What do you mean? She's waited 2 months for this!
Fixed.
I waited two months for this... and it is amazing. I can't wait until her album comes out!
Actually, I haven't listened to this song, nor do I care to.

Wait a minute. The set is only $450. I'm sold.
Not to mention your old system is going to RROD (wrap a towel around it) any moment now (like say, a couple of days after this unit goes up for sale?), and once that tragedy strikes, there is no way your wife can say no to the purchasing of a new system, especially one with the added value of a Kinect and that silly Star Wars game (AND Artoo beeping!).
Wow, looks like someone has watched the movies maybe once or so. ;)
Tim will never cuddle with his R2-D2 plushie in quite the same way again...
But this topic made me realize, while the PT is full of droids that are clearly intended to be female, in the OT you see no such thing. Which made me realize that in the OT droids have a much more practical design to them in general, and look like machines that were made with the purpose to get their job done.
In the PT you have all sorts of ridiculously fancy droids with dumb superficial designs like mohawks or the waitressbot at the diner.
When I was a kid I liked to look at the various droids in Star Wars and imagine what parts they might have inside to make them work. If it had been the PT I had seen as a kid instead of the OT, I don't think my young mind would have spent any time considering that sort of thing, anymore than I spent time wondering what must have been inside Bugs Bunny to make him work.
It would be, and for a few moments I actually seriously considered making it my sig; but it requires a great deal of context to understand, and has a high potential for creating confusion.

If I listen to any of her songs even once, it would be like shooting a malignant tumour full of steroids.
Small point of order, but certain steroids, notably Prednisone, are useful in cancer treatment for their ability to shrink tumors.
This is why I love TheBoost.

They should have remade the greatness that is Tomorrow Never Dies.
Seriously?

1st thought: silly.
Now: why an xbox and not a ps3??
Because the Xbox is better and looks prettier... ;)
Erm, actually, because it was Microsoft's idea (best I can gather) and they make the 360. And it is made to be bundled with Kinect Star Wars, which (obviously) is a 360 exclusive.

The main thing I remember about the movie was the "Can you believe an idiot like George W Bush is our president?!?!?" joke that was a little late to the party. Cutting edge humor there, Chris Carter. And quite bold and daring if I must say so myself.
That was a really dumb moment in the movie.
I now own the whole series. Since they were so expensive when they were first released (>$100/season) I just had to grab all of the seasons when they were $15 per. Maybe I'll actually get around to watching them seriously once I cancel the ol' netflix. I've seen all of seasons 3-6, and most of 1-2 and I think practically none of 7-9. I imagine there was a quality drop after 6, but I'm still looking forward to cathing up with it some day.
Massive quality drop after season six, but I still managed to enjoy them occasionally, and I actually really ended up liking Agent Doggett. Few hits, a lot of misses, but I am glade I watched them all. Tried to give the Lone Gunmen spin-off series a shot, but just couldn't do it.

I promise. FO3 starts tonight!
So many empty promises, Xhonzi. I am not even sure those words have any meaning coming from you anymore.
I was about to pack up my things and go stay at mother's. But I guess I can give you this one last chance. *tears* I am such a fool....
Artoo is more iconic and distinct.
A chrome golden C-3PO 360 (C-360?) wouldn't be nearly as cool as the R2-D2 360. I pretty sure I wouldn't have had the "Whoa, I want one!" knee jerk reaction to a Threepio model like I did to the Artoo model.
I cancelled my Netflix streaming too, mostly because of the price hike. I justified $8 a month, because it was so cheap. But jumping up a few bucks was just enough for me to undo that justification.
I am glad that when you cancel they have you give them a reason for cancelling, with one of the reasons being price.
Looking at the website, it doesn't really look like the kind of con that would really have much that would interest me... but if I can talk a few buddies into going with me to split up the gas money, I might just do it. Some other things I wouldn't mind doing in Nashville... including making a pilgrimage to Gaffer Tape's former lingerie shop (that was in Nashville, right?).

So, I felt like I finally had to watch Transformers 2...
Let me ask you something Xhonzi: You are suppose to be____________
(a) spending 2.5 hrs PLUS the time it took to write that post on stupid Micheal Bay films.
or
(b) binging on Fallout 3 like there is no tomorrow.
I had to play "cut the rope" on my phone just to feel like I wasn't completely wasting my time.
That's because you were wasting your time. Maybe "Cut the Rope" made you feel better about wasting that precious time, but it was wasted. And you can never get it back.
:( Bad Xhonzi! Bad!

I actually really enjoyed it. For some reason I didn't think much of it when I saw it just after it came out.
Last time I saw it I hadn't seen past season six of the TV series, so it was nice knowing more about the context of Mulder and Scully's situation this time through.
Crap. Are you telling me I'll have to watch it again and that I might actually like it if/when I watch the T-1000 seasons?
No, you don't have to watch it again. But yeah, if you didn't like it the first time I'd encourage a second viewing. Especially after you've watched the whole series, if you are watching the whole series.
That is really cool that is written inside the disc tray!
Now if only they included a speaker in the controller so it could babble on and pester you in Anthony Daniel's voice while you tried to play your games, then this thing would be perfect.

I will now always hear his posts in Tommy's voice.
Glad to help out. Personally, I can't shake hearing him as Forrest Gump with a bit of a generic Asian accent. Tommy Wiseau voice sounds like more fun though.
Okay, so that part of the blu-ray set is going to be pretty amazing! Too bad I still can't buy it on principle.

when the only Star Wars game on 360 worth playing is full of LEGO (not counting the original XBox backwards compatability).
I'd agree, though I'd make it plural, as I thought LEGO Star Wars III was pretty fantastic regardless of the fact that I've never seen more than a single episode of The Clone Wars nor have any interest to.
The Force Unleashed titles have been really good sellers too. But yeah, like 005 said, it is for the Kinect Star Wars game, which is suppose to be an extremely big deal and move a lot of Kinect units. So MS already has a lot of eggs invested in it, a move like this holiday bundle will only serve to increase desirability in the Kinect and Kinect Star Wars to a very large population of Star Wars fans who are not already 360 owners. Definitely a pretty smooth marketing move, IMHO.
So, it is bundled with a Kinect. I wonder if after all that work in making a fancy themed system, if it is just your standard black Kinect, or if they took the time to make it unique like the system and controller? I suppose if they had it would have been included in the photo.

However if you want to visit and view the place through a Victorian German fantasy lens we will welcome the money :-D
I actually wasn't talking about all that stuff.
I've run into more than my fair share of Scots during my adventures, and one characteristic that was present in almost every one of them was a strong sense of pride in being Scottish (and a distinct sense of humor).
Southwest-ish.
EDIT:
:C
Bingo beat me to it... AND made me feel dumb that I thought it was farther South than it was...
A Scotsman who isn't a nationalist; not very sexy. I don't think my LEGO avatar is very interested anymore.
After hearing about it years ago, but sadly and appropriately never being able to find it, I stumbled upon Monty Python's Holy Grail Ale the other day. Definitely not my favorite beer, but the art and the words "Tempered over burning witches" on every bottle was more than worth the price alone.
I've branched out on beers so much over the last couple of years, it is really hard to even list the ones I really like. There is a bar within walking distance from my place that has some really amazing house beers on tap, when I am in the mood for beer one of those is usually the taste that comes to mind, and when I pull even one of my favorites from the fridge my taste buds are often disappointed that taste wasn't the one they got. Stupid bar. May have ruined beer drinking for me forever... Hmm, wonder if it is too early to zip over there and grab a couple of pints...

I love that there is a portal gun in that picture.
Hmm, I am planning on being about 3 hrs away from Nashville during that time in October. Maybe I should show up at the Geek Media Expo to see GlaDOS... and maybe those guys from that creepy web series too.
