Finally playing Tomb Raider (the first of the reboot, from 2014 I think?) and really loving it so far. Just did the part where you climb the radio tower to send an SOS last night. I will say that the death animations are a little excessive, but it does help drive home the “survival” aspect.

Hoping the rest of the game is awesome enough to justify getting Rise of the Tomb Raider next. (Also, shouldn’t that be the title of the first game? This is Rise/Dawn of the Planet of the Apes all over again…)

Aw damn, I really liked having them all in one file. Any chance of also uploading a high bitrate combined file for each film (guessing it’d be in the 80GB range for each)?

And the problem is, for TTT and ROTK, the audio continues over the black screen that says INSERT DISC 2, so if you just join them at the cut to black without overlapping the audio from disc 1, you get a hard audio cut that’s jarring. This isn’t the case for FOTR, a simple join works fine for that one.

I’d really like to hear why you think it’s wrong to protest the National Anthem. So far all I see is you saying “It’s wrong because it’s wrong,” with no reasoning as to why it’s wrong.

*Please only try cocaine if you DO NOT have a way of obtaining it whenever you please. If you can buy a gram or an 8-ball every few weeks/months, that’s one thing, but if you have the means to buy it daily or even more than once weekly, don’t put yourself in the position where you need to have the willpower to avoid buying more at will. Best if you just aren’t able to.

Bourbon and ginger ale (or ginger beer) with lime is the best thing ever.

To be fair, just got home from a birthday party at a local bar where I had 5 such drinks, so I may be biased on that front.

Also I have the hiccups now so maybe that’s a mark against the bourbon and ginger ale/beer combo. YMMV.

Doesn’t really matter if the people being “sold” include people of other races. The imagery of a black person being auctioned off in and of itself is the problem. If the ad had been entirely white players, it wouldn’t have been an issue.

None of your other examples involve a human of a minority race with a history of being sold as slaves. Auctions themselves aren’t the issue.

I’ve got shitty internet provided by my apartment complex, so as much as I want to see this I can’t justify a 20GB download when I know I’m going to turn around and get the 35GB V2 with the finished lightsaber fixes. Any ETA on that perchance?

KK, if you’re doing an updated version of TTT and ROTK, do you want those fixed DTS files I mentioned? IMO it’s a huge improvement that makes the disc change points seamless. (I wish I remember who made and posted them to tehparadox so I could tell you who to credit…)

Is there a way to combine the trench run/Yavin battle with the Endor battle? That makes it easier to keep Tarkin alive, though you’d need to pepper him in throughout the events of ESB and the first 2/3 of ROTJ somehow.

I do have to agree on the PT scores vs. the TFA score. I love Rey’s theme, Jedi Steps, and Scherzo for X-wings, but other than that it’s pretty anemic. The PT, on the other hand, provided a ton of memorable themes (though AOTC was hamstrung by excessive editing late in the game and too much tracked music). Duel of the Fates, Anakin’s Theme, The Flag Parade, whatever music is playing when the Trade Federation ships land on Naboo, Qui-Gon’s funeral, Across the Stars, Battle of the Heroes, Immolation Scene, Anakin’s Dark Deeds, Grievous’ theme…

My hopes for TLJ’s score are honestly pretty tempered at this point.

Also, I liked RO’s score a lot more than most seem to have, though I admit to having a soft spot for Giacchino.

Like I said, probably personal reasons relating to his employment with LFL.

I think I’ve seen (through his tweets) that he’s salty about some last-minute changes Abrams made to TFA without consulting the story group (I remember him specifically talking about the opening crawl being changed at the eleventh hour). And I know he’s got a huge problem with Starkiller Base.

Exact same here yet I still am a solid 10 pounds underweight.

I wouldn’t say I’m underweight but my weight is normal. I would say a solid third, at least, of my calories come from alcohol which you’d think would make me fat but I also smoke pot and I’ve read that pot makes you thinner, and my own personal observations and experiences point to that being true.

Someone else brought up the “pot makes you thinner” thing to me the other day (while we were smoking a bowl, of course). Apparently it increases your metablolism or something - you just gotta watch out for them munchies.

It’d be nice if I were told about things that have a direct effect on me at work when they’re known about in advance rather than having it sprung on me with no warning as it happens. Goddammit.
