Aren’t channel misalignments a product of the Technicolor IB print, not the photography, though? So fixing that shouldn’t be at all controversial. Though I must say I’m not offended by fixing flickering etc. that may have been a product of the original photography.
I’d keep:
-The Windows in Cloud City too.
-The shots of Cloud City when Lando makes the announcement.
-Some of the CGI shots from the Battle of Yavin.
-The coloring of R2-D2 that was corrected from the blue screen shots.
-Jabba’s larger palace door.
-1997 ROTJ Special Edition Victory Celebration
-The explosion from the destruction of Alderaan.
-The touch-ups to Obi-Wan and Vader lightsaber battle in ANH.
-Han’s “It’s alright, I can see a lot better.” line.
-The newer establishing shot of Obi-Wan’s hut.
-The cleaning up of the Battle of Hoth and the Snowspeeders.
-C-3PO’s line about the tractor beams.

Actually if it were recessive, allowing the Jedi to have children with non sensitives would increase the amount of force sensitivity out there over time by introducing the gene into the general pool. It’s just that not every child would be force sensitive.
If you limited who they could have kids with, you’d end up after several generations with a very unhealthy genetic pool.
Han seemed pretty shocked that Ben Kenobi hadn’t heard of the Falcon. I have no problem with it being a legend amongst smugglers.
While I agree I have no problem with the Falcon being famous, to be fair, feigned surprise could have been part of his sales pitch or ego.
Vader’s way of dealing with an Imperial officer he felt had failed him makes all the Force choking in ESB tame by comparison.

Jeez, the prospect of a “fancy” type theater showing one of the most famous movies of all time on a highly publicized tour… digitally projected in 2K is, well, not only depressing, but embarrassing.
If there’s one thing that points to any optimism on this issue (and more specifically, the potential for the adoption of Legacy), it’s that within a few years a large subset of consumers are going to expect 4K even on home media, and Lucasfilm literally cannot provide it now, even for f**king cinemas.
Unless they’re some new transfer. Why would they have explicitly called it '97 otherwise?

I’m not convinced one billboard in SF is going to sway Lucasfilm one way or the other. (Is it even anywhere near where Lucasfilm brass are sure to see it?) And 5k would go a lot farther on projects around here.

Even early Tarantino wasn’t excessively violent like Kill Bill, Django, and The Hateful 8, which actually depict more blood and gore than is realistic for the given situations. Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction had blood, sure, but it was realistic levels for the violence at hand. Star Wars is certainly violent, but not bloody, as most of the wounds are caused by lasers.
And yet, the SE will be the only versions the public will be allowed to see for decades to come.
