I feel that I was more mature as a thirteen/fourteen year old than I am now. I look back on stuff that I said then and just think I needed to loosen up.

Speaking as someone who knows next to nothing about Marvel comics other than what I’ve seen over the years in other media (the early 90’s X-men cartoon was a Saturday morning staple for me as a kid) and picked up from friends of mine who actually do know the source material quite well, to me there’s a big element of “who cares?” when it comes to whether or not x-men and F4 ever cross over with the MCU. I’ve even heard it argued by actual fans that the “mutantverse” should basically be its own thing anyway.
Obviously it’s a little different with F4, whose absence in the MCU has been sorely felt by the hardcore fans as far as I can tell. MovieBob has a pretty good video on youtube about how he’d handle their introduction into the MCU. His solution? Make their origin story a time-travel story that flings them from the 1960’s into their future / our present.
Anyway, stuff like that could end up happening anyway without one company needing to buy out the other. The rights to Daredevil eventually went back to Marvel from Fox, didn’t it?
Marvel (and the fans) wants FF for its villains, particularly Silver Surfer and Galactus. They offered to let Fox keep Daredevil in exchange for just Silver Surfer and Galactus.
Fox said no, Marvel got DD back, and we got Fan4stic.
Personally, I don’t care about the Four themselves, but I do really want Galactus, Silver Surfer, Dr. Doom, and Annihilus to be part of the MCU.
I’d be fine with the droid being pulled apart as long as the SFX are made to be less, as you say, “baby-like.”

It’s a JRPG, so this isn’t terribly surprising.
There have been several such changes that have already made it in, I don’t see how this is anything but an improvement.
The inclusion of the deleted scene is probably the most obvious example, though I’d argue that if the theatrical relase had been structured this way (Hosnian destruction and Han’s death at the same time), that scene would never have been cut and would be where it’s been placed in the edit, so in a way it is within the scope of the edit. Even though it also isn’t.
I can’t recall if the opening theme music was going to be replaced in this edit or not (I know other editors have and will replace it in their own edits). I know most people have planned to use the prequel version of the opening theme, but back when TFA came out on DVD, Adywan posted an edited version of the TFA theme that made it sound more like the London Symphony Orchestra’s versions that he planned to use for his own personal edit. Don’t know how to describe it, more “grandiose”? Anyway, I can’t remember when exactly he posted it but I went ahead and reuploaded the version he shared if anyone wanted to use it for their own or we wanted to consider using it for this version, since it is just an enhanced version of TFA’s own theme rather than using a different movie’s theme.

Oh yes, the theme definitely needs to be replaced. The version as is sounds so anemic. It depressed me so much in the theater.

I will agree that there is one big difference between a male being harassed and a female being harassed. Most men are bigger and stronger than women, that is just the biology works.
