//RETURNING TO JEDI\\: NTSC & PAL DVD
Time
ANH doc was part of my wish list when i started making my cover set (I was very apprehensive about using Deleted Magic as part of the set because its not totally fitting with the style of Building Empire-making a ramalamadingdong of a set-as garrett says). I just didn't want to push for the next project before Returning to Jedi is complete.

Dave Dorman is a fantastic artist who produces stunning images for the (what i consider to be the) 'unfavourable' expanded universe. I have seen some really great McQuarrie covers both here by Coov, and elsewhere by Corme. So i wanted to use something unique with this set that has never been done before and makes it different-.....yet the same (like that word-ramalamadingdong).

Thats great to hear your happy with how its shaping up Jambe.

Ive been doing a bit of work for this and although its still in the W.I.P. stage (i need to do complete the back covers), here is my progress thus far:

http://img243.imageshack.us/img243/6987/1rr3.jpg

They are a hi-rez spanning spine set featuring Deleted Magic, Building Empire and(when the circle is complete)Returning to Jedi as a set. The fronts and spine features Dave Dorman art and the back will have some McQuarrie art.

Ok. The OUT Covers for the UK- WHY!?

That reminds me. How did the original star wars (or ANH) get a U certificate cuz the chared bodys of Owen Larrs and aunt Berue and the severed arm from the cantina should have made this a Perental Guidence shurely. Well, it scared me as a child!

Yeah Ell, it pees me about the spines not matching on not only this but most other sequels as well. Maybe a marketing thing for a complete set that may or may not get released in the future. I mainly use custom covers for this reason.

I didn't want to get drawn into this but yeah, i do agree we shouldn't have to pay to download these covers, but firstly i respect the original artists wishes --not that they want you to pay for them-just get from a site that requires a donation for the running of a site that offers a very large number of great customs for 1000's of films (man i feel like a corney advert sometimes)as casualimp could vouch for - as i've seen his contribution there.

Sith Angel is okay with the disribution of his work- he requires that you credit himself with the author of his work, yet although i'd originaly planned to upload his complete set, i got the feeling he didn't wish me to do that.

I then stopped before i PM Cormme (who has the most large and fantastic set of them all - and i'd really love to up the the set of McQuarrie art set because i know you'd guys would love it and give it the respect it deserves)

Jupiter Prime is however someone I am aprehensive about contacting altogether based on how he treats his privacy. Still, i just loved his spanning sets and i'm glad Rikter upload them to share here. If anyone cares to finnish the episode 3 covers propery then well, fantastic!

***//BUILDING EMPIRE\\: PAL & NTSC DVD - NEW EDITION NOW ONLINE! ***
Time
Regarding the E-Bay thing: This sort of thing is starting to becoming all to common now. E-bay take them down, then another 2 go up in its place!

Do people not realise (or simply not care) that selling this stuff is very damaging to future preservations here at the OT forums?
I'd think twice about undertaking a project over the space of weeks/months or even a year, because it would always niggle away at the back of my mind that i may help to line the pockets of unscroupulous traders that burn some DVDs, print some covers, and actually think/convince themselves that they are actually helping spread the great work most people do here.
They are simply HELPING THEMSELVES by RAPEING these projects!
Also this causes unnecessary mistrust in our community with the people who we deal with here. I can assure you Jambe that the majority of members here genuine good people that respect the works of all its contributers - at least from my personal point of view.

OCP had an on going battle with this with Deleted Magic so perhaps he's a good person to ask for advice with this perhaps?
Also ask OCP what his thoughts on you making ANH are - maybe?
I for one would make a donation to buy Jambe a new HD (with them being so cheap aswell) if this could happen.
