The other problem is, you can’t really break up the stuff on Dagobah. It’s really just two scenes, talking with Yoda and then talking with Ben. But it doesn’t make sense to cut away after Yoda’s death because if you want to cut back later to the scene with Ben, you’d end up wondering “well what has Luke being doing hanging out at this dead guy’s house?”

I’ve seen the idea knocked around to somehow do a background replacement and make the Obi-Wan scene take place on Tatooine/in Obi-Wan’s hut, but that seems…difficult to pull off at best.

I’ve played around with it before, I think it’s doable. But it would require a few completely new background mattes, as some of the shots don’t quite match up. Getting it to look right would be real tricky.

Once I find the time to work on my own ROTJ edit, I’ll definitely try my hand it piecing this scene together. I’ve always loved the idea.

I doubt the site going down means anything. Like ChainsawAsh said, if he wants to share something, he will. In the meantime, there’s no point in speculating.

They could also include the OUT as a digital copy, like they did with The Last Jedi’s score only bonus. Who knows.

It’s the 2004 master, as expected. Non-anamophic 16:9 crop. How lovely.

Although now that I think of it, there were no Greedo subtitles. Looks like it’s a mix of different sources? Not sure. Those are all the screenshots I took before my “preview of CNNgo” ran out. It’s easy to find if anyone wants to investigate further, but it’s definitely all Blu-ray/GOUT/Despecialized, not a new source.

Looks like it to me! And that was me dissing the SE, lol. It would be downright insulting to tell John Dykstra and the other legends in attendance that “special editions are great, makes it look modern.” I don’t get these people.

Something that caught my eye:
There’s a difference in the color grade on the last frame of this shot at 1:43:41.

It’s a duplicate frame, I’m guessing that has something to do with it. Or is this color-shift present on the Blu-ray?

Looks fantastic! The original grade looks terrible, one of my biggest annoyances with the film.

Nice work. Just one thing I noticed: Original is misspelled as Orginal.
