There have been some confirmed chatter about a DVD set this year. It was on the Digital Bits a while back when the LEs came out. I know that's not exactly 100% accurate, but most of what comes out of there is fairly reliable information.

Besides....it's just seems natural that they would release a set of all the movies together. They haven't done that yet.

You know about as much as the rest of us do. This is the 30th anniversary of the original Star Wars, so expect some kind of DVD release of all 6 films. Supposedly there will be changes to TPM (digital Yoda) and there will be more changes to the OT. Beyond that, no one knows all that much.

An announcement should be coming in the next few months or at Celebration 4. I predict the DVD set will be out either in May or sometime near Christmas.

The Muslims look at all non-Muslims as infidels who should be destroyed/cleansed/whatever. Combine that kind of mentality with strong hate and you've got a recipe for some bad stuff going down.

I think more than anything that this is a war of past and future. America and its allies represent the future of the human race on planet Earth. The Muslims have a very backward way of thinking. They come off as slaves to their religion, they have a poor outlook on outsiders, they treat their women horribly....these are all things that most societies have grown out of over time. The Muslims have not.

The Muslims have to come into the future. You know what the old saying is....if you say the hell with the future, then the future says the hell with you. The Muslims are doing exactly that.....thumbing their noses at the future. Well, the future is going to fuck them good unless they clean their heads out and beam into the 21st century with the rest of us.

So your gripe about personal attacks is unsubstantiated here....I think it would be better if you simply debated and ignored any so called "personal attacks" made at you. If they bother you that much, inform a mod and they will decide if punishment is warranted. If you continue to take this thread off topic by turning it into a complaint about "personal attacks", then you are clearly spamming, to which I will inform a mod to look into the matter. You've done similar things in this forum before and we don't have to stand for it.

Stopping it entails that all parties agree to stop the killing. That doesn't seem likely to occur. It's a giant conundrum when you really look at it, so what are you to do? I'll use Darwinism as a defense. The strong survive and those who can't adapt to the widespread changes die off or are swept under the rug. Dislike it all you want, but that's the way it is.

SW is tainted today. If you say you're a SW fan, okay.....but if you say it to another SW fan, then it almost immediately becomes a PT or SE debate. Remember a time when we could just marvel at how AWESOME the whole thing was. Can't do that anymore. It's become so pathetic.

SW used to bring me so much joy it wasn't funny. No, it wasn't the only thing in my life, but it was something to escape into for a while and lose yourself in. Now you watch it and it's either the stupid crap in the SE that reminds you of the bad PT or you watch the crappy versions of the OOT. If you watch the PT, then you have to contend with all the nonsense that is in there. I wish Lucas had NEVER made anything now...no SEs, no PT, nothing. He's taken a perfectly good idea and fucking ruined it. I wonder if he did it all on purpose too, but that's a thread for another time.

This is a sad state of affairs, isn't it? Who would have thought it would come to this? 10 years ago, if you told me that SW would end up like this, I would have called you nuts. Sometimes I look at it all and I can't fucking believe my eyes and ears....SW is just not good anymore. This is why I'm doing my own preservation using some of the existing preservations out there. I'm gonna do nice retro artwork and there won't be a mention of the SEs or PT on them. I'll put them up on my shelf and forget this whole fucking sordid affair. I will permanently check out of SW fandom forever. I'm through.

I would like to interject that human beings are like locusts. They consume until there isn't anything left and then they move on to the next thing. This happens all across the board where humans are concerned.

So with that in mind, I say let's use up the Earth and throw it away. When we find ourselves completely fucked cuz we screwed our planet and can't escape it yet, then MAYBE humanity will learns its lesson and treat our planet accordingly. Sadly, it will be too late. Humans on learn to behave when they're slapped good upside the head. We need a good natural disaster to wipe out a few billion people and wake us the fuck up about our responsiblities.

Rant over. Not really on the subject, but I felt it was an opinion worth sharing.
