Farewell Diet Gaffer Tape! (& Crane Brothers) We barely knew thee!
Time

No. Stop the nonsense! Like every other thread you come into contact with, you've totally pulled this thread off topic and... oh... wait... this thread is about the Crane brothers... so... it IS on topic. That is unusual. So, uh yeah, proceed.

As far as Biff=funny and thus not getting banned... that isn't fair, WIN Hellhound (DOS Hellhound's doppelganger) was damn hilarious and that poor bastard still got banned. Man, I miss that guy...

I agree with just about every word you said in there. It obviously wasn't intended to be the Judeo-Christian God by any stretch, in fact, it made it very clear it wasn't. When you talk about God and theism, it is not only limited to the traditional Judeo-Christian take on the subject. But what is presented to us is definitely a omniscient and omnipotent being, with abilities to create and to send angels (messengers) and even raise the dead. I still feel the shows finale, by definition, was not agnostic. Not that it is worth debating about, or that I want to debate it, I was just curious how you viewed it as agnostic, and now my curiosity has been satified. Thanks.

And the final season is fantastic--especially the ending. Wonderfully agnostic and open-ended.

Just out of curiousity, how is it "agnostic"? BSG's final, love it or hate it, basically answered all the shows mysteries with the catch all "God did it!". Which seems to me definitively theistic, since it clearly explained that there was some diety pulling the strings all along.

For what it's worth, has Jacob ever done anything that was clearly 'good' for anyone? Ever?

He paid for Kate's lunch box, He helped Jack get his stuck Apollo candy bar, He gave Hurley a nice guitar case worth about $100 with a wooden Ankh inside (value unknown), he offered the Man in Black (his declared enemy) some of his Fish/Meal (thought of as extreme good manners & saintly in some cultures)... All of these acts would elevate someone to sainthood in my eyes.

Whoooohooooo! I am uber saintly then. I do these sorts of things all the time, and still see myself as a fairly selfish person. I think I will change my description from "Evil One" to "Saint". Even just today I altruistically gave someone I didn't know a dollar to buy themselves some nasty carbonated HFCS Water from a vending machine.

EDIT: Very interesting post FF, I like your theories.

Wow, I was mementarily half considering making a sock named Jack with the title of "Hooker"... then I thought of all that work poor Fink has to do when switching between himself and his socks. Log out... log in... post... log out... log in... post... log out... log in... post... log out... log in... post... got to get tiring. And the socks are already a bit crazy.

Why Can't We Respect Other Peoples Beliefs?

We are not supposed to judge.  That's Gods job.

According to scripture, God's job is to judge a soul as being worthy of entering the kingdom of heaven. We may not do that. As far as doing the other kind of judging, I do it all the time and proudly. So does everyone, including those who rebuke people for being judgmental.

All I can say that I think a large part of the problems is that too many people have decided to hate because of their religious beliefs.

I think it's the other way around; I think people use/distort religious teaching to lend weight to their prejudices.

Excellent response VFP. I am with you 100% on both. I'd elaborate, but there is no need, you said it perfectly.

For a new level of fulfillment, use your feet.

Unless you have no arms, then you're already used to it,lol.

Ok, hang on...

uh...

I can't make the "L" with my feet!

*penny*

Help?

Try bending your big toe while keeping your other toes strait. Results will vary, depending on how flexable your toes are.

I see at least two typos.  Where should I start?

On "strait" since it comes before "flexable".

If you are right handed, then sucess with the left hand can be a very rewarding experience. But in the end, this is a personal decision you must make on your own.

I paid a penny for THAT?

I wanted YOU to make the decision for me.

...Geez!

...I'll just use both at the same time.....that'll be super-rewarding.
