People, have patience!! People do have lives other than the computer! He'll post when he can. For my own personal use (I didn't know what Soulflare would think) I recreated Soulflare's back covers and used them in lieu of Cerbero's for my covers, with a few small modifications, and used my spine and front (again, with a few small modifications). If Soulflare doesn't mind I'll try to get that up with my others when I can, but at this point they're for myself.

@ MBJ -

That was just a color-correction of the shot you posted here. I'm thinking about getting a Mac since they're supposed to be better with video editing, for my "home" movies (I've made a couple indie movies myself with an 8mm camcorder and have never been very happy with the way they captured and turned out), and if and when I do I'll start my own coversion project, but for now I'm happy with the anamorphic set.

Quick question for owners of the anamorphic version of the original trilogy. Does your ROTJ not display the THX trailer and the time/chapter info on the front of your dvd player while the movie is playing? I just got this set (thanks digitalfreaknyc) and the first two movies show this info, but ROTJ doesnt? Thanks.
So yours does that too? Thought it might've been a problem with my burn but I'd already deleted the torrent and didn't want to re-download it. Must be a problem with the torrent. And the timecode problem doesn't occur on some DVD players I've noticed, but it does on I believe all Toshibas that I've tried. It's not that much of a problem really, you can still skip chapters, the only problem is you don't know how long the movie's been going on. Hmm.

I've noticed (on the Anamorphic set anyway) that all the SW movies need a little color-correction, and Jedi needs it badly. Here's an example (I can't get the full-sized screen like you but here's what I have) of what I've done with one of the two shots you posted here:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v58/chainsawash/SS.jpg

Now I don't know about you, but that's a hell of a lot better and there's little to no loss of detail. If you had the time, you could color-correct every shot in the trilogy to make it look just awesome, and maybe even do some dust-removal. Personally I'd just color-correct, I don't mind the dust at all. If you'd do that, first I'd strongly suggest correcting not frame-by-frame but shot-by-shot. For example, put all the frames in one shot into the same Photoshop file and color-correct them all at the same time, basically using the worst-looking frame in the shot as your guide. Second, I could help you out if you want; you could send me some shots via e-mail and I could send the corrected ones back, etc. The biggest problem I have with ANH is sometimes faces get quite red, in ESB there are some shots that are just off, and in ROTJ there are MANY shots that are way too bright, where the black doesn't match the black of the letterbox (most notably in the Vader-Luke duel while Luke is hiding and before he gets really P.O.'d about Vader mentioning Leia, if I remember correctly) and a lot of blue haze around stars.

Like I said, I'd be more than happy to help out if you want. The capture looks to be really good, just needs a little tweaking is all.

I tried Rikter's cover archive torrent but it won't do anything on my computer.

That would be mine and it's not on there; I'll get the covers to Rikter or someone who can host them, I just have no means to do so at this time. And they now have the "Star Wars" text on the logo:

I'd just like to remind people that these are NOT my covers, they are another person's and I do not have access to high-res versions; what you see is what I have.

And actually it was Disney that screwed us over, but we haven't been able to carry Lucasfilm covers for about a year now, six months or so before the site closed. That was because we had covers up for the bootlegs probably, but afterwards we didn't allow non-official covers.

What do you guys think about the green saber? I have access to that art, and if you'd like my covers to use the green saber rather than blue I'll do it.

I'd say nix any "Episode" references and just use the names of the movies, nix the "Revenge" and use "Return", and use something else for Star Wars to match better with Empire and Jedi. I absolutely love the backs and am a little unsure about the "Unauthorized Collection" moniker like DanielB is, but other than those things, they look awesome. It might sound like I'm being overly critical but I was with a DVD cover site for two years (still am but it got shut down for the moment) and we look for all those little details, which is why I insisted on having mine so high-res compared to, specifically, Cerbero's posters on his set, which look fine but don't fit the standards we've set and that I've gotten used to following.

On another note, here's some covers I've seen around the Net. DO NOT ASK FOR THESE AS THEY ARE NOT MINE, I just liked them and figured I would show you guys (not sure about the green ROTJ saber though):

Again, I CANNOT SEND THESE TO ANYONE, they are just examples.

Mine are nearly done entirely, just fine-tuning and tweaking a few things here and there. I included the ESB and ROTJ logos DanielB provided us with, so thanks a bunch for that. They look a ton better now. As for posters, again, give me a little bit, I'll have to get all of them individually up on Angelfire and then post them here, then re-upload and re-post each time AF shuts me down. Wish me luck.

Okay, back from a long week at my parents. If someone can point me to a guide on how to create torrents, I'll gladly put up a torrent of all of my covers.

I'd like to see Obi-Skywalker's covers but it appears they are 'temporarily unavailable'. For the record, though, I loathe all the official DVD covers with the exception of the bonus disc cover and the actual box the OT is in.

And TheSessler - I have hi-res Struzan art for all five movies, I'll try to get a torrent up for that when I figure out how.

Wow...didn't think my covers were going to get such support...okay, I'm having some problems with hosting and such (I have a Hotmail e-mail account, and all the files into a ZIP is 50 megabytes, covers only is 35, and Hotmail's limit for sending attachments is 2, plus Angelfire's limit is 20)...do you think, if I could get them to you, Rikter, that you could somehow do all the hosting for them? That's my only problem, I have all the files zipped and ready, just not hosted anywhere.

DVD labels art

I don't do labels for DVDs. DVDs spin faster than CDs, and therefore get hotter quicker. On a longer movie especially, but on repeat viewings of any movie, the disc label can melt off and ruin the player and the DVD. Happened to a friend of mine's backup copy (his was flooded out and yes he actually uses DVDXCopy for backups and not bootlegs) of LOTR:FOTR EE last year.

I'll do you one better -- PM me your email address and I'll send you whatever posters you want. The Struzans prequel ones are textless, the Struzan OT ones aren't (I cloned out STAR WARS to put in A NEW HOPE), and all the original posters are, but Leia is slightly cut off below the breasts on ROTJ because of where I had to remove the old title. I can send you the ROTJ one with the old title text if you want, however, and Leia's all there in that one.

In case anyone's interested, I have a set of all 6 (currently 5, yes) movies with the title only (no SW: Episode.... at all) and Struzan poster art:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v58/chainsawash/AOTC.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v58/chainsawash/ROTJ.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v58/chainsawash/BM.jpg

And one with just Star Wars, not ANH:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v58/chainsawash/SW.jpg

I also made a trilogy set (no prequels) with the back and bottom half of the spine from cerbero's covers, an actual film-title logo with no SW Trilogy reference on the spine, and much higher-resolution poster art for the front with actual film title logos rather than the plain font. I have two versions of Star Wars, one using ANH and not SW, one using SW and not ANH. If you want I can post previews of those as well later on. The features disc uses Cerbero's front and back, but the spine is the style I used on my others.

--edit--

Here's my other set:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v58/chainsawash/ROTJ2.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v58/chainsawash/SM.jpg

And the ANH one (the reason my ANH covers are crappy is because I hate that title and thus will never use it on the cover on my shelf):

That's a 16:9 anamorphic stretch that was taken care of in the first pic, but not the second. This is one of the few changes I quite like from the new DVDs.
