Yeah, they are great. Though the movie has nearly ruined the whole thing. Now when I recomend to anyone the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books or radio shows, they looked at me weird and mention how lame the movie looked and wonder why they would want to read or listen to anything based off such a lame movie. Which is very unfortunate. Stupid movie! And to move this thing back on topic, I am currently listening to my old Barenaked Ladies' album, Gordon.

It wouldn't really make sense to make them different for the sake of letting people buy both. From what I read at the last minute everybody who was testing the game said it was really awkward with the left handed thing, so at the last minute for the sake of making Link right handed in the easiest and quickest way possible they completely fliped the entire game. The bit I read said that the two versions will even have completely different players guides because they will mirror images of each other. This came from an Interview with Mayamoto or however you spell his name. It wouldn't make sense just to flip the dungeons and leave everything else the same.

Here is a link to the article:

http://www.nintendo411.com/articles/50/1/Wii-version-of-Twilight-Princess-completely-mirrored-to-make-Link-right-handed/

and here is the article:

"When Nintendo decided to change the controls of Twilight Princess to allow controller movements to swing Link's sword, it was decided that it would be too strange for gamers to be swinging their right hand in order to make Link swing his left. Thus, they decided to switch Link's sword arm and make him right handed.

What would be the best way to implement such a change so late in the development process? The most obvious choice would be to flip Link's character model, but with the rest of the game designed around Link attacking from a southpaw stance that would be sure to change the way at least some of the fights worked. No, the quickest and easiest solution was to simply mirror the entire game!

Famed game developer Shigeru Miyamoto had this to say about the decision: "Although Link is [traditionally] left-handed, at E3 we noticed people seemed to be using the right Wii controller to swing his sword. That's why we decided to make Link right-handed. The interesting thing is, on the GameCube Link is still left-handed; because of the mirror mode the game map is reversed."

It looks like the controls won't be the only difference between the Wii and GameCube versions of Twilight Princess! I can only imagine that it would be pretty disorienting to play through one of them and then go back and play through the other one. I may have to rent the GameCube version and give it a try after I finish on the Wii!"

I was reading that the Wii version of Zelda is completely fliped. So it is a mirror reflection of the Gamecube version. That would be really weird. From what I read they did this to make Link right handed for the sake of the majority of players being right handed and having difficulty using the wii remote in their right hands to control Link's left hand. I wonder if this is true. Either way, I am thinking the Gamecube version would be the way to go. It was origianlly designed for the GC and all I see that is different is the control system. I am pretty old fasion, so I think I would rather use a traditional controller rather than wave my arms around like an idiot. Also what's Link if he is right handed? He has always been a leftly.

So, anybody know where I can pick up a decent Gamecube dirt cheap?

Actually, I have observed in Stinky wisdom vastly beyond that of a person of the age I preceive Stinky to be. I am from here forth going to consider Stinkly the wise-guru-in-residence at OT.com. I think many of you would agree with me on this notion. I think we should all be quite wise, if we were to consider coming to Stinkly in times of disagreement, he is sure to have the wisdom to know just how to clear up any sort of disput we might have.

I think we should ask Jay if he wouldn't mind removing Stinky's "I am ready for the trials!" title in favor of the title "Wise-guru-in-residence" After all, he did it for Sir Posts-A-Lot. What da ya say Jay?

Yeah, so this guy like, invited me over to his apartment the other night, and he has his walls COMPLETELY covered with pictures of me and these other girls he has crushes on. How cute is that! It is so sweet. He has actually never had a real date before because he is always too sky to ask girls out. Personally, he is a little bit too unexperienced for me.

New Librarian
Time
Not too likely. Being as Richard and William are two very common first and last names. Great huh? It is like the guy has either two first names or two last names. Observe. Someone could have the name William Richards and somebody else could be names Richard Williams. Just by adding as 's' to the end of either name makes it a last name. You gotta love names like that! Of course it kind of sucks to have such a common names, but it sure is cool when others have them.

Oh, by the way, that would be really cool to have the Richard Williams as your librarian. If that were the case, and I were in your shoes, I would probably even spend more time at the library than I do now. Just talking to the wise old sage of a librarian and collecting as much of his wisdom as I can. Although from my experience, most librarians are lower to middle class, middle to elderly aged women without much wisdom to depart, so when I do go to the library it is usually just for the books. Hey, maybe even if your librarian is not the Richard Williams, he may still be a wise old man or at least somebody cool to talk to. That could be pretty cool too.

Request: Edits and Xvids - file size limits help

I agree about the xvid thing. I really wish more edits were released this way. Especially after I have painstakingly downloaded a few that turned out to be awful edits. If they were in xvid format I would put a lot more effort to download them. Then they could be watched and deleted if they are not worth hanging onto, or they could be downloaded in a higher quality format if they are worth keeping.

BLASPHEMER!!! Just kidding. Right on the target. I find it humorous how awful people still act in the name of Christ. I suppose if they were really followers of Christ's teachings, then there would be a lot less massive Church buildings with basketball gyms on every street corner, and a whole lot less starving children in the world. Think what that money could do if it was focused in the right areas. Instead they just throw it back into themselves. Funny stuff. If you read the gospels, Jesus taught selflessness, but I don't see too many Christians being any less selfish than anyone else, and at time more so. Can you really be called a "Christian" if you don't even follow the teachings of Christ? Just a thought.

Also tiptup, ever hear "give to Caesar what is Caesar's"? Stop complaining about paying taxes. It isn't stealing, they have the right. If you live in America you live a very comfortable and secure life. That might not be as common of a situation as you believe it is. You've no right to complain, and the government has a right to piss on that money as much as they like, being as it belongs to them and all. Also the things you said about what if the government started a program to pillage and rape, that is so retarded. I am sure if that happened ADM would happily agree with you that they would be wrong. Don't come up with over the top analogies, it makes you sound like a freak. If you want to give a good name to the conservatives think about things before you say them.

I just had some things I wanted the people at OT.com to think about. I was not trying to start a flame war. I felt if I posted as Warbler, it would do just that. I thought the best chance I had to get the people at OT.com to think about what I had to say, was to post under another name. I though if the people at OT.com had thought it was coming from another person and not a member of FE, they'd be more likely to listen. I say again I was not trying to start a flame war. I tried to say what I had to say politely and civilly as I could. I was trying to get the people at OT.com to think about what happen from another perspective. I was just trying help restore what was once a great forum. I'll have you know I feel embarrassed and humiliated about this right now. I apologize to both forums and to Sean and Boon for accidentially bringing suspicion on them. I apologize for bringing disgrace and embarrassment to FE. I promise never to do this again. I have acted stupidly and foolishly. This is my last post on this forum under any name, farewell.

Sweet! Another addition to our ridiculously large and growing quantity of farewell letters from our FE comrades. Keep em coming mates! Damn, I miss high school! Back in those days every silly little thing brought the world to a dramatic end. When you get older you realize nobody cares, nobody is going to care, and that you need to get the hell over yourself and realize there are bigger issues in the world than the elaborate soap opera that you secretly feel your life it. If there is anybody crying about warbler "moving on" for the umpteenth time, then they need to grow up too. However, I am finding this thread strangely entertaining. Oooh! Maybe Dayv will come back under the guise of another name, or better yet, as himself and yell at us some more then say goodbye again! Now that would make my week a better one, to be sure. One can only dream.

P.S. You FE guys know that if you were to want to come back, most of us would more than welcome you as long as you don't keep bringing up this stupid nonsense. I kind of get the impression that some of you don't find it so easy to just let this place go, and fair enough, some of you have been here a long time. If you can leave the past behind you, and if you come back without making a big show of it. There is no reason you should not be accepted back in.

Oh yeah, and I have always thought Shimi was cool because he actually reads. I like hearing him talk about books. Even if he only reads tripe like Harry Potter and EU Star Wars novels. It is still and admirable trait in any human. Far better than always staring at a glowing box in the corner of the room all day long as so many do. If he decides to start posting here again I wont complain.

Episode II: Shroud of the Dark Side (the TM edit) (Released)
Time
I think TM has things on the right track. Right now he wants to make it as perfect as possible to start with. Fair enough. Nobody other than Lucasfilm wants to release rushed unfinished products. Hold your horses, it will be coming soon enough. After the initial release TM will heed whatever feedback he gets and fix any technical errors before the DL release. Right now I am sure he just wants to be done with it more than any of us want to see it.

I believe we have forgotten for the most part. What always brings it up again are the ship jumpers who do dramatic things like... a.... start this thread for instance. I believe OT.com has moved on. If we have been dwelling on this, I certianly have missed it (this thread and other dramatic FEer threads excluded of course). I am sorry a few people felt the need to start a clone sight and move to that. But it really hasn't had as great of an impact as they expected it to have. I remember reading some of their posts on FE right after it happened, and laughing because Dayv posted something to the effect of how sorry he was OT.com was going to suffer so much because of Jay's behavior and wondering how long it would take for OT.com to recover from the great loss. I laughed, because I think the majority of the whole sight didn't even seem to know anything had happened, the offtopic was the only place anything was noticable. And now, other than for people making a big scene everytime they decide or threaten to completely cut ties with OT and only visit "the other sight", it is all forgotten.
