Help: looking for... Waterworld - Extended Version
Time
I've heard about this too but didnt realize there were dvds of it floating around. Someone should take this extended cut and restore the edited scenes/dialogue that was censored for the network tv broadcast (as mentioned in the link in Gillean's previous post)

but even if it wasnt uncensored, Im still interested to see this extended cut.

CAFTA - The Beginning of the End

my bad, coincidently would have been more appropriate. I never claimed to be an english major.

plus, its a common mistake

Usage Note: The words ironic, irony, and ironically are sometimes used of events and circumstances that might better be described as simply “coincidental” or “improbable,” in that they suggest no particular lessons about human vanity or folly. Thus 78 percent of the Usage Panel rejects the use of ironically in the sentence In 1969 Susie moved from Ithaca to California where she met her husband-to-be, who, ironically, also came from upstate New York. Some Panelists noted that this particular usage might be acceptable if Susie had in fact moved to California in order to find a husband, in which case the story could be taken as exemplifying the folly of supposing that we can know what fate has in store for us. By contrast, 73 percent accepted the sentence Ironically, even as the government was fulminating against American policy, American jeans and videocassettes were the hottest items in the stalls of the market, where the incongruity can be seen as an example of human inconsistency.

help with a dvd
Time
thanks, i remembered someone saying here that the bup file was a backup so figured i could do this but like i said didnt know which one was corrupt and really didnt want to play the trial and error game.

I actually ran it through dvd shrink (since it was already smaller than the 4.7 gigs it didnt shrink anything) the resulting files didnt give me an error when i burnt them and more importantly played on my dvd player.

thanks for the help

Trouble burning MF re-edits to DVD. Help needed...
Time
im assuming these are the xvids based on the size you mentioned.

are you trying to burn them as just data discs or as actual dvds. if its actually dvds you will have to convert them to mpeg and would be better off trying to aquire a copy of the dvds the xvid copies were made of. if your just trying to burn them onto a data dvd then make sure you selected data dvd as the type of disc you want to burn and not data cd.

also, MagFan is making new versions of these on dual layer discs i believe.

Jokes thread : Reloaded
Time
A seaman meets a pirate in a bar, and the talk turns to their adventures. The seaman notes that the pirate has a peg leg, a hook, and an eye patch. "How did you end up with the peg leg?" he asks.
The pirate replies, "I was swept overboard into a school of sharks. As my men were pulling me out, a shark bit my leg off."

"Wow!" says the seaman. "What about your hook?"

"Well," answers the pirate, "we were boarding a ship when one of the enemy hacked off my hand."

"Incredible!" says the seaman. "How’d you get the eye patch?"

"A sea gull shit in my eye," the pirate replies.

"You lost your eye to a sea gull dropping?" the seaman asks.

"Well," says the pirate, "it was my first day with the hook."

<strong>The Cowclops Transfers (a.k.a. the PCM audio DVD's, Row47 set) Info and Feedback Thread</strong> (Released)

I don't think there were ever any covers made for my bonus discs. People, including myself, have been storing them in 2-disc cases along with their respective movies from either the EditDroid or TR47/Cowclops trilogies and then just modifying whatever covers they are using to reflect that.

Again, this might be the wrong place to ask, but how do people here feel about the use of CD/DVD labels on their burnt media? I've always heard that it is a bad thing, but that was a while ago. Do labels still suck? Do they still peel/mess up players? Has anyone used them? Does anyone use them? Is there a kind that is "good?"

yeah, i deal with computer illiterate customers at work too.

my favorite though is the customers that call up and leave a message for supplies, and either dont give you any information (save a phone number they say way to fast most of the time, if your lucky) or they give you all the info except one peice so you still have to call them back.

I have all combinations too. people call and ask for a certain label, give their company name, but dont say how many they want. or they just call and give their company name and say they need 'those labels you print for shelf tags' 'well thanks, we only have about 15 different types in stock, could you be a bit more specific'
