what is the real blue color of the lightsabers cyan or dark blue?
Time

They should make them all the same color throughout all the films. I prefer the color that Anakin has in Episode 2 and 3, as well as Luke’s in Episode 5, and Rey’s in Episode 7 and 8.

Those pretty much match each other, with only a slight difference. It’s the cyan color in Episode 4 that is waaaaaaay off the other films. You only have to fix one film, not 7.

Ok, I don’t know how to show the image on here, but I did represent the colors of the Anakin, Luke, Rey lightsaber colors. The second image is an almost color corrected lightsaber color that should be used throughout the saga. They only need to redo the rotoscope for A New Hope and there will be no more inconsistencies.

Anakin ghost old vs young
Time

What will make all you Star Wars purist mad is when they replace Sebastian Shaw’s performance with Hayden’s as Vader/Anakin in the unmasking scene, just so everything matches and makes more sense.

This won’t be until 2027 during the 50th Anniversary of the first film.

Disney will probably make more changes once the rights revert back to them in 2020. This way, they can profit off another additional “50th Anniversary Special Edition.”

Episode VIII : The Last Jedi - Discussion * SPOILER THREAD *
Time

@Lord Haseo, I don’t know if Disney will do something like that, I mean, you have kids watching this. I don’t think they will allow Chewbacca to deliberately kill Kylo Ren for killing Han Solo. As much as I know he really wants too, I don’t see them doing it. I do see Chewie maybe growling at him and pushing him back into a corner and maybe he loses his balance and falls into a deep hole/crevasse/abyss never to be seen again.

That’s the Disney way, not seeking revenge and actually getting to do it. The good guys will look just as bad as the bad guys. You want it to look like an accident, not bloodthirsty revenge. This way, Chewie doesn’t look like a monster. If he’s protecting somebody, then he has to do what he has to do, I guess.

You didn’t see Luke just start chopping up Darth Vader, because he killed Ben Kenobi. He wounded him, and threw down his lightsaber. I don’t know, I just don’t see them doing something like that, but who knows.

Blu-Ray and other HD box size STAR WARS covers
Time

I almost finished the sequel trilogy blu ray set to match these.

I’m only waiting for the teaser in April to hit, so I can use a screen shot from that to add to the design. I’m missing a couple of pictures and of course the name of Episode IX, but everything else is there, also, don’t know like the run times for the other 2 films, but I can change it once they are all released.

I will probably add it to here in mid April. I wish I knew for sure the name of Episode IX, because it would be awesome, to finish it completely. I hope you all like what I did, I think it came out great.

How did you first see the Star Wars films?
Time

I don’t recall when I saw A New Hope or Empire Strike Back, as I was too young to remember, but I remember going to see Revenge of the Jedi, as I saw the trailers on TV for it. So, in 1983, I was 12 yrs. old. I went to the theater in Yuma, AZ, where they filmed the Jabba’s sail barge/ Sarlaac Pit just outside of town in the sand dunes.

I finally got my ticket for Return of the Jedi, so while I’m sitting there about to watch the movie, they were having trivia contests, asking people about certain things in the first 2 films, and if you got it right, you got special toys and gifts from Lucasfilm. I was never called, but people in the front were. I did get to see some of the toys after the movie, as people walked out looking at them, and a nice little entourage following them, me being one of them.

So, while I was watching the film, it came to the unmasking of Vader, I was so scared to watch, as I peeked through my fingers, as I covered my eyes with my hands. I saw Luke lift Vader’s helmet and when I saw him, I dropped my hands, as I wasn’t scared anymore. It’s a memory I remember vividly, I will never forget going to see it. I loved the special effects in the movie, they were incredible, and I had never seen anything like that before, like the speeder chase, it was unbelievable.

Since I lived there in Yuma, AZ. I collected a really cool newspaper pull out in 1982, while they were filming out in the desert. It says on the front page Revenge of the Jedi, and it’s really old, but I have it to this day. In the newspaper, it has some pictures of Jabba’s sail barge and the actors behind the scenes. The newspaper journalist asking George Lucas questions about the sequels and prequels, and stuff like that. It also has advertisements for Atari games and McDonalds. The funny thing about those, is that the prices are super low. It’s a really interesting read, but, this is my memory of going to see Return of the Jedi.

I might put some images up this weekend, so you all can see it. I have to go for now, be back later.

Han - Solo Movie ** Spoilers **
Time

Who thinks Boba Fett, Jabba the Hutt and Vader will appear in this?

I think the real reason that Han Solo has such an attachment with the Falcon, is because he lost friends near to him on that ship.

I hope the Falcon looks a little different, as he made a lot of modifications to that ship. I pray they get that right. I see the cockpit inside looks different, that’s good.

I also hope that from day one, the Falcon still has hyperdrive issues and just shuts down all the time. I can see Woody asking Han, “You still haven’t fixed that thing?”

Most pointless Special Edition change?
Time

psychic squidward said:

I say it was the removal of the wolf guy, the SE color saturations, and CGI jabba. Jabba is here because we were supposed to build up suspense to see what jabba looked like in ROTJ but the surprise had to be ruined, right george?

build up suspense? Since 1983, everybody has seen Jabba and knows what he looks like. If you’re talking about new audiences that haven’t seen Star Wars ever, then yes, he ruined the surprise. I liked the scene, due to the fact, it showed that Han Solo was in dire need of money, and this charter was going to set him straight with Jabba. When things went south and Luke mentioned the princess had money and the reward would be more well than you can imagine, he took the chance, because he knew he would never be able to go anywhere without somebody recognizing him and collecting the bounty he had on his head.

That deleted scene incorporated back into the film, was important for us viewers old and new to know he had to do what he had to do for the money, regardless if that wasn’t really who he was. We knew Jabba would put a price on his head, if he didn’t deliver the money. Solo was asking for a little time, that’s what he got.

He didn’t take the money to Jabba after the awards ceremony is because the Empire was looking for the Falcon and everyone knew Captain Solo was the pilot, so the Empire already had a bounty out for him during the Battle of Yavin, and Jabba would have just captured him after he delivered his money to the gangster, and he would have turned him in to the Empire and collected another large sum of money.

As far as a SE pointless change. I always hated the, “Alert my Star Destroyer to prepare for my arrival.” It wasn’t needed and took us away from the Falcon as it was trying to escape Bespin. I wanted to see the original, in fact, I wanted to see the extended Lando and Luke scene atop the Falcon. Mark Hamill broke his thumb I think, or something like that.

This is the scene I’m referring too

Idea & Info: Star Wars Deleted Scenes - Reincorporated?
Time

I would like to be a part of this team to clean up anything related to the deleted scenes. I would love to see these scenes reincorporated into the film. Yes, it slows down the pacing of the film, and most of them are unnecessary, but, in a way, they are part of that universe. Just look at Biggs with his cape. I seem to remember a certain Director wearing one in another Star Wars film recently released.

I had the privilege of meeting Garrick Hagon, I took a picture with him and got his autograph, he’s a really nice guy, and I asked him questions about those deleted scenes. He basically said the same things, like he did in that one documentary. I have a photo with him, if anyone doesn’t believe me. I also met Anthony Forrest, aka Fixer, he had some stories too. I got a picture with him as well.

I can’t wait to see what deleted scenes there are for Rogue One, of course, we won’t see all of them, that’s for sure.

6 film trilogy "Faces" Covers
Time

I would not show the second eye, as that is what the originals look like.

I like the covers, but for

TPM, definitely keep Darth Maul, but I would use a Naboo starfighter or maybe the queen’s ship. (EDIT) now that I think about it, maybe use Darth Maul’s ship. One of the three is fine.

AOTC, I would keep Fett, but I would use the battle of Geonosis to match the Hoth battle on TESB.

ROTS, I would use the Emperor or maybe even Anakin for the face, and I would keep the lightsaber fight between Anakin and Obi-wan, just like the ROTJ original with Vader and Luke.

This way, the themes match.

HI-Res Poster Art
Time

Thanks Willrow-Hood, I just noticed one mistake on the RotS poster, Mon Mothma is quite happy for a film that is supposed to be sad, I need to change that. I want to work with the color palette on that poster as well, maybe even swap out the duel with a better picture of the duel with better colors.

I’m like George, I’m never happy with my work and try and improve on it constantly. I have a family and work, so it makes it very hard to put just a few minutes a day on it.

Edit: I forgot to add the droids. I’m going to put Grievous on the Attack of the Clones poster, then shift a few characters around on the ROTS poster and maybe see if I can add the Emperor as well.
