Im going to see Transformers 2 so fuck this shit (saw) :)

Haha, nice :)

Don't tell me you're just gonna see it because it's got Megan Fox in it? All of my friends admitted that they weren't really keen on Transformers but were keen just to see her.

Well I think the teenage romance aspect was sucky in the first one. And apparently same for ROTF, oh well, I'm prepared for it. And I'm the dude who actually didn't mind the Anakin/Padme romance because Anakin reminded me of my internal conflict, lol.

Enjoy the flick dude.

- And going even more off topic here - watch this if you're a fan of Batman, and obviously if you loved The Dark Knight (which I did, being a natural fan of Batman) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1vNLYlPPzI

The music adds to the scene doesn't it?

Or any of the SAW films :)

They're friggin hilarious for some reason too.

I knew it. I'm surrounded by Sicks!

How many Sick minded do we have on this forum, anyway?

-Angel

Lol, that a Spaceballs reference?

What I meant was that the Saw franchise is full of really funny moments like Doctor Gordon's 'Fuck this shit!' in the first Saw and that short car chase between Zepp and Detective Tapp also in the 1st Saw.

Freaking hilarious :D

Just to sound elated -

'Bring My Shuttle' is a kick-ass example of someone in a tetchy mood.

I've read and re-read the things that are being done with this edit and I noticed this under Bespin -  8. Removing of all the SE shots of Vader's shuttle leaving Bespin and docking with the Executor.

I already know that it's an omission that's been well praised by everyone and I also have to say that they should indeed go. Goes without saying anyway :)

Ok, whilst the SE shots of Vader's shuttle leaving Bespin and docking in (haha the Death Star II) the Executor are indeed history in this edit, has Ady actually said that he may keep that small SE shot of Vader walking on the Bespin platform (whilst editing out the shuttle and changing the sky a bit of course)? I have to admit that for a very small shot it looks cool and is the only time that we see Vader walking in front of a city as well. It hopefully won't do anything to the excellent pace of the original - but I have a weird feeling this has been discussed. I'm far too lazy to scroll through 400 odd pages, lol. So in short, has Ady saved that little snippet for the edit? Thanks.

Why would Vader be walking out on the platform if he just said "bring my shuttle"? To stand out there and wait? I always wondered why Lucas made this change? My theory is to add symmetry between this movie and AOTC. In AOTC we see Count Doofus fly out to Corousant at the end of the move and Lucas has this weird obsession with symmetry in SW that what was done in the PT must mirror what is done in the OT. If this obsession continues I wouldn't be surprised if by his 20th revision, Lucas just has ROTJ be TPM played in reverse.

It's fine dude. I see your point. Maybe I have a strange obsession with seeing Vader out in an open city, because we always see him in either confined spaces or generally in interiors of ships/buildings etc. I always wondered what ROTJ would have been like if the Vader/Luke and Emperor confrontation was set in the Imperial Capital (which was called Had Abbadon - which was a name that is pre-Coruscant, since Timothy Zahn's novels in the 90s called the galactic centre Coruscant). I read one of the early drafts of ROTJ and it was quite fascinating. But I suppose the end duel on the Death Star II was climactic enough. The thought of two Death Stars may have been overkill, lol.

Anyway, back to TESB Revisited - I'll agree in defeat that the Bespin platform snippet (sans the Shuttle) may actually not help the pace, and it's probably a good thing since Ady is trying to match the pace of the original 1980 release.

- I gotta admit you made my day with your last sentence, lol :D  That would indeed be a cock-up on Lucas' part. Or maybe he may make Jar Jar Luke's father instead :P

And can you make it look like Yoda takes a bite out of Luke's food as well

I always loved the way he noms on lukes taquito. That is what looked like. LOL it was cute.

Haha lol, yeah I see what you mean. Poor Yoda though, he was stuck in his swamp for a long time and had no-one to play with, and Obi-Wan's force ghost might not have made regular visits. Though I'm betting when Yoda got his 'visitors', they were his old Jedi chums Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan.

Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan and Yoda will have had a few meetings prior to Luke's arrival, plus they may have had drinking games, though Yoda would be the only one who got pissed, lol :D

Not to mention Yoda would tease Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan that he was nearly 900 years old and was still alive, and this probably made him more lonely in the end because both Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan got annoyed with their little green friend. :D

- Anyway this is off topic and ANH related - but on all versions of ANH have any of you noticed the twinkle in Luke's right eye as he says 'You fought in the Clone Wars?' to Obi-Wan in Obi-Wan's hut? I only noticed it lol, and I've watched the film countless times.

And i think they will up more of him.

Points to 005 that record them :)

Is it just me, or did anyone else have the impression that this would make good fodder for another JERKY BOYS phone prank call?

And having the voice clips on buttons makes it even easier!

OMG! Click on 'What!' (which I'm sure you already have) - that's the funniest sounding thing to ever come out of Vader's mouth :D

And I must be correct in thinking it's from the end battle of ANH....

Nice, very nice :)

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to make my own edit, but I don't think I could do better than this.

Do I sense a Rocky-style training montage in the works?

Lol, that's what I was thinking of when I read HigHurtenflurst

Complete with the music.....haha :)

I suppose it's not what he meant, but thinking about a Rocky style montage right in the middle of TESB is a hilarious notion. I might make a parody of sorts and post it on my YouTube page.

That's kind of a preview!  Look at all the changes!

Lighting!  Consistency!  RED LASERS!

The next shot, for those who don't remember:

These look fantastic and is definitely the kind of stuff that I expected from Adywan since he announced he was doing TESB:R. It's a shame that I was crazy enough to be so busy that I neglected being on here looking at the progress. I'm definitely gonna be on the journey for ROTJ:R. :)

You're already putting the 2004 DVD to shame.

Ady's been doing that since he announced he was starting this project. :)

When I looked at the progress of ANH:R about a year and a half ago I knew that Ady was gonna blow the original 2004 ANH DVD out of the water.

What I really should have said was 'you're continuing to beat the crap out of the 2004 TESB DVD'   :D

I did mention that many of the shots in the trailer either didn't have some FX layers enabled to save rendering time or were unfinished. the trench being one of them.

I think I remember reading a while back that Adywan said the grain would not be static on the final release - something to do with rendering the grain , and he just didn't do that for the trailer.

Correct me if I'm wrong on that though.

I'm 99% sure Ady did say that because I'm catching up on all of the developments after a year of not being on here, lol.

There looks like there do need to be some touch ups to some of the shots seen in the trailer, but overall the development of all the shots, including the new CGI mattes (such as that beautiful looking cloud city one) indicates that any grain seen will be rendered because there are gonna be HD copies of this too.

I can't wait, we're in for a treat.

That's kind of weird.  She also endorses books, do you ever read?  LOL

@doubleofive on Twitter myself.  Didn't know Ady was on there.

Cool, I'll follow your updates too :)

Yep the great Ady is on there, and all his progress on Ep V is on there too. Looks like really hard work.

People ask me for a link sometimes and I just send them a btjunkie link. I got it that way because I dont have a premium rapidshare account. Dont hate me ady LOL. Sometimes people don't like using the ISO images but I do so that is how I send them. Ady I just got to tell you this and not to sound like a kiss ass (I have nothing to gain from it LOL) The revisited version of ANH is my favorite version ever. If I want to watch A new hope I grab your version. I dont think my purchased version will ever get a scratch because I don't use it. I can see what you are doing with ESB and I know that whatever you do to the prequels will be miraculous. Good Luck.

By the time Ady finishes the trilogy they will definitely be the definitive versions for me. In the meantime I'm settling for the pretty good xvid copy of ANH:R because I haven't watched the official DVD in months, lol (apart from with the Audio Commentary). I'm currently trying to find a way to extract the NZB file of the movie (the PAL DVD9 copy). If anyone knows any cool NZB extractors then can you please help me out.

Thanks again for the hint in your PM to me Ady, and I really appreciate your passion and dedication to the much needed improvements in the trilogy :)

^Every edition Ady has released is in widescreen.

Oh, cool :)

It's just that the xvid copy that I downloaded ages ago was fullscreen for some reason.

That's odd, because the official XVID is widescreen also.  Perhaps whatever you were watching it on compressed it.  I've had that problem trying to encode my own XVIDs.

That's probably it. Thanks for clearing that up. I've actually had the same problem with an edited version of Batman Forever, but I managed to burn that xvid onto a DVD+RW and it was widescreen on my HDTV. Do you reckon it would be safe for me to just burn the SWRevisited xvid onto a blank DVD+RW? Or does that sound plain dumb?

It wouldn't be worth it as the XVID i released was more like a "workprint" and the DVD-9's have the finished version of the movie with many changes over the XVID

Ok. I'll have to take Ady's advice about where to find the PAL DVD9, he PM'd me about it being unavailable on Rapidshare, so I'll have to try elsewhere.

Thanks anyway :)

Edit - Oh wait, you are Ady, I thought I was replying to double0five again, lol. :D

So anyway Ady, I will take the advice u gave me in the PM u sent to me.

I wish you all the best on TESB dude :)
