STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION

I don't see what' s wrong with the original explosion. The praxis ring looks way too CG and doesn't fit in with the rest of the movie. Everyone I've watched this with has pointed it out.

I agree. I really don't like that praxis ring from the SE. Adywan did seem to improve it though. The ring seemed to stick out less amidst the larger explosion.

When I first saw Star Trek VI, I thought, cool! I've never seen an explosion like that before. Now every time I see a praxis ring explosion, I just think, oh it's that same explosion again.

THE STAR WARS SAGA - 1080P AVCHD DVD-9 for PS3 & Blu-Ray players - Episodes 1, 4 & 5 available now
Time

I had the same fear until a couple of weeks ago, INv8r_ZIM, and I'm so glad I took the trouble to overcome it. I got all seven movies I mentioned above for $11, and that's about the cost of a single DVD or a decent bottle of wine.

If people really want all these things, without waiting ages for them to appear on torrent, they have to take steps to get them. I understand the reluctance; I really do: I used torrent for years rather than learn to use rapidshare or newsgroups, but now I honestly wonder why I waited.

sorry to here about the issues you are having. I do have an idea how to fix this for you.

Download TSMuxer. Load the .m2ts file into it. untick the main video file and select demux to demux all the audio tracks. Once this is done retick the video file and remove all the other tracks (subs too i'm afraid). keep TSMuxer open.

Now you'll need Besweet to import the audio tracks into to convert them to 23.976fps. load each audio file into besweet individually and select ac3 as the output. Now for the 5.1 track you need to click on the "ac3 & ogg" tab. change the bitrate to 640 and click back on the besweet tab. now tick "change framerate" and input 24000 into the first box and 23976 into the second. now output your 5.1 audio track. now for the 2 other audio tracks do the same as above but change the bitrate to 192.

Now you have your new audio tracks import them all back into TSMuxer. Make sure that the 5.1 track is the first audio track in the list below the video file. Now click on the video stream to highlight it. Tick the "change fps" box and change the value to "24000/1001". This will just change the header in the video to play at 23.976fps and doesn't add or remove any frames. Now select "create bluray" as the output and create your folders. Once this is done open imgburn and import both the BDMV & Certificate folders and change the udf file system to 2.50 and burn. everything else should be done automatically by Imgburn.

Hope this helps

Okay, I followed these steps and the audio and video are back in sync. Actually I think they are possibly still a frame or two out if you look very closely, but nothing that you'd notice unless you really looked. Funnily enough the moment when the Jawas jump R2 seems to be pivotal somehow as I can still hear him fall before he is seen to fall on screen. Weird! Especially as all the other effects are in sync.

Unfortunately there is now popping in the audio, which wasn't there before, although the audio is not noticeably quiet. I'm not 100% clear on the instructions for using eac3, which followed. Can anyone explain them more clearly? I wouldn't even attempt to use the program without a GUI, as I'm at the limits of my current technical know-how at the moment.

I had to take the ac3.dll from the latest beta of Besweet and use it with the latest stable build, as my copy was missing an ac3.dll. Could this have affected the audio?

Thanks for any help whatsoever.

No; I'm pretty sure it hasn't. It's still on alt.binaries.starwars though.

Signing up for newsgroups is well worth it and easier than it seems. You could grab all three AVCHDs and ANHR PAL DVD 9 to boot, along with some other lovely items, such as dark_jedi's wonderful anamorphic versions of the original trilogy. Just a thought! :-)

Looks like I have the same issue. I burned Ep 4 ages ago and only watched the first few mintues to see if it worked. Now I watch through it, the audio does go out of sync at the point you mentioned. I have a Pioneer 51FD.

I'm not the most technical person, but 'll have a look at Adywan's instructions and see if I can get it to work. If so, I'll try to help Boba Fett's Wife too. (feels weird saying that)

Come on gents !! Is there no here that can help a Star Wars chick with help in getting a version of Episode 4 with the 24frames converted to 23.967 frames ! Is there any gentlemen here ?.

Help me ** INSERT YOURE NAME ** youre my only hope !

What exactly do you want, someone to fix this and reburn it to a DL DVD and then send it to you? DL's are still kind of expensive, especially the good Verbatim DL's.

I don't actually understand her question. Is she implying that the frame rate is wrong on the AVCHD, or saying that she wants an NTSC film conversion? If the latter, what would be the point? You'd lose the high def, wouldn't you?

I don't get it.

edited - Okay, I read back through the thread. I understand now. I've never heard of a blu ray player that has problems with 24 fps. I always thought 23.967 frames was just rounded up to 24 fps. Never realized there was much of a difference.

I thought all blu rays/AVCHDs were straight 24 fps. Can anyone explain this further?

Sorry for going off topic, but the issue has been raised...

Did Adywan make any changes to Darth Vader's movements in the moments after Obi Wan's death? I've always thought that if you watch Vader through the doors, his movements seem erratic. He seems to walk away twice and then lurch towards the doors.

It seems a little better in Adywan's version, but I haven't checked the original yet to see if anything's changed. What do other people think?

I loved watching Adywan's ANHR by the way, so a big thank you to him - especially for his help in downloading it.

I'd never heard about the logo being a solid instead of an outline. Maybe some was confused with the first trailer, which had solid lettering instead of the final version of the logo.

The book also had solid lettering. At least it does on the 1978 copy I have.

The Phantom Menace -Theatrical Version - NTSC DVD- ADYWAN - NOW AVAILABLE
Time

I'll look forward to this too. I saw the project posted on newsgroups, when I went to download ANHR.

Do you know before I read this thread I thought most fanedits added certain scenes to EP1 as standard, as I hadn't seen them in the cinema? And I thought I'd just overlooked them when I thought I hadn't seen the extra bits in the podrace scenes, or Anakin's robotic hand hold Padme's, in the cinema.

I swear Darth Maul's body wasn't seen falling down in two halves though, when I saw the film, but maybe that is my faulty memory. To be honest I bought my prequel DVDs relatively recently just to watch fanedits - when I learned of their existence - and have never actually watched them.

Okay. Thank you for helping me. I've downloaded NZB O-matic and I'm looking at Astraweb's site, because Adywan seems to like them. There's unlimited access or unlimited DSL. Do I need the DSL?

Also, when I look at binsearch it seems to say that only some parts are unavailable, or am I reading this wrong?

I apologise to the moderator for this being off topic, but I'm only doing this to try to get ANHR. It took ages for me to work out how to use jdownloader when I first started using rapidshare, as I'm useless at this sort of thing... :-(
