Now that's a site I've not seen in a long time. I think I'll get some tins.

Yes it does. Original material uses the original prints that were compiled only. They used interpolation to remove the matte lines - that's adding information to the image. Same thing with a lot of the "clean up". It isn't really that greatly cleaned up, in fact it still looks pretty shocking. But take out a wall that looks blurred, duplicate it digitally (or create a new one) and superimpose it/digitally matte it in and everyone thinks the print has been incredibly restored. I'll give you an example. Let's say that there's a big black permanent splodge in the middle of a single frame on the negative.

Using today's technology you could take part of the next frame, and the previous frame, and use them together to replace the missing section in the damaged frame. But you aren't using original material; you've just created for yourself a "fixed" frame.

I hope you can understand this-also please consider that seeding a torrent makes you a much more vulnerable target to being tracked via your IP address, which is something I do not want. I know most of the pitfalls associated with file sharing, and so I stay off the p2p networks most of the time as this is where most of the attention is focused currently. If my price is too high, I understand but am not concerned.
Who were you replying to? You'd pay more just for your discs than I do just for the 8X media, and I've said before time is effort and that effort deserves some amount of payment. If I was under very high demand, I'd buy a 2nd burner, increase my price to pay it off and dual-burn. What do I charge - $24 (US$17) inc post ($4 less for Aussies), a new burner might cost $120. If I increased it to $36 (US$25) then that would be $12 extra/sale = 10 sales to pay off burner. Easy. And I concur with P2P.

Vader's breathing and voice effects in ANH have always bugged the hell out of me; it's just so garbled and totally inconsistent with ESB and RotJ (and surely RotS). Like the colorless and jumpy lightsabers, this really dates the film. With these things finally being improved, the saga will look and flow much better.
Of course it dates the film, it was made in '77!

Thanks again to Blaksvn and tlbauerle for the original work on the covers. I just pasted the two together. I'll get the other set of covers up as soon as I can. I wouldn't hold your breath through.

Enjoy

Looks like you need to re-up your ESB cover... its damaged.
ESB was the only non-damaged one for me.

Now that's funny.

Yeah you're right, I'll re-splice the CD and just keep using SP1 anyway. They want to make you think you have to have automatic updates turned on, and waste processor power checking if your virus scanner is there; SYMANTEC ARE YOU THERE? YOUR VIRUS SCANNER IS WORKING FINE, TY.

Or Maybe it's a CONSPRIRACY!
Yeah, I installed SP2 and then uninstalled it in one day.

Can you re-post your covers? They'd be a good addition to my cover's CD (not to mention I'd like to print them - well depending on what the front looks like, I might have to rework it a bit for myself, but the backs are great).
