Yeah, but that is true for everybody, why should he be the exception? Personally, I think it is pretty ridiculous to expect me to bike to work, rain or shine, for the greater good. It just isn't reasonable. I sympathize with the guy, but I won't take him seriously. If he starts really practicing what he preaches and refusing to travel around in a private jet and in turn doing his guest speaking via teleconferance with a massive projector screen or something, then I'll be impressed and might start taking him seriously. As it is, I see a guy who has a lot to gain by preaching this bullshit, and who doesn't practice any sort of lifestyle change to go along with his preaching. I call this enviromental stuff bullshit, and yet I am willing to bet I am ten times the true enviromentalist Mr. Gore is.

I'm pretty sure some of the places he is flying to would be impossible to bike to.

Do you really fail to see any degree of hypocrisy in Al Gore? It would be silly to expect him to bike it every where, but why not travel around in hybrid? Or some other fuel efficient manner? Why not teleconference in his lectures, setting an example of these methods that could be used to reduce fuel usage.

they don't all molest children.

Didn't say they did.

You're not included anyway! This event is exclusively for us elitist owners of the new DLC for L4D2, not for lame owners of just the boring old original version of the game. ;)

Nah, if you could make it, I am sure we would all be happy to play one of the original campaigns, or the 05s and I could move our playing of the DLC campaign up by an hour (took me 45 min to beat it the first time on normal by myself, 30 the second time with two friends) and be ready to play a regular campaign with you by 0830. But if you can't, there will always be next time.

YES! We must! I am up for it just about any time. I gave you my email through PM the other day, if you feel like playing and I am not online (which I rarely ever am), just send me an email.

Xhonzi just got the game, so I doubt he'll be into buying the DLC this soon, but we should get some non-DLC L4D2 games going too Xhonzi can break in his shiny new copy of the game.

Here are some examples of the propaganda they hand out to children, in case you were not very familiar with the organization. They are pretty extreme.

now that's just not nice.   do you believe this about all non-conservatives?   : (

Those aren't my words... those are the words of Mary Beth Sweetland.  If YOU needed insulin, you can't take it.  But, because she is a PETA VP, her life is important enough to take it.  Do you understand the difference?

yeah, if she believes that, she's nuts.

I don't think she is nuts. PETA has always struck me as more of a power thing. This isn't the only contradiction of values that have come out from its members. Much like Al Gore flying around in a private jet while telling people to bike it to save the enviroment just don't add up. Like a priest telling people to remain sexually pure and not to use condoms while he himself molests young children.Never trust someone on a pedastal, they are always full of shit. Usually there are ulterior motives.

She leads an organization threatening people's lives that develop these drugs- they tell all of their members (and their non-members, come to think of it) not to use these drugs (including insulin)

does really tell people not take insulin?  even if its that or die?

Not very familiar with PETA, are you Warb?

I really hope you are making a joke there.

The kind of people I work with in my profession, they tend to climax everytime the word Avatar is spoken. It gets old. I didn't like that movie, but in my daily life I cannot admit it, because then I have to explain myself to incredulous stares. It is like my sports problem all over again.

you're just a weirdo  ;)   *stare incredulously at C3PX*

Lol. Exactly. :) Don't worry, I am used to it.

That is okay, I don't like to share my ale, and I certainly wouldn't dream of letting another man, imp, or strange yellow being lay a figure on my fat hen, and I too think my beard is quite ugly. I still stand by the carefree and kind comment though. You seem like a swell individual. I hope you stick around. I like you. So much more fun than Fink.
