Hi everyone!
Incidentaly, I just finished designing the TFA and RO covers matching my despecialized OT ones, and also begun assembling covers for I, II, III.
I pondered for some time whether using unofficial title logos for TPM, AOTC and ROTS, but I eventually chose to keep true to the official logos (with the big Episode line), as it was the case for my OT.
I’ll be uploading this new set (Prelogy, Trilogy, TFA and RO) in a few days, with as much as possible of my EPS logo assets, so it can be of use to anyone designing their own set.

I hate the “Blu-Ray + DVD + Digital HD” text on top of TFA and RO box art, I know what’s in it you don’t have to remind me that it’s a Blu-ray, that’s why there’s the Blu-ray logo on top of the box…

I prefer just the image, that alone tells us what the movie is, there is no need to say what the name of the film is. If Spider-man is on the front, Ummm, could it be Spider-man?..duh. I mean some are very obvious, like Indiana Jones, Star Wars, or any Marvel character or group of characters.

I’m currently working on something that I got from that site. It was released at Celebration 2015 in Anaheim. They are the book covers that are supposed to be really old with the art by Russell Walks of Luke and Leia on A New Hope. Leia and Han on The Empire Strikes Back cover. Luke and Leia on the Return of the Jedi. I cleaned up the images removing folds and the old look that it had. I’ve already finished the first one, A New Hope, and once I finish the other two, I will release it.
You ever think of using the audio from other movies or behind the scenes clips of the documentaries in order to complete the audio.
Some of it is repeated when Luke splits off from the Falcon, heading toward Dagobah.
The other audio can be extracted from other sources.
I wish they had finished the audio in the studio.
Could it be that Malla was the Wookiee who found Han Solo and perhaps help raised him. Remember, Wookiees are very, very old. It would be touching to see Han Solo say goodbye to his foster mother, whom is also Chewbacca’s wife.
Han probably saves not only Chewie, but his foster mother Malla, as well as others.

@Adywan, You should sell the Wampa to somebody who wants to maybe continue your work. Perhaps they can fix it someday, create a new edit and give you credit for the costume. I understand how frustrated you are right now. You want to move on to RotJ:R, but you should consider selling it to someone who has the same determination and love for these movies, as you have.
If Star Wars fans want something different, how about Kylo Ren is killed, but through the dark side, Snoke resurrects Kylo, or Snoke enters Kylo’s body and makes him very, very powerful. There needs to be something we have NEVER SEEN BEFORE in a Star Wars movie, not a rehash of Return of the Jedi.
I was thinking of Tron (Disney) the other day, remember when Master Control Program(MCP) gave him life and power after Sark failed to stop Tron. I can see Snoke giving his pupil unlimited power to stop Rey and Luke, resulting in an epic fight, that leaves Luke dead, but Rey to mentor the next generation of grey Jedi.
adywan, if you don’t delay the release six months in order to reshoot the entire scene, I’m not going to watch this.
I want to see the first assembly cut of that sequence… I don’t think Ady can help with that would be impossible unless he has managed to break into the Lucusfilm Vaults armed with a crowbar and a flash drive?
I read about Mark Hamil had an injury whilst filming this bit… (not car accident) and it halted filming. Could have been scrapped because of this… The Antenna Breaking that is? It’s a mystery…
And it is the last mystery that I do not have an answer for… But I have 70% the music cue I got stuck in the middle and don’t know the answer.
ignore the middle part it’s not conclusive but the start is right and the end is right I think apart from I needed to add an extra second or so of Leia using the medical tool thing. Not sure about extra frames in the Gout something else to consider. Basically like I said i don’t have the whole picture.
After thinking a bit about the middle bit and to have a guess. I would say that Luke drops earlier Lando reaches the the top hatch looks about Luke is gone (antenna broke or jumps early and that seems logical) Then we cut to a shot of Tie fighters closing in on cloud city? Then perhaps Lando pulling Luke across the top of the Falcon. But it’s all conjecture and I really don’t have the foggiest on it.
Sans minature Lando and close Cockpit POV of Luke I’ll call them inserts. Basically yeah it’s all guess work.
Regarding that scene with Luke landing on top of the Falcon. Mark Hamill sprained a thumb or finger, I can’t remember which, but they filmed what they had, but wanted to do pick ups, but Kershner and Lucas just shortened the scene, due to the pace of the film.
I think if you’re going to have Padme give birth, it should be Luke she gives birth only in ROTS, then edit it to where we see Yoda, Bail and Obi-wan sitting down talking, but have them mention just the boy.
If you wanted too, you could do a flashback to Padme giving birth to Leia, when Luke finds out from Obi-wan that Leia is his sister, with a voice over by Sir Alec Guinness.
[Showing Leia being born] "The other, Yoda spoke of, is your twin sister…to protect you both from the Emperor…you were hidden… [showing Bail Organa with his wife on Alderaan.] “That’s why your sister remains safely anonymous.”
I also wouldn’t show her death in ROTS, I would have left her in a coma and sent her to Alderaan with Bail Organa and Leia. She could be like sleeping beauty in a chamber and her daughter could see her, but that’s it.
I would like to see somebody do this in a edit for Return of the Jedi, or at least just that scene.
I think Tarkin looked better than Leia. She was just a little off when it came to some of her facial movements, that’s because it wasn’t really her. When she smiled, you could tell something was off. They did a great job though. I know it’s really hard work, lots of hours and days went into getting it to that point.
As far as the topic, no, you shouldn’t add game footage to any films. It doesn’t look right in my opinion.
I thought so at first, but then, I saw what he was wearing and knew Biggs wears a cape. He wears more nicer clothes, as you can see in the deleted scenes.
There’s so many possibilities for more stories in this universe.

For Rogue 2, when it got to the Luke and Biggs in Anchorhead, I would follow Biggs Darklighter to Bestine, where he meets his contact there, from there, he jumps ship, so to speak, and gets on board with the crew that takes him to Yavin IV. You would have to recast Biggs, but it would be an interesting take, as Luke goes his way, the camera follows Biggs instead starting with Anchorhead and him finally reaching Yavin IV and running into Luke in the hanger. The movie could end with him flying low to the ground as he sees the ship he arrived in, and one of the crew members, as they wave goodbye as he banks his ship toward the Death Star.
That would be my ideal R2 or Rogue 2, Rogue too 😃
I would look at the puppet and try and get as close to that as possible, like matting the fur down and making it look frozen (hairspray maybe) in some areas.
It is just a movie, maybe we all are taking this a little too serious, I think he did an outstanding job with everything he’s done so far.
It would be cool to see somebody complete a suit for a 8 foot man with 12 inch heel shoes, that would make him 9 feet tall. Get a few fans with some Hoth Rebel clothing and gear, and grab a camera and shoot something with the Wampa chasing them. All you do is add the special effects, some NEW shots of C-3PO and R2-D2, all you need are their costumes, as well as snowtroopers, stormtroopers and Vader.
Then, you can create something that was realized, but ultimately discarded due to it looking too fake, budget restraints and poor animation technology. You have the head of the Wampa now. Somebody make a fan film. I would do it myself, but, as we all know, it costs money, lots of money. I do know how I would shoot the film, and I would make the Wampa scary as hell too.
I’m sorry, but I would love to see a new scene with the Wampa. I know it will never happen, but, I get excited about this kind of thing. I know it can be done. This would be awesome to see.

You know, I’m sure Mark Hamill had his vision of what Episode VII was, and it wasn’t even close to what he probably wanted. The same goes for George Lucas, a totally different version than what we got on the screen. You ask anybody, and we all had different versions play out in our heads, that didn’t even come close to what we thought it would be like. You can’t make everyone happy, it’s impossible. I think Mark was just pointing this out to everyone, and it’s true what he said.

What if Lucasfilm decides to do the Ben Kenobi film, and in the film he meets up with Vader, which is how he now knows “He is more machine now, than man…twisted and evil.” How did he know what he looked like or what he was made of? Was it his presence? Did he hear rumors of Vader and assumed it was Anakin?
He has to meet him in the new film, and he has to mention to Vader that he has his lightsaber, which Vader could say, “I want my son to have it.” that could fix one continuity error. But, then there’s another error. Vader says, “When I left you, I was but a learner, now I am the master.” so I guess that wouldn’t work would it.
I love the Original films, I grew up with them, so I know your pain. However, I did like certain things that were fixed by George, NOT ALL of them, just a few things. He did go overboard, if you will, I do agree with that. If there could be a way or a person to go in and take certain things out, return the Han shot first, removed the “Nooooo!!!” and kept some other things in there, removed the bad stuff, I would be very happy. I wish there was a way to pick and choose while watching it.
