Sorry folks.Don't get excited.It's a complete fraud.

Could you tell us how you know that?

If it was being sold on ebay rather than being auctioned off by a costume shop that also has Sean Connery's dinner jacket, then I wouldn't question it being a fake. But what makes you so positive that this is a fake?

Did you get it yet?

I played it on the SNES, but it was really, really difficult - almost punishing to a fault.

I am looking foward to the Castlvania series soon, I hope - and I can't wait for Symphony of the Night on XBLA.

It is one of those games that looks like it would be cool, so you pick it up and play it, you die countless times and make no progress then realize that it isn't worth wasting your time on. Perhaps I never gave it a chance, but that game really doesn't give a good first impression.

I would save my credits Chaltab. Maybe they will release StarFox soon (if they haven't already) that game is really hard but totally worth it.

The vocalizing in the PT.
Time
Yub Nub, I think it should count as vocalized. That one is a true classic. Craig Kilborn preformed an acustic version of it on his show some years ago, it was pretty funny. Replacing that song may have been the one aspect of the SE I truly enjoyed, I found the new music much more moving and fitting for the end of the trilogy. It is sad but happy at once, kind of like a sigh of relief and deep breath taken at the end of a great long winded struggle, finally a chance to relax... and mourn the loss of our comrades.

I didn't mind the vocalized music of the PT, it definately had flaws far beyond that to take the blame. I really liked Duel of the Fates, it was a great and very energetic piece. I think ROTS may have gone a little overboard with it though. Some spots had very dramatic music while the stuff going on on screen was utter lameness, I feel this gives the film a slightly comic effect, which I am pretty sure is not what they were aiming for.

How old is zeigfried anyway?

Maybe 13 or so. Judging by his posts he seems to be at that time in his life where his body is changing and he doesn't know why. At that stage of life where every time a girl smiles at you it becomes a life changing event that requires a few hours alone in your room to ponder why she smiled at you, what could it mean, and what profound and drastic effect it is going to have on your life. Judging by some of Zigs post, he really seemed to be at this stage of life. But then again he has mentioned being in college and having "made a video game". My personal opinion is that he is full of it, I guess I should give him the benefit of the doubt, but Zig is one of those guys who makes that really hard to do.

I'm at the stage of life where I wonder what is the usefulness of having a lesbian friend?

If she is hot and your are single, that stage never ends.

How to be a SW fan
Time
Huh, that was not bad. This kid may be on to something. I mean how frustraiting is it being an SW fan? Who the hell has to fight for a DVD release of their favorite movie in decent quality? Being an SW fan could very well be considered a masochistic practice. Being a Star Trek fan would be so much easier, how great would it be to spend blissfilled hours debating why Klingon blood was pink (and pathetically CG) in zero gravity, but red every where else. Even more fun is how the Klingon got his ruffles. Us true Star Wars fans have choosing the difficult path. I liked what this guy said about the people who own all the DVDs and have a few SW posters not being real SW fans. That is something I very much agree with.

Are you out to get me or something? Why the need to be a pain in the ass? If you're beyond using the word fuck ever on the internet good for you, there's no need to shove your PC world down my throat.

There always seems to be a holier person on forums, who need to play God and demean others...

I didn't sense any holier than thouness comming from Cassidy, in fact when he said "Live with it. You're Awesome" I think he was actually complimenting your response. This board is a pretty unPC place, don't expect people to get on you for such minor things, we just like to mess with each other a lot. A little bit of friendly jousting. Live with it.

Oh, and if you do stick around I bet you really will learn to like Cass, he is a cool guy. Don't take things so personally, none of us are out to get you and we are happy to have you here.

MST3K

The criticism of the movie can be great, that is basically what the whole riff is, but in this case it is not humerous complaining it is just moaning. And I have listened to that many times while watching the movie with my friends. I have watched a good deal of MST3K and even if the jokes get sparse at times (which really isn't that common, at least not the the degree they do halfway through EP.1) they still keep them coming. On the TPM riff I really got the impression that they were hating having to do the riff.

Old ziggy will be back, his previous farewell post was made less than a month ago, and we can expect one or two more before Summer. And even if he does decide to break form rules and create for himself a third (or perhaps fourth? Still not sure what to think about Darth Cold) identity, we will have no problem recongnizing him. The fellow is a very distinguishable poster.

Oh man, I am watching the riff for Episode I. They really pick that movie apart. So many scenes that have grown on me and don't bother me anymore and they point out how very lame they are. I am starting to feel ashamed I paid to see this thing in the cinema more than once. Also this is the fisrt time in a very long time I have seen the unedited version of this film. So many scenes I forget ever existed. Proof that fan edits do work. Having violently hacked the whole underwater world/submarine adventure out of my version of TPM it was a big shock watching it again. I had forgotten how long that stupid "traveling through the planet core" crap went on for. I am almost to the podrace scene, really not looking forward to sitting through that again, even with the riff.

So far one of my favorite quotes is

"yeah, every fanboy's dream, take Natalie Portman to your room and show her your robot."

EDIT: Well, I finally had to turn it off. I couldn't make it the whole way through the movie. It started off funny, but about halfway through the podrace they kind of gave up on it. It finally gets to they point were they just complain about the movie and don't even try to be funny. Every few seconds they let out a painful groan as if to say why the hell did we choose to riff this pile of tripe. I turned it off right as they are about to return to Naboo. I will finish it some other time, I at least have the lightsaber fight to look forward to.

You know, I think there was something to be said for the scripted riffs of MST3K, no matter how bad the movie got the jokes kept coming. The riff for TPM is a perfectly good example of what can go wrong without a script.

What is a big fat ass dinosaur doing in my ANH?
Time
I felt the original Dewbacks were always much more alien looking than dinosaur like, I especially liked they furry texture. Make them seem more real. However in the special editions the Rhontos are way too dinosaur like for my taste. Also The name Rhonto is taken from bronto, a shortened form of Brontosaurus so even the name is admiting it is a dinosaur knockoff.

I agree. Despite my extreme disapproval of Kyle putting his typical mercenary days behind him and learning the ways of the force, I felt the two later Jedi Knight games were fantastic. They have always seemed much more OT than PT to me (with a fair dash of expanded universe thrown in). I really liked the feel of the force powers and the saber fighting.

****SPOILER*****

Am I the only one who was upset to see what had become of Kakariko Village in TP? It was kind of sad to see the town in shambles, I mean, the windmill was gone, Dampe's hut was just a pile of rubble...almost as bad as seeing what happened the Hyrule in WW...

****************

No, but..

****SPOILER****

I was even more upset about the fact that there are only three people that actually live in Kakariko and that two of them are adult males and the other is a very young child. The rest of the village was murdered by Twilight Creatures. How is Kakariko supposed to recover with an old guy, a middle aged man, and the middle-aged man's daughter as its only permanent residents?

***************

Holy crap! What a kinky scenario. If I were the middle aged man I would kill the old guy to prevent him from making any moves on my daughter, then I would take my daughter and run off to try to find some other town to live in.

Hmm, so is the Hyrule of TW designed to look like a future version of OoT? You guys mentioned the windmill and Dampa's hut. Spoilers don't bother me, I wont be playing this game anytime soon.

See what I mean? It was kind of tradition for a while there. None of the followups (in my opinion) have ever been quite as good as the main features. I definately wouldn't throw MM out, but If I were to choose between it an Ocarina, I would take Ocarina any day of the week.

See, that's a much harder choice for me. Ocarina of Time is longer and more epic, but Majora's Mask has a more involved story and some of the greatest character development of any game ever.

It's like choosing between Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back.

Huh, that is really odd, for some reason I will never be able to see them that way. I could so take Ocarina and leave Majora's with out a single qualm. I wonder why that game never struck a chord with me.

A quick semi related question. When I played Minish Cap I noticed that did the Majora's recycling characters thing again. Many of the people were people that showed up back in Ocarina of Time. Including the builders and the grave keeper and the running man. Please tell me they just did that for fun and none of these guys are in Wind Waker or Twilight Princess. Are they? Or did they come up with totally new models? Man, I have got to get a GameCube.
