I was perusing the review thread and saw a good point raised by NeverAr: Kylo shouldn’t have been able to take the TIE fighter from the Death Star II to Exogol, as ANH made clear that they do not have hyperdrives. Given that we see it for all of one shot, standing still, it should be feasible to replace with something else, like an Imperial shuttle or a TIE variant.

Believe it or not, Lucasfilm actually bullshitted their way out of this one.
In the novel, it is revealed that the TIE fighter Kylo used was an “experimental variant TIE with a prototype hyperdrive” or something like that.

It might be a cool idea despite that, to replace it with a model similar to Darth Vader’s TIE Advanced as that has a hyperdrive. Then it could be like Luke’s ship and Vader’s ship during the trench run.

Now to be more specific.
Poppasketti, those TIE fighters are looking incredible! Just need to be tweaked a little more to blend in with the enviroment a little more naturally.
Also, it is probably worth mentioning that those models are Imperial TIEs, not First Order. 😉

The mountain removal is perfect, sorry for holding you and Idir up while you wait for the finished soundmix. 😕
Also, I never even noticed those cars in the forest footage, I’m impressed with how well you removed them and am glad people seem to be mostly in favour of using that video!

I do however think that it might be a good idea to add those three TIEs into this video:

Agreed. Though I seem to be one of the few people who thinks that both the edited Rogue One shot and this documentary shot would work well together.

We arrive on Mustafar at a familiar castle, then travel a little further to a rejuvenated patch of forest where the battle takes place.

Great post, but since when do Imperials have unnatural hair colours? 😐

I found some National Geographic footage of forest fires and re-colored the clip as closely as possible to the first scene. It was actually a trick I picked up from another editor who used Nat Geo footage for an establishing shot for Ajan Kloss.

Very nice, I should let everyone know that the audio Idir used was an ambient sound-mix created by myself which I will soon be remastering and sending to him since his copy was ripped straight from YouTube! Because of this, it means that the audio in Poppasketti’s clip is unfinished as of now.

Also, Poppasketti, have you made any more progress on the face-morphed “Just Rey” clip? That is the version I am keen on obtaining! 😄

I remember a while back that there was some experimentation with putting that deleted Kylo on the star destroyer bridge scene from TLJ into the opening on Mustafar and just noticed an issue with doing that is that the deleted scene takes place in Snoke’s destroyer, The Supremacy which has RED floors and was destroyed by Holdo, the destroyer in the opening of TROS is a regular one which wouldn’t have the red floors.

I LOVE the idea of using the Vader helmet shot before he meets Palpy, since it makes absolutely no sense why he would connect with it after learning that IT’S NOT VADER! 😄

I do think that DominicCobb’s two vision scenes and all his other work he’s done is quite excellent, so maybe you should find more ways to incorperate some of his scenes into this, since you haven’t really given as much detail on how you are reworking all the Rey Palpatine scenes yet! 😋
