Perhaps he raised the question because the prequels turned Darth from a cool name into a lame title.

Why not both? I say we need a sith named Darth Darth.

I’m pretty certain this was the case in one of Frink’s edits.

Yes, I renamed Darth Maul as Darth Darth.

I knew Susskopf’s suggestion rang a bell.
Ha. Memories.
Good gag.

Fake Jason

Or, the superior Fake Jason™

I love the bizarre comedic use of ™ (which is why I added that lovely comic to my sig).

Well, atleast there can be 2 Fake Jason users in this forum. The only difference is the TM user could sue the other. 😃

That’s not how Jasons settle things, fakeness notwithstanding.

From the article:

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said at Tuesday’s press briefing that the raid, which killed 14 Al Qaeda fighters, was aimed at intelligence gathering.

Intelligence gathering…
THE AMERICAN FUCKING WAY!
FUCK YEAH!
Fucking HIGH FIVES ALL AROUND!
Preferably from CHISELED FLYBOYS IN AVIATORS!
YOU KNOW WHAT I’M TALKIN BOUT FRINKLEDINK!!!

From what I can tell, this is Trump’s drawing of first blood, which of course finally divests him of the one thing that set him apart from Hitlery: he’s now a murderer, too.

Choose the Force. Choose a brown bath robe. Choose a life of contemplative solitude. Choose not to have a family. Choose a laser sword, choose bleeping robots, airspeeders, stolen data tapes and tractor beam controls. Choose good health, low cholesterol, and being a mentor to the son of the guy you left limbless and slowly cooking on the side of a lava lake. Choose a stupid rat tail mullet for the peak years of your career. Choose a hovel, Choose your friends. Choose mind tricks and matching lies. Choose a trip to Alderaan for almost the price of starship. Choose a rubbish alias and wondering if you ever owned a droid and where you put that lightsaber you pinched off that friend you left for dead. Choose sitting on that commode chair watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing senate and council meetings, stuffing jawa juice down your neck. Choose fading away at the end of it all, pishing your last as a ghost in a swamp, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, freak faced, big eared gnome-thing written into the sequel to replace yourself.

Choose your future.

Choose the Force.

I choose not to choose the Force.

I chose something else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you’ve got death sticks?

Apparently I’ve neglected this thread for a year, so never saw this.
But since it got no appreciation at the time, I’m gonna award it the Better-Late-Than-Never Darth Id’s Comment of the Year (2016)!
Well done WinduBeans! Come on down to the Spice Outlet of Kessel to claim your prize!

p.s. the Begbie shtick was funny, too. I really missed out.

I’m not sure if this was brought up at the time, but at the end of the credits of the Star Wars: Obi-Wan game for the original Xbox, the (awful) voice actor they got for Obi-Wan gives the Trainspotting monologue in Star Wars format as well.

Bingywingy’s pummels the living Jawa-juice out of X-box’s, although I still give the game developers credit for the clever idea. I didn’t make the Rent-boy/Rat-tailed Ginger Obi-wan shared-actor connection before hearing that.
Interesting both versions centered around “Choose the Force.”

Great or not, I’m just not interested in it. I feel about as apathetic about Star Wars as I did about the Carrie remake. Which is really sad but I guess it just proves to me that I was never a Star Wars fan, just a fan of three specific movies.

Right there with you. This has only increased as more movies have come out. TFA was great, but doesn’t do enough to warrant classic-status. Rogue One irritated me. Neither of them are bad enough to skip in a marathon, like the prequels are. I expect I’ll feel similarly about the others.

Han Solo movie? Lol no. Can’t stand contemporary pretty-boy actors. (Even reformed stormtrooper guy in TFA was a little hard to take.)

I generally feel the same way. Someone said hating everything contemporary is a miserable way to live life; they’re probably right. Being surrounded by contemporary-minded people in a contemporary world and hating contemporary things won’t work out for long. But, trends of contemporary movies don’t last forever, and pretty-boy actors get on my nerves too. Can’t wait until it becomes unfashionable again, like it did in the 70s to some extent.

Alden Ehrenreich is no more a pretty boy actor than Harrison Ford was in 77.

Haha so wrong.
Harrison always had the quintessential asymmetrical, gloriously flawed features of a deep-character tough guy.
You’re so out of your element you deserve naught but instant liquidation.

The Wind Waker HD should be arriving any day now. I never got to play much of it on the GC, so I’m excited to finally play what seems to be a great game.
It’ll also be the last of the major LOZ titles for me to play through before BotW’s release.

They had a free download promotion of that when I first got the WiiU.
The little guys kept telling me a superspeed sail was on some island or another, but I got to the island and couldn’t find it, and I was like “I’m not fucking sailing around at regular speed anymore” and I lost interest and quit after completing maybe 9% of the game.
I’m a pretty huge Zelda fan, but that particular one isn’t good enough for me to tolerate the fucking sailing again, after having completed 100-ish% on its initial release.
I’m getting somewhat excited for BotW.
