I just want to say everybody here sucks for not liking and playing the games I like and play and leaving nobody for me to talk to about them.

That is all.

P.S. The next game I will be purchasing is Rage. In the interest of not sucking, buy it.

Your recommendation of Shadow Of The Colossus and Ico were big hits and Chateau Bingowings.

My joke was aimed at my normal split-screening companions and recent multiplayer games that have been coming out. So you don't suck Bingo.

Glad it was a successful recommendation. I am actually really excited about the HD version of Shadow of the Colossus and Ico coming later this year to the PS3. Be fun to play them again in HD and without wires. Also, I haven't read details on it, but I assume the version of Ico they use will be the European version. The North American version, sadly, was rushed and missed some features that were not ready at the time it was published, but made it into the European release.

I've only met the Runaway Bride at the closing of the episode, I already don't like her.

I love her! She is by far my favorite companion! I really disliked her in the Christmas special, but when she becomes his regular companion she instantly grew on me. I really liked the dynamic between her and the Doctor, the whole she is in love with him but he doesn't/can't/won't love her back theme stretching over three whole seasons and two companions was getting painful and exhausting. Not to say she isn't annoying sometimes, but far less so than the other RTD Who companions.

I absolutely love the whole "I just want a mate" exchange between her and the Doctor in the first season 4 episode, made me laugh really hard. That episode was pretty awful otherwise though.

I really like David Tennant, it is hard to go back and watch his episodes though, painfully annoying companions really drag his episodes down. With Amy Pond they hit the nail so hard on the head... instead of feeling like I have to tolerate her to enjoy the show, I wish I could spend some time in a police box with her.

I had totally forgotten about Anti-Matter and was really curious as to who he was so I read the thread that was linked to and suddenly remembered it well.

Man, I LOVE this C3PX guy, wish he was still around. :(

Moth3r, Erikstormtrooper, and Adywan, you are all trolls, appearently. You are also lemmings who have contributed nothing, ZERO, ZILCH!

All three of you have engaged in a blantant display of unsolicited trashing and you all disgust me!

Can you believe a mod would say something so cruel and unsolicited as:

[Personally I think it's bad etiquette to remove the first post from a thread with eighty-something replies.

What does "make better use of available web resources" mean exactly?

And Erik, you ought to be ashamed of yourself, I always felt you were a valuable member of this community but I will be fooled no longer after reading where you unsolcititedly and lemmingishly said:

Yeah, and some hint as to where this is being moved TO would be nice.

And Adywan, as of late you have been a bit of a forum celebrity, but I daresay you have destroyed your reputation when you got so bold as to say such things as:

So what does "This project is being moved to make better use of available web resources" mean then? I really can't see why you would want to move this project from here. Without the guys here i wouldn't have been able to accomplish half of what i did with "Revisited". Maybe a better explanation would be nice, especially when so many here have already had an input into this project since you opened this thread.

So, PM me as to where you are off to Anti-Matter, I can't stand to be around this bunch of lemmings anylonger. Those unsoliciters with their homerisms, juvenile mob mentality, and their presumptuousness can all go to hell for all I care! I hereby leave OT.com forever.

Oh man, after a strong start, I really haven't been enjoying this season much, however, the last two episodes were exactly the sort of thing I like to see in my Doctor Who.

As far as what was in rm. 11, I agree with Ovan. It explains his casual "Oh, it's you." and fits right in with the theme of the episode, which was the Doctor's "God complex".

"Pardon Me Sir" deserves to be an OT.COM meme.

It should be used whenever we post a response that is blatantly obvious but rather tactless.

I still really like how OT.com memes are hand picked to be memes and become memes based on the whim of a few people, even though the majority of the members on the site never use them, don't know where they came from, and have no idea what they mean.

I still really do think we're missing the point.

Kind of like Snakes on a Plane being made with the intention of becoming a cult hit...

You know, the more I think about it, the more twofortwo makes sense as our sock. I have never heard "butthurt" from anyone before, and it is unspeakable stupid sounding, yet twooffour thinks it is incredulously cool.

If twooffour were to make a sock, it would make sense he'd have it say "butthurt" to prove that it is indeed a very cool and commonly used meme.

Of course, I fully admit that this is very likely what our sock was going for and that his use of "butthurt" (dah, it hurts to type that!) was intended to make us think it was twooffour, who is, quite frankly, very likely the only person over the age of 8 that thinks it might be a cool word to use.

So in other words... this post is pointless and has gotten us nowhere. :D

No, there's no split-screen mode. Online only.

What is with all the hate this game has been getting? The last games I bought on release were Halo: Reach, Fallout: New Vegas, Portal 2, and now Dead Island.

Out of all of those, Dead Island is the only one I feel was good value for the money I spent. I really did enjoy Portal 2, but is was a bit short for a full priced game, and as someone who bought it on day one, the temporary twenty dollar price drop in the second week of its release felt like a big fat middle finger obnoxiously waving itself in my face. :-(

So far my experience of Dead Island (which has been a couple of hours solo and several hours co-op) has been an extremely fun one. After several hours of playing, my game has frozen solid on me twice, in comparison to FO:NV which would freeze about once every hour, this really isn't that big of a deal to me. The only other glitches I have found are an occasional vanishing zombie, weird and annoying, but not anything close to a game breaker.

The game feels a lot like Borderlands with depth, Fallout 3 with co-op, and Left 4 Dead with freedom. A very pleasant mix, and one of the best and most enjoyable games I have played in a long time. I really like having run-ins with the occasional human enemy as well. To me that adds a whole lot to the game.

I heard the PC and PS3 versions are horrible and buggy as hell, but so far I've clocked quite a few hours into the Xbox version and really have very few complaints. After the unplayable buggy experience of Fallout: New Vegas, I really can't find much to complain about with Dead Island. Co-op is fantastic. Being at a different level than the friends you're co-oping with gets annoying, but that seems to be a standard ailment with co-op RPGs.

I would love to know who IAMPSYCHODAYVSCANCER really is

DAYV seems to think it was Rotten Johnny.

From all my interactions with Johnny from here and at the Mangler's forum, he seems far more mature than that. When he did post here to warn people that Dayv was faking it, he did it very level headedly and as tactfully as an accusation like that could possibly be handled. He seems to really care about Dayv despite of his belief he was making things up, and they'd been friends in the past. I have a hard time imagining someone in that position wasting their time to heckle and insult in this kind of way.

Of course that doesn't mean it isn't him. He and Warbler have kind of a history together too, so his heckling extended to Warbler would seemingly point to Johnny.

Good Idea: Leaving Off-Topic mostly unmoderated, as it has been successfully for quite a while.

Bad Idea: Having a sudden change of heart and moderating the hell out of it.

Good Idea: Rethinking the ridiculous sudden spike in moderation and unlocking the half a page of locked threads.

Bad Idea: Advertising to the entire internet that OT.com's Off-Topic section is now officially unmoderated with the words "(unmoderated)" next to it, effectively inviting everyone and their brother to drop by and cause as much trouble as possible.

That image I have my image in, I proudly have owned it since its release.

I assume you meant to say something along the lines of the game your avatar image is from?

I actually always wished I had bought that game years ago when it was still on store shelves. I remember it was part of a buy two get one free deal at EB Games once, but I wasn't familiar with BR at the time. I think I got Sim Copter, the Streets of Sim City (which were the two games I really wanted), and some crappy racing game as my third game since they didn't have anything else I was interested in. Really should have grabbed BR then. That would be one old game I'd be very proud to have the complete original box and book for.

I feel like you are just using that as an excuse. There are reviews and plenty of other methods to try out games before you buy them these days. It is not an excuse for piracy. I suspect you don't always check for a demo before you download, if you do I'd be impressed. And I'd be even more impressed if you download brand new $50 dollar games, play them, like them, then run out and buy them the next day, or delete them the second you realize it isn't a game you'd spend money on.

Wow, first day under the whole no moderation thing, and we already have wares links! I don't see this going over very well...

But yeah, if you are into stealing games, PC is totally the best platform. Damn consoles and their copy protected games!

Try before you buy.

That is what demos are for.

Kind of funny, the other big PC gaming advocate in these parts mentioned getting some of his games from torrents... I am sensing a pattern.

Anyway, I love this image from Zero Punctuation, it sums up how I feel about all this silly PC "fanboyism" than seems to have been stubornly making its way onto every page of this thread lately:
