i have to say, when people quote images its a bit of a pet peeve of mine. its one thing if you quote something from a page or so back, but when i have to scroll through the same image 3 times on the same page its annoying. It generally seems to happen when there are a bunch of images in a post too.

Jay, if you want/need any help implementing this (or anything) send me a pm/email. I'd be glad to lend my 'expertise'. I actually dont think this would be all that hard to implement either.

heh, that remindes me. Did anyone see the apprentice episode (i dont usually watch it, but happened to catch it once) where they had to promote this movie, and the one team pronounced the name wrong while pitching their idea to the studio/producers (whoever they presented it to) was pretty funny, they didnt win.

anyway, i was just thinking how they should have gotten you guys to promote it, probably would have had a bigger release

I wasnt really interested to see it before (kinda had the same feeling as YIYF) but def think ill check it out when i get a chance.

Wow, this thread is so full of usefull information...i've been having 'problems' with some of my burnt dvds (seems to be mainly on lower quality players, i think the PS2 takes the cake for worst dvd player ever (i have the first gen so dont know if its been improved) )

anyway, next time i do some burning im gonna try and slow down the burns and see if that helps with compatibility across players.

on a related note, based on TR47's media suggestions meritline is having an anniversary sale and has white inkjet printable ritek (4x) on sale (100 for 18.99) and a 100 pack of white inkjet hub printable Prodisc (8x) for 30.99 for a 100 pack

I updated my post with my collection of logos, think that's all i have (minus the 'variations' of the above, just stuff like color changes, mainly inverse of the images you see) I wasnt looking for the best quality as ill probably recreate them (ie have someone recreate them for me in better quality) after I get ones im happy with for each of the groups I listed above.

I did pass up on a few while i was searching, they were mainly stuff along the lines of the Corellian Security Force one (stuff from the EU) and weren't what i was looking for so i just grabbed the ones i thought i could use.

It's becoming apparent that the Lucasfilm continuity guys aren't doing a very good job of keeping track of these. The official site's use of logos to designate eras only adds to the confusion. Logos are used to represent organizations, not periods of time.

So we have to look at these logos, see how they've been used in the movies, and come to our own conclusions. I've come up with the following:

As Kaal-Jhyy has pointed out, this is for the new "Legacy of the Force" era. However, it looks like a precursor to the rebellion lego, so it might be a Jedi logo from before the purge. A shame it was not used on the Jedi starfighters in Episode II. So is this a "Jedi" logo? Maybe.

The official site used to use this as the logo for the Sith. I have to wonder if a secret society such as the sith would even have a logo.

Alternate sith logo. From http://starwars.wikicities.com/wiki/Sith, this appears to be a logo from the old Sith Empire. I don't know if it's cannon or not.

Separatists, or more specifically, the Confederation of Independent Systems. Odd that this logo was not seen on the separatist forces in Episode II.

Seen on Episode III Jedi fighters and Republic Star Destroyers. Anyone care to take a guess on this one? I say it's the logo for Republic Space Forces.

Erik, I dont have a logo for the clone army, but i thought they had some insignia on their uniforms or something. I havent been able to find any pictures and havent loaded up my dvds to check the movies themselves.

I've come across the sith one you posted, unfortunatly its more rectangular shape doesnt fit in with the rest of them, so i was hoping for something more like the alternate sith picture you posted.

Thats the same logo i've found for the seperatists (Confederacy of Independent Systems) seperatists is just easier to say/type

The republic space forces sounds good for that last one.

obviously the emperial logo and rebel logo are pretty well known so they dont need mentioning...if i get some time ill try and post all the logo's i've found and what they were refered to.

I drive a 2005 Mini Cooper Convertable. Unlike hot rod i'm not selling, im actually quite happy with her.

I got that after my 1997 Ford Explorer (The Beast) ran over a Corvette that lost control on a wet road and slid out in front of me (perpendicular to traffic) while going about 60 on a highway. In trying to avoid it I ended up driving over the hood of his car. My car probably would have been fine had it not caught fire...the fire department said that the battery cable came loose and sparked some flammables in the engine.

I didnt watch much of this, but when i saw the Achievement in Makup I was glad Narnia one.

It was the only one that did anything special. I think an achievement should have to be something new/groundbreaking or at the very least impressive.

Episode III - what acheivement? Maybe its the whole movie and not just the one bit of make up artistry they show, but they chose to show the emperor. How is that an achievement. it was makeup work that was done in 1983, and done better at that. im sure i dont need to go into detail on how the emperor's makeup was sub par in ROTS.

Cinderella Man - again, maybe its for the whole movie in general (i didnt see the movie but i heard it was good, but thats besides the point) the makeup work they showed was of Russel Crowe with a black eye. WOW, thats never been done before. Those makeup artists really pushed the limits of their field there. the biggest change from the transformation clip they showed was Crowe gaining weight, last time i checked thats not makeup.

Narnia - Like I said, this is the only one they showed that was good. They showed the transformation of some guy into one of the animal type characters from the land of narnia ( or whatever its called). It was actually good makeup work.

I was glad when it won, because giving the award to the other two would have been a joke.

And relating to an earlier post, but the speech time limits. I think this is the one that was mentioned. Howard Berger and Tami Lane both went up, Howard gave a nice little speech and Tami didnt get to say anything...man, i hope she went makeup artist on him afterward and gave him a nice black eye to match russell crowe's from cinderella man. that just kinda bugged me that he didnt leave her anytime for a speech.

anywho, just needed to get that off my chest.

Thanks, I hadn't been able to find anything on the official site. I tried searching the databank (useless) at first i used the pictures they displayed, but they were inconsistant (ie, look at the background 'watermark' behind the info, it didnt seem to fit the information, though it might now that i know about the errors).

anyway, im looking for logo's that relate to the following groups

Jedi
Sith
Empire
Rebellion
Republic
Seperatist
Clone Army

the empire, rebellion, and republic were easy. pretty sure i also have the seperatist. Thought i had the jedi, but guess i dont (though it still may work if i cant find anything else)

i think ive seen like 12 on the list, I'm not saying those arent bad sequals, but i probably would have picked some different ones (cant think of what off the top of my head, could just be cause of what ive seen though) I might also reorder their list a bit, how i couldnt tell you unless i looked at it again and dont feel like doing that right now.

I got some titles confused and for some reason thought there was another movie before revenge of the nerds and that was a sequal, making revenge of the nerds 2 a 3rd installment, whatever its been a long day...so anyway looked it up on IMDB and cleared it all up, but also saw this http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0426560/ maybe that should be in the bitch about remakes thread (think there was one of those) but all i can say is please god no

also, I thought i heard that Ocean's 12 was pretty good? I havent seen it but from what i remember hearing i thought it was good.

not to mention that people dont realize that a typical shot class is actually about 1.5 ounces. so a power hour is about 8 beers (7.5) and a century would be almost 13 (12.5)

agree with the suggested adds, like sybe im also holding off on the vote.

maybe add samus. and im wondering if characters like bowser should be tossed up there too. Video game icons should be the classic characters that everyone just recognizes. but i dont think it should just list every character...just the big name classics. like i wouldnt put pikachu on the list even though im sure most people would recognize him.

I've done the hour. I may have turned it into an century but cant remember. People always ended up dropping out on the hour and I could never get anyone to attempt the century with me.

the first time i did it there were like 15 of us that started and it was only me and like 3 others that finished. It might have been the second time that I went into the century if i did, but like i said, that would have been like 4 or 5 years ago.

Def a fun time though, and listen to sybe be careful but enjoy. also expect to loose a good chunk of your group.

Do the Sith have a logo/emblem? Im looking for something along the lines of the Rebel Alliance symbol or Empire symbol. I found one for Jedi, Empire, Rebels, Seperatists, and Republic but cant find anything for the Sith.
