Is there still no way to load either the LUT or the color-correction model in AviSynth?

What is the point of these birds anyway?
There are pears and pairs and peers and perching and piercings as well. It’s not just birds, man.

Wow, an entire college, huh?
You’re just jealous because you don’t have a college.
Is it possible to do something about the fact that the Post content box has the instructions for the Markdown syntax? The number of posts that consist entirely of those instructions is increasing to the point at which it’s becoming downright annoying. It’s most apparent in Harmy’s threads, but that’s probably because they see the most activity.
While I understand that people ought to (and probably do) realize what is happening after a point, this site sees a steady trickle of new members, many of whom turn up to find the projects, post once or twice, and are never seen again. This means that this sort of post is probably going to continue to be a problem. As always, when people keep making the same mistake, there’s a flaw in the system, no matter how logical it is on paper and how much what is happening flies in the face of common sense.
I see. Thanks for the explanation.
I’d like to be able to create headings that used minuscules and were not underlined. Of course, the styles available are ultimately up to you. 😃
The headings don’t seem to work in the same way as they do on the markdown-it demo page. Adding multiple hashes followed by a white space results in a heading that is underlined and in block capitals. Is this expected behavior?
Workprint frames 141780 & 781 are the same frame repeated (GOUT 141780).
That’s what I’d expect his PAL GOUT to look like after applying my sync script.
#PAL GOUT
Mpeg2Source()
AssumeFPS(24000,1001)
DuplicateFrame(141781)
DeleteFrame(68664,68665)
Presumably, Harmy could leave in the relevant SE frame where the PAL GOUT needs the duplicate. (I’ve never checked the frames on any of the SEs, but I assume that they are not missing any compared to the NTSC GOUT.)
But I don’t understand the other differences that you pointed out.
EDIT: I’m working on providing Harmy with a frame-accurate reference for the NTSC GOUT.

Also, I swear that you, Team Blu, and hairy_hen had already decided to standardize on NTSC GOUT in all new releases to avoid problems, because when that happened I went through all my audio and subtitle resources and switched them to NTSC. Ergh, please not again…
Go here.

He’s the seeder… probably not the fuckwit.
I’m not sure who is. I take it that the program that created the menu was called Sonic. I’ve never even heard of it, and I’ve no recollection of making menus for my DVD conversions for Harmy – ever.

With all due respect to the person who made and uploaded that DVD5, I would recommend that if someone really wants a DVD copy, they encode their own. There are some serious quality problems with that one (but SW and ESB DVD5s look great!).
I’m fairly sure that the DVD-5 of RotJ that is floating around is one that somebody ran through DVD Shrink, because my conversion used the same method as SW and ESB. It didn’t have a menu. I don’t think it even had hairy_hen’s 5.1 on it. As Darth Mallwalker will you tell you, I’m terrible at keeping copies of my DVD conversions, so I can’t check the disc, but my conversion wouldn’t have looked terrible.
Harmy had better hurry up with the next version so I can make a better conversion available. 😃
The preview looks great. It was a nice surprise to receive the e-mail. Thanks!
^ That’s a shame. I’d love to have an HDTV broadcast in 4:3 (with either form of the credits).

The Hub (now Discovery Kids) played the film in HD with the scrolling text intro a few years back.
In 4:3 or 16:9?
Quite a few of us are in your situation, darth_ender. Even if you might never contribute as regularly as you once did, I’m sure there’ll be spells in which you can post more frequently than you can at the moment. Until then, good luck!
The Oxford comma. An elegant mark for a more civilized age.
Good man!
Oh, and…

Done!
The link parser probably only handles traditional URL types. I didn’t write it, so I can’t say for sure.
It’s extensible, so I can probably add that functionality.
I’ve copied the example given (whatever text)[link], but the resulting link does not work. The text to which I attach the link appears in blue lettering (as it should), and the URL is not visible (as expected). When I hover the cursor over the link, the URL appears in a white box in the bottom-left of the browser (Firefox), but I am unable to click on the blue lettering or open the link in a new tab/window. Right-clicking Copy Link Location does enable me to copy the URL into a new tab manually. Any assistance would be appreciated.
EDIT: This behavior is occurring in a private topic.

but I would've thought 704 --> 960
or 720 --> 982-ish if you like to keep the overscan.
Yes. If althor's keeping the pillarboxing, which he is, then 720→984.
The pillarboxing fluctuates considerably in thickness throughout LDs, which means that cropping it off before resizing requires breaking the video into sections, cropping them appropriately, and then splicing them back together. Needless to say, this is laborious, and I don't suppose that althor has the time.
stretch009 said: It really looks great except for the Japanese subs. Do you think you could possibly upload it again but without the Japanese subtitles?
I second that. I'd rather not have to recompress the video to remove the subtitles. For me, it's unwatchable with them.
And what's up with the AR of the new encodings? The new JSC encoding is about 2.56:1, which could well match what is on the LD, but the encoding of the Mitsubishi LD of ESB is about 3.12:1. Surely that's not what's on the disc.
The Fox LD is about 1.16:1. I rather like the way the video looks.
As always, thanks for the releases, althor. Your LD captures are great.
poita said: 6) Every print, and every screening would have looked different...
...grading Star Wars now is really down to the individual.
I completely agree with this and with everything that you wrote in post #333, poita. It's what I've believed for some time.
1) The IB Techs are all too green, Senator print included.
Even though this is true, I still absolutely love the way all the green makes Star Wars look. It feels right to me somehow, and I don't want my go-to version to look any other way.
Let's hope that this new tool will lead to more people's finding a release that pleases them in terms of color.
Possessed, we're all with you. You've gotten some really good advice from people here already. I hope that you find something that helps, and do post here whenever you're feeling down. Talking it through usually helps, even if it just makes you feel that you're not alone.
^ You mean Hand Solo and Princess Leotard.
