It's a shame that there was no NTSC LD, because it would great to have the audio. There's not even an entry on dvdcompare.net, the LaserDisc Database, or DVDBeaver for this film, so it really does seem to have slipped through the cracks.

I've been searching for an HDTV broadcast but drawn a blank.  I'll keep looking.

That is intriguing.  Let's hope that you can track it down.  I take it that you are using an NTSC DVD as your main source for the video.

In the theatrical cut, the Commander in Chief bends down as if to pull off the mask, but the camera cuts away before he does so.  It's somewhat jarring if you know what was cut, but it looks a little like he is checking the assassin's pulse.  The assassin is never revealed to be human in the theatrical cut (though his blood is obviously red), nor was Colonel West's briefing included.

The DVD has English AC-3 2.0 at 192kbps and no subtitles.  Unfortunately, it's a field-blended NTSC-to-PAL conversion.  I suppose that you might find a use for the audio though. 

EDIT: Forget the above.  Whoever made the IMDb page used the image of the wrong film.  The picture for the 1982 film Aladdin and the Magic Lamp shows the image for the 1970 film Aladdin and the Magic Lamp.

I have the DVD of the 1970 film.  I also have a VHS rip of the 1982 film with English audio and Finnish subtitles.  There's a Greek dub on YouTube that you might want to add to your collection.

What's the Italian DVD like?

IMDb gives the original title as Arajin to maho no ranpu, but that might be an error.  If I ever come across any information, I'll let you know.

I understand, but bear in mind that that sort of thing happens to everyone on occasion.  Maybe the make and model didn't help: I've never liked Remingtons and prefer the BaByliss 7647U because it's very easy to use.

Start with a high setting and reduce it one notch at a time until you are happy with the length.  Repeat this process for the area under the nose, which usually requires a separate setting.  Write down the settings for next time.

You'll get the hand of it.  Just make sure that the silver arrow on the comb-guard's dial is lined up with the groove/marker above the dial before you begin to adjust the setting; otherwise, the numbers will not correspond with the intended lengths.

TV's Frink's right, Leonardo.  You should try to get some help from somebody.  If you get help, you might be able to help others at some point and thereby become worthy of the help that you don't feel that you currently deserve.

Got it.  Censored tracks can be amusing, and I occasionally prefer the re-dubbed lines to the uncensored ones.  Good luck in your search!

That's a well-phrased judgment of the film and sums up perfectly how I feel about it.  I found it entertaining enough in the theater and enjoyed it despite its (considerable) problems.

In English, our is a possessive adjective too.  Many textbooks mistakenly call such words possessive pronouns, but there is no basis for doing so.  You are quite right to point this out.

I'd be wary of using x262.  It's far from finished, and there doesn't seem to have been any significant development for a while.

While I very much appreciate the preview, I have to agree with Harmy.  I am finding it hard to see past the compression artefacts.
