I don't like Apple
Time

I love my Mac, but I really hate the fashion statement Apples have become. And Apples marketing really annoys me.

Meanwhile, my old 4.5 gen iPod is holding up well, despite all the abuse I have put it through, and the abuse its former owner put it through (which was a lot, judging by the condition I got it in).

Also, out of all the laptops I have owned, I have never had one make it a year before I had to utilize the extended warranty at least once. My 2007 MacBook, other than cosmetic scars from my abuse, is still as good as the day I got it. Never gone this many years before without needing to replace my laptop. Sure, it was considerably more expensive than other units I have owned, but was clearly built far better. Been using laptops exclusively for over ten years now, and this one is by far the best quality.

Much like many other big companies like Microsith (love my 360 and my Zune), I love some of their products, but I am not particularly fond of the company itself.

Hmm, if the Protector Trials are on sale I'll definitely grab them (unfortunately, my copy of BS2 is not currently in my possession). Not only did I stick with my preferred weapon/plasmid combo throughout the game, but once I got the Drill Specialist tonic I switch to exclusive use of the drill and never went back (strangely addicting, that drill). So the P. Trials sound like they'd be an interesting challenge, especially if they only cost a few bucks.

Do people like remakes and reboots here, or hate them ?

So either Dench is playing at least two different M's or Bond is a codename for the 007 agents and Craig is a totally different human being playing out a professional biography to confuse anyone trying to identify him and previous agents.

 Or a third option.

The Bond films are an endless series of spy movies with no real continuity, but occasional nods to previous movies that aren't meant to mean much.

Why the metal gymnastics to try and fit films into logic and labels that they are plainly not made to fit?

Oh, Boost, I am reminded why I love you so much.

Never was much discussion of Fallout: New Vegas here.

As anyone who frequented this thread would know, C3PX was pretty excited about FO:NV.

Seems like just about every review I read mentioned Fallout: New Vegas as being better than Fallout 3. Seems most old school FO fans tend to be of the view that Fallout: New Vegas was finally a worthy continuation of the franchise while Fallout 3 was an absolute slap in the face.

Fallout 3 was my first venture into the Fallout universe, and I absolutely loved it from start to finish and through each and every DLC... I have every achievement for it and have wasted an unfortunate portion of my life playing it, and I can still sit down and wander the wasteland and find some small settlement that I have never stumbled across before with an interesting story to tell.

Playing Fallout 3 was a bit like reading a volume of short stories, or watching a serialized television show with unconnected stories.

Seems like I kept hearing how much more vast and deep the FO:NV world was, which left me to anticipate great things. Though now that it is said and done and I have beaten the games storyline and most of the side missions I have been able to stumble across, it all feels very small.

I can't for the life of me figure out why so many people claim it to be a vast improvement over FO3. Is it just because of the whole multiple factions thing? I've played all four factions, and find it kind of dull how closely all four follow each other. Not much variance, they pretty much all ask you to do the exact same things.

Oh well, end verdict for me, FO:NV was fun, but no where near the fun or size of FO3.

As for the Dead Money expansion, not sure if it is worth ten bucks, but I really enjoyed it.

ATTENTION: Dayv needs our help
Time

"Rather be a dick than dickless". "Lame to use a sock"? I am quickly remembering why I left here in the first place. :-(

I had no intention of returning, I just felt like piping up to support Warbler after Mr. Pontifex Maximus here laid into him, since nobody else was. Sure, I agree Warb should drop the whole Dayv thing and move on, but Bingo's harsh BS was uncalled for. Would have used my old account, but I misplaced my password. This will be my very last post, with it being my second post I have already made twice as many as I ever intended to with this account.

You do realise how weird this all sounds (much weirder than anything Shawn is speculating Dave has been up to)?

Like Dave I think you need help and you really need to get away from the internet because this whole yarn is really a knotted spiral of a soap plot and if you are a malleable as you seem to be saying you are you really need a much more simple life.

Now you are just being a dick. Not that you haven't always been a dick...

But seriously, what is up with the personal attacks on Warb? Your judging him as you are is quite uncalled for, IMHO. There are plenty of people that have been suspicious of Dayv's claims from the start, and mostly those who have spent the most time interacting with him. That is a bit of a red flag to start. Just none of them voiced it here publicly until Shawn came forward (someone who has been in contact with Dave and people Dave knows in real life). There are so many reasons to be suspicious about this thing it is absurd.

In your typical and signature Holier Than Thou way you seem to be fighting for people to shut up, stop looking at the evidence, and accept the fact that Dayv needs us to part ways with our money for his wellbeing. We've heard your spiel. Everyone has heard it. Everyone will make their own decision on this matter based on the evidence. I agree with everyone who says the discussion has been exhausted, it has, there is nothing more to say. I agree Warbler is accomplishing nothing by continuing to demand evidence (that is obviously not forthcoming) from Dayv, but why resort to ripping him apart for it? He was a lot closer to this thing than you. You kind of missed the point of what he has been saying, that he has interacted with Dayv for years through various sites and considered him a real friend despite things that had happened between them in the past. He was still eager to jump to action to help a friend, and felt burnt when he realized he had been taken for a ride. He has a right to feel that way.

All this said, while I am in here I might as well say I am still very fond of Dayv, and am not going to hold anything against him. I suspected he didn't have cancer before Shawn's post, and am still quite sure he doesn't. If he does have cancer, I wish him the best and would offer him one of the best pieces of advice I have ever received myself: "If you don't look out for yourself, no one will."

There are quite a few people here willing to help, no way you can blame them for being suspicious after what they have been told by Shawn, if you really are sick then all blame for these doubts fall on Shawn's shoulders, not on them. You're the only one who can clear this thing up definitively, and doing so would be very beneficial to you. I am on a pretty tight budget these days, but I'd scrounge together something to send you if you did.
