Happy (Extraneous disc releases of Avatar for) Earth Day?
Time

YES! Cookie Monster is officially awesome and also now officially part of our tribe. Yub nub.

The kind of people I work with in my profession, they tend to climax everytime the word Avatar is spoken. It gets old. I didn't like that movie, but in my daily life I cannot admit it, because then I have to explain myself to incredulous stares. It is like my sports problem all over again.

Hmm, just not that excited about Reach anymore.

Finally been getting into MW2, really liking it now. Been playing Spec Ops with my buddies, and just today I finally got into the team multiplayer stuff. I still suck at it and get guys complaining at me, but I am no longer (at least not always) at the very bottom of the score chart at the end.

Also, came home from work today and noticed that the DLC for Left 4 Dead 2 came out today! So I immediately, without hesitation wasted my money on it. Great fun. At the $7 mark it is a little pricey for what it is I guess, was hoping it would be a bit more substantial after being disappointed with Crash Course for the first L4D. This was a bit better value than that was, but still a slight disappointment, campaign definitely could have been longer and a few more new weapons would have been nice. The new addition of the "Mutation" game mode looks promising though, has the potential to make things really interesting.

And, I may just be dreaming, but I do believe they fixed the team member A.I. At release, your team members were so worthless the game was almost impossible to play by yourself even on normal. They would tend to stand around and watch you die, which was really annoying. But today while playing the new DLC campaign, it seemed that they were pretty quick to snap to my rescue anytime I found myself in a tight spot. Hope this is really the case and I am not only imagining things, as that was a huge hindrance to the game for anyone who didn't always want to play online.

ABC's NSFW Thread (NSFW) (Undercard: TVF vs. vfp)
Time

Oh, I guess I am just really used to working cross culturally, and am used to giving things like this a pass without a second thought. Yeah, I definately think there is a language barrier issue at works here. The English word "boring" is sometimes complicated to translate (meaning to bore a hole in something with a tool, or figuratively with mundane activity). I looked up the French word for "boring" and it can also mean "annoying", I think that is more what ABC was going for there.

Ooooh well... OK.

You deserve these:

I present you my sincere apologies Frink for havin' been boring to you in your thread!

How is this not an apology, Fink?

Okay, I know he told you to get a doctor at the end, that wasn't the smoothest thing to do. But it was an apology for the things he did in your thread none the less.

Mmm... soy.

Nah, I'd be all for being devoured by zombies to get me out of this crapsack world.  As long as they make it fast.

But it wouldn't be fast, it'd be slow. Oh so very sloooow. They'd start with your intestines. And they wouldn't be sharp clean cuts, they be dull jagged teeth ripping chunks out bit by bit. Oh no, "fast" is the last word you'd use to describe it.

Come on Gaff, you know if it happened you'd be out there with a shovel or something knocking heads off with glee. It wouldn't be a crapsack of a world anymore, it would suddenly be a FREAKIN' AWESOME WORLD TOTALLY WORTH LIVING IN!!!

MURDER at the Sylvester Estate!
Time

Sooo, is this thing being picked up for a second season? I hate when shows get canceled on a cliff hanger. Hmm, maybe we should mail mass quantities of some really inexpensive object to the studio execs to annoy them to death and show them how serious we are about wanting this thing renewed. Then when it does get renewed, we'll just download the episodes off of thepiratebay each week and the execs, seeing that it is still getting very few viewers, will cancel it a second time, but this time we will be kind of bored with it and not really care anymore, because honestly, the second season will get pretty convoluted and add all sorts of extra pointless characters and lose all that we thought was great about season one. Our only lament will be that season two will also end on a cliff hanger, but ultimately, we will get over it and no longer care within a matter of hours...

So, yeah, can we expect to find out what happens next? Or is this the end?

In a PM, Fink actually told me he has a photo album filled with silly cat pics for every situation imaginable stashed away within his emergency zombie apocalypse survival bag.

Warbler's zombie apocalypse survival bag contains no weapons and a megaphone which he intends to use to communicate with the zombies, in hopes he will be able to reason with them and convince them that synthetic human flesh and organs made out of soy can be almost as tasty and nutritious as the real thing only without the guilt associated with eating someone's internal organs while they scream in agony.

New Bond film suspended indefinitely
Time

I liked Casino Royale, but I wasn't too thrilled with Quantum of Solace. Felt like we kind of came full circle from making Bond more serious and modern to back to the crazy over the top antics of the Brosnan Bond films.

While Casino felt like they were taking the franchise in an exciting new direction, Solace felt right on par with the last decade of Bond, which was fine for a decade, but is getting a bit (okay, extremely) tired.

This "indefinite suspension" could be a very good thing for the series. Its attempted reboot failed miserably after a promising start, if it dies off for a while and is forgotten, it could potentially be all the more fun and exciting when picked up again several years down the road.
