that scene would make no sense. first, maybe im just getting old and my memory is failing, but when did leia kill a Stormtrooper during that scene. Also, if fett is killed at that point, then how would han get to Jabba's palace? he wouldnt, and the beginning of ROTJ would have to be changed completely (and the Luke kicking ass as a jedi is one of my favorite parts of ROTJ)

did they know he was vader? I cant remember if they were aware of him being refered to as vader. it may have come up during the fight, also during the holo cam recording...but this would only inform Obi-Wan and Yoda of it, not Bail.

Also, I found the book explained this (and other things) a whole lot better. I dont want to put out book spoilers, but if you read the book you'll know what im talking about. or if you want to know how without reading the book send me a pm and ill explain. (i guess i could just post it with spoiler warnings too, maybe ill do that later when i get home)

a) saw and recognized C-3PO (remember, he's in pieces on the back of Chewbacca)
b) heard the comment (and even if he did, 'a' would still have to hold)

remember he's setting up a trap, how much attention do you think he was paying to things not directly related to the trap (besides just making sure they didnt try anything)

what i did find to be a nice touch (even though im not the biggest fan of having the droids in the PT) was when Anakin arrived at the Larrs homestead and threepio greets him refering to him as the maker.

whats with you people boycotting a movie...i can understand just not seeing it but 'boycotting' i think you people just want to boycot something because it makes you cool.

I plan on seeing this movie...it cant be that bad...i may not see it in theater but ill def watch it on cable (too lazy to rent it) I actually thought the unreleased one was enjoyable even though it was a pretty bad movie

if you read the book (things are explained much better in my opinion in the book, and the turn is more believable) its not solid permacrete or whatever they call it, its actually foam filled to reduce weight...but he doesnt get up cause the injury he did sustain was a concussion, and he was knocked out until the elevator scene.

How about options for the Dark Side of things? Or is that kept for Jay The Emperor and Zion, his Imperial Guard?

Episode III showed you could be on the council without being a master

Dark side doesnt really have much... all you really have is Apprentice and Sith Lord, maybe Master and if you wanted i guess you could add in Dark/Fallen Jedi or something like that

what does DVDXCopy have to do with anything in this post.

He's talking about converting avi's and the like and burning them to a dvd, in what i assume is dvd format, not about making copies of retail dvds.

but since you brought it up, can you still get the DVDXcopy registered/activated (even in Canada). As far as I know the servers are 'shut down' or at least dont allow activation of 'new' product. If there is a way to get a copy activated PM or email me.

I think that the PT wouldnt be the PT that we know had it been made first (besides not being called the PT, we would have the OT and the ST)

But the point is, if I-III were made first the special effects would not be cgi, so a lot of the more elaborate shots would be done totally differently or not at all. The story in general would be different because Lucas had different experiences at the time (not bashing him, but one's experiences effect ones outlook, so the story he told as the first 3 chapters back then would be different than the one he told now).

In short the movies would be totally different, and could possibly be just as good as the OT we all know and love, could have been worse, but could also have very well been better than the story told in the OT.

I've seen it. I think the age of 24 is still in the time period that people would have seen it or at least been more aware of it. My guess would be that it would be people under the age of 20 that are less exposed to the movie, maybe around 22. I know my younger brother is more exposed to the 'classic' cartoons than some of his friends but I laregely attribute that to the fact that he has 2 older brothers that grew up with the stuff.

who remembers The Snorks? I would love to get some of those episodes.
