Maybe it’s just because of the excessive size of the TARDIS team (2 companions should be the max), I dunno. But they are all complete vacuums of charisma IMO.
On a side note, your 97 ROTJ Audio, gout sync (for 4k83) still has yub nub rather than victory celebration, and wasn’t sure if this was intentional (like I said, utter newby to any video alterations, so I have probably misunderstood what the audio file actually is).
Isn’t the point of the GOUT synced 97 audio to make a “true” 5.1 audio track for the original version? The original version had Yub Nub, so…
PSA: You can work with the actual H264 video stream from a Blu-Ray directly in Premiere as long as it’s demuxed into a *.264 file and your video timeline is set with a 1080p AVCHD preset. You’ll also need to convert the audio into either AC3 or WAV/AIFF.
I remember thinking in the theater that it literally looked cut and pasted from the Endor balcony scene, either when Luke tells Leia about Vader, or when Han asks her what’s wrong.
I’ve never been able to burn a successful Blu from one of Hal’s edits, for what it’s worth. It’s been a while since I bothered burning discs, though, so there may be more recent tricks that could work.
SSD’s are, in fact, a game changer. Finally put one in my laptop back in November when Black Friday sales dropped a decent-quality 2TB SanDisk to below $200.
Can’t wait until the prices are closer to parity with HDD’s on a per-GB basis so I can replace my large-capacity media library drives, too.

I’m just annoyed that we don’t get actual new content for another 4 weeks. It’s nice to see this stuff finished, sure, but still sucks that only 2/3 of the new season is new material.

I have also used MakeMKV to extract Adywan’s ANH DVD9 from his iso, and will happily put that on my Google drive for others to download if interested.
Something like this already exists - specifically, someone took the higher resolution PAL DVD9 video track (720x576), changed the framerate flag to 23.976fps, and muxed in the NTSC DVD9 Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track into an MKV.
It’s the best video quality available (highest resolution) combined with the best audio quality available (no PAL speedup) without any reencoding done to either track. I know it’s uploaded on MySpleen and has been shared elsewhere as well.

Yeah, I don’t know how “in-continuity” any of the Jay and Silent Bob movies are - I think Jason Lee plays both his Mallrats character AND his Chasing Amy character in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, but not his Dogma character, though Jay and Silent Bob Reboot is a direct sequel to Strike Back and directly references the events of Dogma, but Ben Affleck plays his Chasing Amy character in Reboot and not his Mallrats or Dogma characters…
I’m not sure shoehorning in offscreen Carrie dialogue would be helpful, but might be worth taking a look at. I’ve never seen Clerks but wasn’t it made 1991ish?

Before they went down there was a post on the main page saying they were A) thinking about maybe possibly migrating the entire site eventually someday, and that B) they were running low on funds for keeping the site running for the first time in a while. Not sure if either of those things are a factor in whatever is going on at the moment.

I still haven’t properly read the draft, though I did sneakily print it out at work so I don’t have to read it on my phone or laptop (perks of being the only one in the lab on night shift with access to a laser printer), so I’m gonna try to dive into it today.
But I challenge everyone who’s read this draft to go back and read the rough/first or second drafts of Star Wars and think about how much changed between then and filming and remind yourself that that’s what this DOTF draft is, not what would have been filmed had Trevorrow not been replaced.

When they restored the Jabba scene in 1997, though, they forgot to revert the Greedo scene back to its originally-filmed state.
The Greedo scene is not a re-shoot but it was obviously caught that the Jabba scene was not working so the Jabba scene it would seem was discarded way before Tosche station and Biggs and so on all the other stuff.
There is no mention of the Jabba scene being in the Lost Cut.

Notice Greedo never says “Jabba has no time for smugglers who drop their shipments” yadda yadda (Jabba dialogue), and no “Even I get boarded sometimes, do you think I had a choice?” from Han, which is the line lifted directly from the Jabba scene (it’s the exact same take used in both scenes in the 1997/2004/2011/2019 versions).
As scripted and filmed, the Greedo and Jabba scene were both meant to be in the film. When they cut the one, they modified the other to make sure no information was lost.
