The edges around Han seem 'harder'. not sure if thats the word, but it to me its somewhat noticeable that the image was a cut and past...i have no photoshop skills so i wouldnt know how to do this, but if you could soften the edge i think it would seem more natural.

Darth Solo, Id like to get High Res versions of those Manga Covers. Are you planning on posting them?

Even yet, I have a co-worker who was on AOL, and even after he cancelled they still billed him. He finally had to block them at the bank from doing automatic withdrawls.

I had no choice in the matter. He wouldn't do anything without me giving him a reason. I said cancel. He said why. I said "because." And he went into his spiel anyway.

Then whatever he says, tell him thats the reason you're canceling.

or you could just tell them cause you dont like him. not the company but the person you are actually talking to.

there are plenty of ways you could f with him while canceling.

I say, if they are gonna be dicks about letting you cancel you should be a dick right back. I kinda want to make an AOL account just so I can cancel and have a good time with the person. I understand its their job and thats what they are told to do, but they should have a little common sense and know when it doesnt matter and to stop trying to push the issue.

Gonna have to agree with MeBeJedi on the Reese thing, dont think the brunette works for her, I prefer the blond.

And MeBe, great work on those pictures...makes me want to get a nice tall glass of milk

a few of the girls in there didnt impress me much (as far as looks), but there were def a few that would make it difficult to pick a fav from them.

Actually, when i looked at the prices, they were twice as much (which for the 4 pack of mach 3 blades would be just about $5 more). $32 for the 16 pack that you get at costco or bj's wholesale for about $16.

At least as far as the prices i remember from last time i bought razor blades.

I've considered getting one. If their claim of it reducing irritation is true id be all for it. Though i dont feel its worth investing in a new razor now as my mach 3 works good, just need to make sure i change the blade when the green strip is gone.

and the single blade for sideburns would be quite nice for cutting them straight (and even, but i think my head is crooked so not sure if it would help me)

ahah, now that you say it, that was the guy that was in the spidey cartoon. warhammer...he was helping Iron Man out while Iron Man was away on business or something. Was the original Hulk Grey? I thought that was a later on thing, and it was a more intelligent form of the hulk. sorry i keep asking off topic questions

yeah, i think i would have to agree with that...like when superman became pure energy or whatever that was.

but with no venom, they wouldnt have had that big reason to not use it, so they may have used it more often. Like it may have been an alternate costume that he used on a fairly regular basis maybe mission dependant or during the night time.

I wonder how much of that was planned out. from what it said on Spiderfan.com it seemed like they were trying to have him use the black one. Im sure sometimes they try to change the costume and just end up going back to the original because the character is so iconic.

Slightly off topic but didnt Iron Man have a black/white/grey costume at one point or was that some other guy in the Iron Man world (im getting this from the spidey cartoon, when the had carnage)

Agree with you 100% there YIYF, that was my thought when posting info on the original, and probably why there is some speculation as to if its just a black and white picture. The black costume, with the giant white spider was just cool.

I wonder if the comic spidey would still be using it if they never introduced venom.

The original cartoon is out on dvd as well as the movies (all 3 of them)

I got the first one, then they went and rereleased it in a keep case (mines in the horrible snapper case).

there is also a box set of the 3 movies, that ive seen in the store a few times but not recently, you can also find it online, though if my memory serves me correctly the box set has different art then the one i remember in the store so it may be a different set.

*edit* I also have the original comics, but they arent individual, the are the compiled into 3 or 4 'books' anyone remember that spin off comic series with the other mutants, think it was called mut-animals. I have a bunch of those (probably missing the last few, dont know how many issues it ran for though)

Daredevil - an alternative cut out there? (Released)

Yeah, it's the director's cut. I watched it a couple weeks ago. The Coolio murder case is kind of a weird subplot, but the extra 30 minutes--the movie was expanded from 103 minutes to 133 minutes--definitely improves the movie.

However, I think your memory deceives you. I don't think they did the sort of subtle editing that you believe you noticed, but rather, inserted several completely new scenes, and expanded existing ones.

I dunno, im pretty sure that the playground scene wrapped up differently when I saw it on TV. And im pretty sure they even showed a clip of the original at one point. I mean, the whole introduction of her (well her giving her name) was different, and then it went into an extended (at least i think it was extended) scene with the King Pin. In the theatrical was there any talk of her having to go cause her body guard was here, and she thought she had lost them at the coffee shop?

Daredevil - an alternative cut out there? (Released)
Time

Ok, so let me start out saying I know most people think this movie wasnt very good (to put it mildly) but I have some questions and a possible request.

Does an alternate cut of this exist?

The reason I ask is that I was flipping through the channels and nothing was really on that interested me, so I left Daredevil on in the background (it was playing on FX, they were doing their dvd on tv thing). Anyway, besides some of their behind the scenes extras they showed, it seemed to be a different cut.

I first noticed that the playground fight scene seemed different. The ending where they are introduced was different, some stuff about a bodyguard for Electra. Also, it then went to a scene with King Pin that seemed to be extended. There was an extra scene with bullseye in the airport. I think the rooftop rain scene was also slightly different. And a major change was that it seems they added some scenes with Murtock taking a murder suspect client and some trial/research stuff involved with that.

Anyway, as I was typing this, I seem to remember someone mentioning this in off topic at one point.

Is this an alternate cut? and is it available on the official dvd (seeing as this is FX’s dvd on tv, i figure they are showing stuff from the dvd) or is it an FX exclusive cut? Since its on FX it was full screen (maybe there is an HD FX channel or a widescreen broadcast).

But i guess my real question is, if this is available on dvd (officially or unofficilly) or if maybe it can be reconstructed from the official dvd, which would require a full list of the differences though.

edit one other thing, on a sidebar…one of the extras they showed was the special fx guys talking about how important it was that they got the cg elements absolutly perfect so it was believable.

well those look pretty nice for stick on labels. You havent had any problems as far as playback goes with the labels on?

anyway, should check out the R200/R300 you can get them pretty cheap at times depending on sales/rebates and such. or referbished if you dont mind going that route. can prob get one of the models refurb for under $100, cant remember the best price i remember seeing, but im tempted to say around $89 (i know i saw that, not sure if ive seen lower)

Hey pepsi, what printer do you use? I'm assuming those are printed on the dvd and not stuck on labels? I've used the R300 when doing my printing to discs (the R series seems to be a popular choice). But i noticed you had the printing right up to the edge and ive noticed (depending on the design) that sometimes im left with a small unprinted border around the edge (outer mostly, sometimes inner). I've gotten the settings pretty good, sometimes when the holes are already in the image it still gets problems, i think it works best to leave the image as a square.

anyway, starting to ramble. was wondering what your printing method for the discs was. maybe see if theres a better program out there than the one that came with the epson, or better settings for the size within the epson printer.

Devilman-1369,

if you read the information on the link i posted earlier (reposted for your convenience) http://www.spiderfan.org/characters/himself/costume/black/index.html that i read after greencapt's reply it appears what you say is correct.

according to that page, he did continue to use the black costume (apparently Felicia made him some out of cloth) and basically used it off and on (depending on the writers preference). at some point he went all black after his last red/blue costume got destroyed. essentially he went back to the red/blue because MJ put him in his place (the page says pointed out that it reminded her of Venom)

he apparently has still worn it a few times (the site lists what comics) the reason being it makes him stealthy at night.

well i def think its a cool pic either way, i saved it to my hd

and i do think the costume is cool, but its just his normal costume in all black. the actual black costume was different, check out the link i posted above for some pics of it.

also, with the symbiot the costume wasnt actually a costume. The symbiot, which happened to be black, formed the costume. as far as i know (i could be wrong as ive not read all the comics, so am basing this mainly on the cartoon) he didnt need his web shooters any more (which the movie doesnt have anyway) but rather the costume would create the web.

In the cartoon, the symbiot also formed his regular clothes (or other 'disguises'), so when he got rid of it he was left in only boxers.

the symbiot being the spidey costume is also why his black costume is very similar to how venom appears. Think of the venom costume without the crazy face and fangs (just a normal head) and in the same build as spidey and you have spideys black cosutme. I do remember hearing/reading that spidey had made an actual black costum in design of the one he had with the symbiot but dont really know the details on that (if he used it, for how long, my guess would be if he used it once venom showed up he went back to the red/blue)

thats entirely possible....but do you really think that hollywood would do something like that just for the stylistic aspect of it.

I guess we'll see.

That does bring up the point though, Have the villians be officially announced yet? and if so who are they? (not the actors but the roles they are playing).

Now back to discussing the black costume

Do you think if they have the black costume they will stay true to its appearence in the comics? I think spidey has been pretty true to the comics as far as costume appearance goes. at least when it comes to spideys costume.

Umm, i dont think so. I think this just confirms they are doing the Venom story line and this is the 'costume' (it was really the symbiot, not a cloth costume) that spidey used while he had the symbiot. He had the black costume in the comics too. I used to have (still might have it) a spider man toy that had the black costume.

I thought the black costume (not sure on the comics, but at least in the cartoon and toy) was just straight black and didnt have the same texture/pattern that the red/blue costume did. I also thought it had a white spider symbol that was differnent.

again i note http://www.spiderfan.org/ which im gonna take a look at after i post this to see if i can answer my own question.

?????

*scratches head*

I'm trying to fully understand what you're saying here.

so the light side of the Force and dark side arent the same Force? the Force knows if its good or bad and good Force wont be in a bad person?

So when Anakin 'died' in ROTS he didnt die but all the good Force was like "ok guys, he's gone bad, lets pack our bags and get out of here" (baby midiclorian) "do i need to take everything?" (mama midiclorian) "no, he'll be good again and we can return, just take what you need for about 25 years, and we'll just float around his head until then"

so then, when he redeems himself all the bad Force leaves and the good Force comes back? So there wasnt still good in him, there was good 'around' him. Guess its one of those point of view things.

the point you're (and anyone else that fails to see the problem with Hayden as the Force ghost) is that if he died at that point then he was never Anakin after he turned to Vader. When he redeemed himself he would have become Anakin again, so taking the death point of view he had to have been reborn. either way, Since Vader (Anakin) was undeniably good at the end, telling Luke he was right (right about 'There is still good in you') he would have become Anakin again, since he died shortly after, the last form Anakin would have been in would be the old/aged Anakin we see under the mask.

as a slight aside, if you wonder why in the Original he wasnt burnt and armless as a ghost its because the ghost shown was basically the old Anakin with all his wonds healed/removed. Like in Happy gilmore when Happy see's Chubb in his dream and he has his hand back.
