I’m guessing he moved his head while the camera was set to a slow shutter speed? Either that, or someone did a really lousy Photoshop job removing his face for whatever reason.

I might be mistaken, but it seems in this new YouTube video he contradicted himself on a couple of things. Before he said the alignment of sources were performed with a semi-automatic software using the method of image registration - there even was a video demonstrating it on the SW logo.
iirc Mike’s always said that the stabilization had to be done by hand. I think he used the image registration software to fix warping.

It’s a bit dark, but if Chewie stayed dead and Rey actually spent time dealing with the demons…that would’ve made for a better movie overall. In fact I’m sure that was intended at some point but the executive hands rewrote it. Same with 3po…
I agree. I thought that was what was going to happen after Chewie’s “death scene” and I was excited for it. I remember thinking “holy shit, Rey kills Chewbacca, this is going to be good,” but then we learn he’s still alive a minute later and Rey doesn’t really have to deal with it. Would’ve loved to see more of her struggling with the darkness within her, and afraid to continue on, fearing that she’ll destroy the rest of her friends.
Really like what you’re doing here! I’d pick 2, ESB footage looks most natural to me. I’d also love to see a Sebastian Shaw version, though I realize the resources available for that are limited.
Maybe someone could isolate the Nightsister magic sound effects from The Clone Wars and add it to some Exegol moments to convey the feeling that a mysterious power is at work.

That shot is from the Lapti Nek scene, which has always been like that (not mirrored). The mirrored shots of Boba Fett you’re thinking of are from the Boushh/Chewie scene. Presumably they stay mirrored in this version.
Looks nice, but in this case I think this scene should definitely lean towards blue, to contrast the scene in TFA that is red.

I like the slow-mo, I think it shows that Luke’s reflexes are quicker than Kylo’s.

Pretty damn awesome. The retcons don’t make much sense, but they make the film much more interesting (as well as 7 and 8.) Wasn’t expecting Rey Palpatine at all, but I like it. I was rooting for that twist in Episode 8. Snoke = the Emperor works I guess. Hard to bring Palps back without that being the case.
It’s way too fast paced, and I was a bit overwhelmed. Should’ve been split into 2 movies or something. I’m eager to see some deleted scenes. Hopefully, edited in, they can give the film the breathing room it needs. An official extended edition would be great; it feels like they cut the film down a ton.
TROS is not perfect of course, but I really loved it. I’ll admit that the ending had me in tears. Way better than I was expecting after seeing the crap Rotten Tomatoes score. (Also I loved the John Williams cameo) For now I give it an 8.5/10

Yes, everything post-1997 has been redone. I’m guessing the 1997 scenes have their pre-2004 compositing too? Not sure. (were 97SE shots recomp’ed in 2004 or am I remembering that wrong?)
