 5 are hacked and ruined on console, as they are the only two I ever enjoyed playing. Does anybody know if anyone still plays those two games on Steam? Just play the games, no hacks, no mods, just the pure unadulterated games?
If console versions are nothing but hackers, then don’t expect to find anything worth while on PC
I smell a console peasant. 😉
^No, it’s totally understandable… what has been seen cannot be unseen…
I’d rather watch The Phantom Menace than Xena.
But like I said, the nostalgia is for the theatrical version alone, so what purpose would there be in watching something that I will ultimately regret watching because I got so little of the nostalgia I watched it for? If not for nostalgic reasons, I wouldn’t consider watching those films again for the rest of my life. Ever.
The entire TPM DVD has a slight pink cast on the color. No clue on the HDTV, though.
EDIT: And I’d want a 35mm TPM because it’s the only PT film I’ll probably ever watch again due nostalgia, and that needs to be the theatrical version, which I would want to look it’s best (i.e. it’s best to have print grain IMO).
I guess I should clarify - release print grain is different from negative grain. When they shoot the original negative, the film stock they use has a certain grain pattern to it. In 2001s case, they shot on 65mm film stock. Working with 65mm film is incredibly different from working with 35mm, in that the actual size of the frame is so large that the grain seems smaller. On each of these prints (the 35mm I am having scanned) there is generational grain between the original negative and the much smaller release prints. That is just extra grain on the image - it’s not part of the original camera work at all. It occurred to me that I probably won’t want to watch it without 35mm grain either 😃 , so I’m amending my original release to have a 1080p version which keeps the original 35mm grain.
I know how print grain works, and what the difference is with negative grain. I love 35mm prints because of the color, grain and contrast. I love 35mm print grain. And it’s good to hear you’ve reconsidered 😛.
EDIT: I’d also like to mention, that this is one of the few things I wasn’t too happy to see about SW Legacy, seeing as you compared it to that in the first post.
The Phantom Menace will forever be the least crappy of the prequels.
Something that somebody posted on one of my older forums.I don’t see the connection.
The link is to a thread from the past, where someone posted that pic, and he decided to add it to this thread.
…some of the release print grain […] can be removed…
I wouldn’t like that to happen. Anyway, this looks awesome!
^Most of my favorite films came out before I was born. Is that relevant?
^No love for Wayne’s World?
Oh, my good you really are retarded aren’t you?
Also can anybody tell me who FlukeSkywalzter is/was?
Oh, my good will this guy get banned already.
youre just a troublemaker and a bandwagoner.you just started crap with me.it not liek i did anything to you.you just a troublemaker.it
Were did you learn those insults kindergarden?
No. I learned them from a description yourself.
You leave us alone, you piece of worthless crap.
Just as the first two sequels to JP, it was a cash in, only this is one of those several years later sequels that’s designed to cash in mainly on nostalgia for the previous film(s). I wasn’t given any chance to get beyond hating every character that came on screen (exceptions being the guy in charge who flew the helicopter and the JP T-Shirt dude). All of the characters were just annoying the whole time. Adding to that, the plot is totally nonsensical. What I picked up from the dialogue, the guy was fulfilling Hammond’s wish, to have a dino park for the masses, that wasn’t based on cheap profit, but on the customers enjoyment of the attractions. Now, the first problem with this, is that in no way would Hammond still want this park to become reality. His line: “So have I.” states very clearly that he has realized the wrong in creating that park. Then there’s the strange technological advancements that seemed to have happened, and really made no sense. And the line about kids not being excited about dinosaurs anymore. What?! How long has this park been running, that people all over the country/world are just completely used the sight of real living dinosaurs. All in all, it’s a rehash/cash grab that is successful because of the popularity of the first film.
…it has been forgotten by almost everyone.
It’s so sad…
I said such poor reception, as in, compared to having better reception. And yeah, I thought that Roger Ebert’s score for it was good to see.
Wow, I didn’t even know Osmosis Jones had such poor reception (55% RT; 6.2/10; 3/4 Roger Ebert). I love that film.
Jurassic World… ugh… this movie is just bad. I’m not even going to take the effort to explain any further.
My JP series rankings:
Jurassic Park – A
The Lost World: Jurassic Park – C-
Jurassic Park III – C-
Jurassic World – D
You could wait until you’ve seen the film to start calling a character you know nothing about a Mary Sue. I mean, she could very well be, but it’s pretty hard to tell from that trailer.
^I’ve already read that post of his, and that’s the main piece of crap I was referring to, among everything preceding it.
People with down syndrome have thicker necks then normal people(unless those normal people are really fat which this figure is not).
That’s not entirely true, and like I said, we should just forget about it. And you better get banned for all that crap, too.
Well thanks for encouraging the idiot in the thread to post more about it.
Sorry.
