B - Is there some trick to the BeSweet idea? When I tried to do a 5.1 ac3-2.0 wav conversion that I ended up with just the front-left and front-right channels rom the 5.1 with no dialogue at all.

When making the Anthology miniseries, Yoko provided some home tapes of John playing piano and singing some unreleased songs he was working on. One of them was Free as a Bird, which was mostly incomplete. After massive tweaking and cleaning of the tapes, Paul wrote a new verse or two to fill in the gaps, and Paul, George, and Ringo "finished" the song basically by putting music to John's vocals. This resulted in the song released in 1995 as "Free as a Bird," which is credited to all four Beatles.
There were two other songs the band was considering using, but one was considered unusable due to the condition of the tape, and the other was an early version of "Real Love," which Lennon had finished at one point and recorded but not officially released until long after his death. This version contained almost completely different lyrics. Unlike Free as a Bird, Real Love was complete lyrically, so all the lyrics are John's. Once again, after extensive cleanup, the remaining three "finished" it, and the result was "Real Love," released in 1996. Both songs are also included on the Anthology CDs, "Bird" the first track on Anthology 1 and "Love" the first track on Anthology 2.
So technically, they are John Lennon solo songs that the surviving members of the Beatles finished almost twenty years later, and 15 years after his death. Also, if you do consider them part of the Beatles' discography, Real Love was the last song the Beatles released, not Free as a Bird.

I'm Only Sleeping
As for sitar song, Norwegian Wood, but that's probably because it's the first thing I learned to play on guitar.
By the way, does anyone have the Dr. Ebbetts releases of the albums? I have the Blue Box stereo mixes and the mono mixes and I highly prefer the mono mixes, especially of Revolver, Sgt. Pepper's and the White Album. Highly recommended - they're transfered with great care from high-quality copies of the original vinyl, and sound infinitely better than the official CDs. Most of them have been posted in FLAC format on Demonoid.
Speaking of Ebbetts, can someone perhaps point me to where I can find the UK Singles Collection Vol. 2? I'm trying to make my own personalized version of Past Masters, and I'm using all of Dr. Ebbetts' original transfers - UK Singles, UK EP Collection, Beatles VI, and Rarities, plus the official CDs for Free as a Bird and Real Love. The only one I still need is Ebbetts' UK Singles Collection Vol. 2, and I can't find it anywhere - no matter how many Ebbetts torrents people post on Demonoid, UK Singles is never part of them.

As for me, I think if one is well-informed, with non-pressuring friends in a comfortable environment, and not using anything that could potentially kill you or that is easily addicting, it's not particularly worse than alcohol, and I don't see why certain illegal narcotics are as strictly illegal as they are, marijuana being the major standout in that subject.
Hopefully I'm not accidentally violating any rules with this (haven't looked at the forum rules in a long time) and hopefully I don't offend anyone, but I'm curious - what do you think?

Fight Song: Death on Two Legs (Dedicated To ... ) - Queen
Life: How Do You Sleep? - John Lennon
Mental Breakdown: The Trial - Pink Floyd
Driving: Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy - Queen
Flashback: Two Suns in the Sunset - Pink Floyd
Getting back together: The Peking King and the New York Queen - The Doors*
Wedding: Cobwebs and Strange - The Who
Death of a loved one: Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds - The Beatles
Final Battle: 905 - The Who
Death Scene: Save Me - Queen
Funeral Song: Save the Last Dance for Me - The Beatles**
End Credits: Shakin' All Over/Spoonful/Twist and Shout (live) - The Who
*Post-Morrison Doors - from "Full Circle," their last album
**From the unreleased first mix of "Get Back", which later became "Let it Be"
I have complete discographies for The Beatles, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen, The Who, Tenacious D and Spinal Tap (those last two aren't hard, though), which is why all the results were pretty much exclusively from them.
And creepily , some of these are very appropriate - "Save Me" for the death scene, and "The Trial" for mental breakdown, for example.

I had only one major problem with this edit: The way the depowering scene was handled. I agree with keeping it pre-coital rather than post-coital, but there's no reason for Lois to be dressed in Superman's shirt and then, two minutes later, she's putting on a robe/gown/whatever. At first doesn't seem possible to work around. The only other fan-edit of Superman II I've seen is "The Booshman Cut." While the edit as a whole is, in my opinion, unfortunately sub-par, Booshman interwove the footage in such a way that Lois is always wearing the robe and it works perfectly, flawlessly, just like it was shot that way. I'm often bothered very badly by choppy edits in fan-edited movies (such as the bar scene in your Pearl Harbor, ADM) and Booshman's edit of that scene was perfect.
The only other problem I had - and this is minor - was that you left the toilet scene in the Fortress of Solitude in ("I found it! ... I think.") - unfortunately I don't see a way around it that doesn't make a choppy edit.
Having said all that, your edit was amazingly fantastic - since I just recently got a widescreen HDTV I wish the release could have been a dual-layer, as I've found that all my single-layer backups or edits don't exactly look great on the new TV.
Since 2/3 of my post seems to be naysaying, I'll mention a few of my favorite parts:
- The inclusion of the Arctic Police scene while seamlessly cutting the Smallville Smasher line
- The seamless cutting of the heat-vision when Lois falls
- The immensely superior pacing over the "Donner Cut"
- The extension of the East Houston scenes
- The cut from the Arctic Police scene to after the Fortress was "destroyed" - I forgot it was supposed to be gone until well into their talk
- Something no one else will notice but I loved: the inclusion of the Donner Cut credits AND the Lester Cut credits.
Among many other things, but those were the ones that stood out to me that I can think of right this moment.
Excellent job, ADM. 9.5/10 - I'm downloading Redeemed as we speak and am greatly looking forward to seeing it.

Day 6 on the other hand is shaping up quite nicely - I like that they're dissecting Jack's character a lot more than they have in the past, and I like the bold move of blowing up part of LA in the first 4 hours. We'll see where this leads, though, because Day 5 had me - cautiously - hooked after the first 10 minutes.

Why is it an issue?
Just cut the turning-back-time altogether. The Arctic Police take Lex and the Kryptonians away, he destroys the Fortress, he drops Lois off at her house, he goes and gets revenge on the bully, movie over. Why does Lois need to forget, especially if we're now treating these as a simple two-part epic rather than a series with further sequels?

And there's some clunky editing between Supes/Lois, Luthor, and the Kryptonians in the late beginning/early middle, I think, that should be addressed. But other than that, fantastic edit, lightyears better than the theatrical version. I could care less about III and IV. Make it a two-part epic.
And *maybe* put in the arctic police scene. Maybe.

Also among my tops are The Beatles' I'm Only Sleeping, Led Zeppelin's No Quarter, Rush's 2112, The Who's Baba O'Riley, and The Doors' Spanish Caravan.
But I'm more of an album person, not really individual songs. As such, my top albums (after 5, there are too many to list them in an order, but these are in order from the greatest album of all time on down):
1. Revolver - The Beatles
2. Tommy - The Who
3. The Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd
4. Who's Next - The Who
5. Led Zeppelin IV
