As I have mentioned in a different thread, my parents are hard Christian right. When I was in middle school and early high school, I blindly followed their ideology. Now that I am questioning everything, I am curious about what you think of sexual purity and abstinence. Maybe it's indoctrination, but I think that sex should wait until after marriage. Do you believe that "atheist abstinence" is an oxymoron, as if abstinence is strictly a religious thing? Can something (like marriage) be sacred without God? If there is no God, is marriage meaningless?

In complete seriousness, does anybody with hq vhs preservation equipment (hq s-vhs player, tbc, etc) near one of the areas listed on this website? It would be nice to see the compilation movie listed in that site preserved in it's entirety, regardless of how unimportant and childish it is. Aside from the episodes themselves (...in the haunted house and ...goes batty) the only existing footage for this special on the internet is this clip from the beginning. Ridiculously cheesy, but nostalgic for some.
Last night I dreamt that I was able to borrow (literally, and apparently legally) a rerelease of some (nonexistent in reality) film. Apparently it was 31mm, but it seemed larger. It felt cool to feel the film, though I had trouble making sure that the film wasn't reversed. In the dream, I didn't have a projector, so somehow I had to psychically have it shown on an old analog tv. I knew the film would have looked better if I had a projector, but I thought it was cool to see it from film in the first place. Apparently it was being shown open matte, and some scenes looked weird because of it. It was a weird, but awesome, dream.

I wouldn't do away with copyright altogether. People should acknowledge that someone created a work. That said, people should have the right to circumvent any drm they want (maybe not any locks related to government things, if you consider that drm xD). It is in my belief that "piracy" will never die, but it would be reduced if drm was removed and programs wouldn't have ridiculous prices which only encourage piracy among the under-21 crowds (adobe suite and dts hd ma encoder come to mind).
People should be allowed to make derivative works (non-commercially, unless the author allows people to sell derivative works) without fear of said derivative works being deleted online.
As for movies, tv shows and the like, orphaned works should definitely go into the public domain. Stuff like the earliest Mickey Mouse cartoons should go in the public domain. I'm not sure whether Disney (in this example) should let it's characters go in the public domain, but it can't keep them forever.
I was thinking that copyright shouldn't last as much on a work as it does now. Maybe 50-75 years after said work is released, and that's assuming that the work isn't an orphan. IDK.

A few days before "Team_Ender has fallen", I PMed Jay to ask about sock puppet accounts and banning rules
, had I gotten permission, I would have made a sock puppet account named Project_MSB (with an underscore, but you might not be able to tell that with this black background), using a proxy to make it less obvious where I was typing from. The MSB is "supposed" to stand for Managing Source Building, and the sock would have presented itself as an alternative to Github. Some of you would think I was a spambot, while others might have guessed at my true identity because MSB can also stand for Magic School Bus. Eventually I would have said that I was responsible for most of the hacking attempts on originaltrilogy.com and demanded that you move your site to my (nonexistent) database. If that didn't get my sock banned, I would have revealed my true identity and call myself the leader of Species 8472. I would have assumed that this whole thread would have died shortly afterward, but not before revealing that I never really hacked the site.
I might have made a comment under the lines of "Did that make you uncomfortable? Now you know who the Team_Ender business made me feel"
Had I been given the go ahead for my plan to start, how would you have reacted?

Well, hopefully this won't be permanent, but seeing that only one person even considered joining the League of Bunnies and even he never said a definitive yes or no, I decided that I should leave until the Team_Ender situation ends. Congratulations Team_Ender on your wonderful stalemate.
