**SPOILERS FOR THE EYE OF JUPITER**

It will be interesting to see the dynamic between Lucy Lawless/Baltar vs Number 6 "Caprica" in the coming episodes. Will she still be inside his head? Or will she leave him?

Also, the results of Sharon's discovery about Hera still being alive will be fun to watch. Will she ram face-first into a glass wall again? That was a riot.

Incidentally, Number 6 "Caprica" will be appearing in Playboy next month...for those who only read the articles.

Awesome episode!!! Finally watched it last night. Is it me or is Starbuck the most unlikeable character on this show? She was great in the first season, but she's just become so foul a person in this season.

I wonder where the Hera thing will go. I always thought that keeping Boomer (Athena) on board would cause problems one day.

Such a cliffhanger too!!! Not too hot about the show moving to Sunday nights though, but that's not a big deal!!!

And YES, I will be checking out PB next month!!! Gotta see Caprica 6 in all her glory. Hard to believe she's married to John Crichton from Farscape!!! Lucky bastard!!! Got to make out with Claudia Black and then go home to that!!! ARGH!!! There is no justice!!!

Yeah? And?

I was open minded enough to give the PT more than a few chances. I saw each multiple times in the theater and then again on DVD. They had more than enough chance to connect with me. They don't. And I'm not the only one this has happened to, so it's not me, it's the movies. I don't see why my or any other person's opinion seems to matter so much to you, Gomer. You argue incessantly that it's us, not the movies and we say that ain't so.

You just can't wrap your head around the concept that some people think these movies aren't good. Of course, you could be just screwing with us too...

Gomer....you left home without your helmut today, right?

You're asking us to accept lazy storytelling and CGI diarrhea? Sorry, dude...you have low standards and you want us to come down to that level. Ain't gonna happen......but maybe you're just easily entertained and you like drivel like this. Either way, whatever you're peddling, no one seems to be buying it here.

You guys are just so resistant to change that you refuse to understand what Lucas did in the end.

This is something Gomer posted before I jumped back into the fray here and I'd like to comment on it.

First off, I think it's complete nonsensical bullshit. I've been saying since the SE days that changes to the OT would be a good thing. I always talked about SFX changes though. I would like to see every single OT SFX shot redone and updated. No changes to the story, the dialogue, the music, nothing.....just the FX (for a perfect example, see the Director's Cut of Star Trek: The Motion Picture). Why? Cuz yeah, they are dated for one, but the important reason is that when the PT would get made, the FX in there wouldn't "fit" in with the OT FX at all. So I think updating the OT FX to match the PT FX is understandable and justifiable. In fact, I still would like to see that, but ONLY IF the OOT is remastered and given the royal treatment it deserves and then released so that it's preserved for all time. So some change is warranted, but no fucking Greedo shooting first and shit looking Jabbas walking around. Screw that.

That crap about us being resistant to change amounts to shit.

Oh, REALLY? So should I accept a film like, oh, let's pick a random example here...Alien 3. Should I accept that film just because David Fincher's "vision" was compromised by company suits? Or maybe I should accept it because it was directed by the same guy who did Seven and Fight Club? It doesn't change the fact that much of the film is a bunch of bald British guys running around in tunnels from a crawling CGI monster. Or the fact that it's a complete letdown, both in story and tone, from it's predecessor. That said, are you implying that I should just "accept" Lucas' brand of revisionist history bullshit?

Bollocks, I say. My reality determines that YOUR reality sucks ass.

I agree. Alien 3 blew chunks, but when you bring in new directors, you can't always expect that they will adhere to what came before them. Kudos to James Cameron for making Aliens an excellent sequel, but Fincher definitely blew it with Alien 3. It's unacceptable, but somewhat understandable. SW, on the other hand is ALL from the same guy who claims to have a vision. What I think he has is a vision that he makes up as he goes with no foresight. It's too sloppy to be thought out.....and making it up as he goes is just poor storytelling. Tolkien didn't make it up as he went, he had a clear idea of where he was going, plus he got the whole thing straight before he let it out of the bag.

You could save yourself a lot of time by just accepting that not everyone likes the direction SW has gone in as you do and that they refuse to overlook obvious deficiencies just cuz it's "all we're gonna get."

All this running around being let down by the newest editions to the saga isn't gonna get you better ones.

True, but don't expect us to lie over and accept the shit sandwich that was handed to us.

Try applying a decent attitude sometime. You may just suprirse yourself.

Lucas making a decent SW movie would be a better surprise.

No, it's really up to you to care. Lucas can't make you. If he could do that then everyone would love Star Wars.

Yes, he can't make me, but he has to want me and the audience to care. Otherwise, why does he even make movies? He just didn't do a good job of wanting me to care. Otherwise, he would have made the Jedi more endearing instead of making them come off as stuck up elitists whose abilities are determined by little organisms and were so stupid and gullible that they couldn't see what was happening right under their noses. I'm supposed to care about people like that? Fuck 'em, let 'em die. Was I really supposed to think that? Cuz that's what I thought....and the Jedi are good guys too. I NEVER heard of anyone not caring that the good guys died.

...and there was no way he could make everyone love Star Wars no matter what. That's a silly and unrealistic observation that's shouldn't even be made.

Obviously, if you don't care about Star Wars, then there's really nothing the movies or Lucas can do for you.

If I didn't care, then why did I pay mulitple times to see each prequel? I cared enough to give the movies multiple chances and they didn't do it for me...so that means there's something wrong with me, right? And there's something wrong with all the who people who didn't care for them either, right? Please!!! You don't think there might be even the slightest chance that Lucas dropped the ball here? That he made a poor film? It is possible, you know....

You have to enjoy great movies like these or you won't.

I enjoy great movies....these movies were NOT great.

Nothing better than tea, toast and 3POs.

You really dug them?

I really dug the Batman cereal that came out about 1989 or 1990. I wish I could get a box of those again!!!

Maybe eBay would help...although I don't know about buying any kind of food from there.....

Um...it is his job to make his audience care. Why would you make a film and not want your audience to care about it in some way? I'm not the only one who thinks this about the Jedi apparently....so that raises some questions about whether Lucas was actually doing his job.

I'm saying that was your job, and you weren't very good at it.

The movie has to be good in the first place for me to do a good job at all.....

Do I sense some hostility from you, Gomer?

I know I've said before that I don't like discussing the prequels, but I can't help it...they're like a train wreck and you can't take your eyes off it.

The Jedi in the PT are just like the rebels in the OT. They're the good guys. You're supposed to like them and be rooting for them no matter what happens. I wasn't rooting for the Jedi cuz they weren't really all that likeable. Mace was an asshole, pretty much from the beginning. They all came off as high-fallutin', self-righteous jerkoffs who thought they were the shit.....that's not really how you would preceive the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy to be. The rebels were likeable. There was the pilots in the Death Star attack and Rogue Squadron, General Madine and Mon Mothma...even General Reiken made more of an impression than any of the Jedi.

Take all their dialogue and put it against the Jedi's dialogue in the prequels and see how it measures up. The Jedi dialogue is throwaway dialogue...nothing really noteworthy. Hard for me to care if they aren't endearing at all.

Yeah....I actually thought the Jedi would be cool in the prequels. I honestly didn't give a damn that they got slaughtered. Did anyone else feel like this? Was that really the way we were supposed to feel?

Awwwwwwww......are we still a little hurt about that thread? B-O-O H-O-O....

Clean the sand out of your pussy and stop whining.

I disagree with your stance and I backed away by saying that we should just agree to disagree. You could have just let it go, but instead you tried to perpetuate the argument by drawing me back in. Not falling for it....

Bringing up that other thread though just makes you look like a whiny fucking maggot bitch. And I don't have time for that kind of thin-skinned bullshit......remember I asked for that thread to be closed...you fucking sissy.

Shut the fuck up and go suck on your mommy's tit some more. Through here.
