I have some model shots (and the Kenner, herm, one), but just flicking through my pics, it seems the wings are all in the landed position (i think). Look proper 2 morrow after work to see if my archives hold any strength around here to contwibute sumfin.

Those German fellas had some excellent work already done on their, dare i mention "TYDERIUM" project. From a wide out shot of the shuttle, zooming into the cockpit shot. It was stunning. And they did X-wings and Y-wings for their trailer. Jambe was always cheeky enough to ask.

Yeah does as well Bingo. People read things to though here (damn!)

Yet, but somehow Ripplin, i think the same old faces will be posting great ideas in the Jedi:revisited thread. As deep down it is still the OT. If it comes to the prequels revisited then thats gonna be a big eye opener for most of us here methinks :-/

Okay, not Adywan, but i wanna stab at this.

Hang on. First cut to -whats with the infulx of new dudes:-) Still, its possibly a good thing(sometimes)? Hello new members apleny. Ive give up on that one.

Thing is about Jedi is theres nothing "really" wrong with it. Its Original Trilogy, and it brought an even more expansive Star Wars universe with it (people dont bring up ewoks). It just didnt quite get under your skin as maybe the first two did after seeing it.

There were things that worked, somethings that didnt, but ultimatly it was the death of Star Wars for us at that time (read as: the last star wars film ever made). Whatever it delivered, left a bitter aftertaste (therfor, no3 in the triology just fits with it).

Little did we know about the cartoons, and nemodians, and the back story of the senete could be in the works, which would of really driven fans to suicide a long time ago if we'd just known then. OTforums may not have ever of existed aswell. AArrrgghh!

Waterworld ABC Cut? A ton of info - see McFly's posts for details (Released)
Time

Im feeling really gutted for mcfly now. Yeah its spookily curious how the extended official DVD came after mcflys release. How many fans of the film would have loved announcement even before this thread got started, or even midway through it. Its almost like they are making a point of undermining our editors work now.

But what they cant reproduce is the personal passion thats put into the production of alternate and extended cuts. Or that feeling of having something so very rare sitting on your shelf that you just cant go buy anywhere, right next to your unwatched official edition of the film (or as i do mostly bung it in a multi disk case and use a costom cover for the set instead).

Still, i wont say all that all your hard work has gone to waste. The Ulysses Cut, was my first viewing of the uncut film and i relally loved it (i missed out on the reverends copy in the end - strange as i cant recall as to why now??). It would take something a bit special from the official extended DVD (the title looses the 1st battle already), to relpace my Waterworld DVDs in my collection with this. The official cover looks really good for a change yeah (but dont like the font for the title - custom covers are getting far far better than most other official covers due to the same personal passion the designers put into their work as the editors put into theirs), but, i hold edskizzorhands cover just that little bit more to my heart in this case.

I just feel like i got my extended edition already.

Urm, is that where it gets a little gray area? I own the official cut of Waterworld, and McFlys Ulysses Cut, does that now mean im required to purchace the extended edition even if i may not like something about it, just to keep my Ulysses cut now, or......urm, what?. There again i shouldnt even go there as there are some right little s*its that love the attention by trying to be a do-gooder, that jump on delemers like that.

Guess boons doing it the right way, but its a shame to see this happen.

Rebels 1:1 Imperials, at that point in the saga. Without being SO predictable as every movie made ever since is.

I take it a little to heart when im called an (empire) fan boy, but its not a bad thing when i hear im not the only one.

Thats a special tallent when you can just play with ideas just to see how they look there Ady. How many people have the skill here just to do that in the first place?

So, what other ideas do you want to toy with then o' holy one(without giving the whole game away)?

No there again, forget i asked. Surprise me (if this was my thread i would have spilled my thoughts after page 3, so respect that you can keep the lid on your ideas thus far);-P

*Sigh*

Thing is, to Mr. Joe Pubilc, I dont get the full HD, brand.

If my current set-up thats cost me a measly couple of grand, upscales a DVD9 and im happy with it, that doesnt outshine the lastest benchmark 'full HD' transfer in any major groundbreaking way, i ask, why now?

There has not been anywhere near the impact of showing any of my friends a full HD movie, compaired to showing them YOUR Star Wars:Revisited (and most of them dont really 'get' Star Wars, but we all love movies). So, for me, why alter a formula you have already mastered? And, expecially if it makes some things youve mastered difficult, then why?

Dont for one second see DVD as old technology (as then the industry that gave us DRM has already won, and would we even been discussing this?), until im inevitably proved wrong (and i even buy most of their crap).

You still have HD encodes tackle it again when (A):storage is cheeper than it is now. (B):you have pushed your bounderies beyond your limitations. (3):Blu-Ray re-writable media maybe readily accessible. And, (IV):ultimatly, when Lucas film out-do you with their eventual, long way off, enough adopters of HD technology, release of their SE Blu-Ray original trilogy, that most of us will buy, but never really love, like what YOU can do now, why not out-do them using their HD source after they release it too all us suckers, and show them up a second time?

Quoting my self in a previous post again.

Those who questioned my motives against an HD release, may realise what i was getting at now.

Will also be good to have the set in the same format aswell ;-)

So I'm getting a dog/what pets do you have
Time

Dogs dont talk back no matter what the movies tell you (can be a good thing, i guess). Seems stupid talking "english" to an animal, yet it makes scence, somehow. Nothing is worse in this day and age is referring to your pets as "pussy" though, ever!

Why you askin sean? If you want one, and if you aint gonna eat it, they will always be a mans best friend (too me, at least)...

Thats the ball ache with the new forum software. To get back there aint as easy as used to be to read your comments Sluggs (attacking Jays software aint for comedy value only - im a little miffed without saying so directly, perhaps). Thought there was something about that before.

Just going back through the last 10 pages made me remember how much i hack myself off, reading my posts :-P

Nope. That was a prompt to add that to the list, with ROTJR and the Dark Knight Revisited, once the prequels revisited are done as well, that is (no smiley thingey, this time).

God, being god, doesnt need permission to take time out, he just does.

In the meantime i'll provide the comedy interlude.

Could be a few bleek months ahead..... :-/

Although, i think discussing ones personel life on an open forum directly, maybe a matter of chioce after reading about DAVY's events with a member here a while ago (that sort of got to me). Which is why i have so much respect for him, because most of us aint like that here. After that i love to see him still posting around since. Takes a bit of courage. Or stupidity i guess. :-)

Not good that my kids 16th, 18th & 21st birthdays have all fallen in the same year and within a couple of months of each other. I didn't plan that very well. Plus its my wifes 30th too so having a big party to celebrate.

It all happens at once

Ouch! Thats gotta hurt the wallet?

Take it at least the eldest aint from your current marrige then (cuz that would be sorta sick) :-)

How do they feel about dad/the other half being still so into Star Wars at their/your age then? What did they think about the first Revisited? Out of curiosity.

You know where i sit with this one Imperial Fighter ;-)

Though can i throw in the suggestion, the first mock up you posted shows six destroyers on screen, yes, but looks rather random, and as if they are are there for the sake of just being there to sell the shot. I know im being a little to analitical with a rough mock up shot (BTW).

Notice how Han can see that  "the fleets beggining to break up" just after, suggesting the stardestroyers follow a flight path of sort, therefore cloning and scaling of any one destroyer (to a degree) would be acceptable, or even needed (i dunno myself really, and is debatable i guess).

For example, i slightly doctored your image to show the armada, with a scence of flying in formation just not totally universal, without being too in your face, if you get my gist!

EDIT) Which sounds totally arse after paying a bit more attention to your second mock up as that sort of gets what i was going at (i got a bit excitable after the first shot, sorry). Though, its interesting that you didnt clone any of the destroyers whatsoever.
