And with the Buffy thing, I guess I used the wrong words with "casual" and "depict". I suppose depict would be to say it shows it on screen. As lordjedi pointed out most of the couples having sex on the show are commited couples, so casual was the wrong word. But even the sexual relationship with the red haired girl and Seth Green's character was shown in a positive light right? And they were both underage. My mentioning of Buffy was in response to ADM saying,

You all are making some pretty damning accusations here, so you need to be sure of what you're saying.

I would say Buffy is proof that my damning accusations are of something that is far from absent. With what lordjedi said about Dawson's Creek and the CW network, I would hazzard to say I may be more correct than I thought.

So about that game. You really made that? It is a port of some sort? You do any other work like that? Anyway, thanks for sharing, it looks interesting. So you see Spidey 3 yet? What did you think? I was pretty disappointed with it.

However, even for somebody who is a die hard fan of either of those two shows, why is it so unbelievable for them to complain about some of their contents? Do you agree with every bit of content found in any given film or TV show you watch ADM? Why do you have to ask if it is just hersay? I refuse to believe somebody who knows enough about TV to know the WB is defunct, honestly doesn't think that teenage sex is glorified (or at least has been within the past 10 years, like I said before, perhaps they purged teen dramas of this, but I find that hard to believe) by the media. Unless all you watch are after school specials, I don't think there are a lot of shows on TV that actually deglorify underaged sex a whole lot, maybe there are, but I bet it is glorified at least as often if not twice as often. But like I said, I never even turn on the TV, so there is a good chance I am wrong. I am judging this over what I have seen of TV nearly ten years ago.

Is it? How long ago did that happen? I went for a number of years without owning a TV, I have one now on loan from my sister (with a whopping big thirteen inch screen!), but I rarely turn it on. My wife uses it to watch the food network from time to time. So yeah, I am pretty out of the loop. Back when I did have a TV, which was back in the days when the WB was a big thing and ST:Voyager was in its last seasons. It seemed pretty glorified. If they have changed that now and the glorification of underaged sex is now absent, then I would say television has improved a bit since then. My overly outdated examples are Buffy the Vampire Slayer, where you had undersaged high school students going at it quite often and the only consequence that ever came about was Angel turing evil as a result of his night time adventures with Sara Michelle Gellar (one of my friends really liked the show and would tell me about it all the time, I never got into it myself). Dawson's Creek was another show that I remember getting a lot of flak for its depictions of glorified underaged sex. These are just two examples I can think of, I imagine if I was a rampant teen drama watcher I could give countless others, I only know these two because I watched some of Buffy with my friend and listened to him talk about it for countless hours, and the other because it was much talked about for that very reason. Perhaps these shows were the exeption. If these type of shows no longer exist and if every time an underage couple goes at it their lives fall apart (though that is a little bit extreme to the opposite side) then all the better I suppose. For some reason I have a hard time believeing that.

I am not even such a big fan of the X-Men comics, but I know the characters, they have been around a long time. They way they pissed on so many characters and brought characters, and made Wolverine and Storm the primary characters sucked. They hardly even notice Scott is gone, barely mention "hmm, I wonder where Scott is..." and then he is never even mentioned again. I am surprised he even got a grave at the funeral. I really liked the first two, but I had complained before of Cyclops treatment in two, since he was held captive off screen for the majority of the film. I was really hoping they would give him some decent screen time in the third one. Nope. Much like Spidey III, it felt like they tried to cram too many plot lines into one film, but yet there was no story structured around those plot lines, it felt rushed and thrown together. The first one may very well have been a near perfect comic book movie in my opinion. X-Men fans and non X-Men fans alike enjoyed it. The second one had flaws and many fans hated it, but I still enjoyed it. The third one was awful. Not even only based on the treatment of Cyclops, but as a whole. The editing at the end was pretty bad too.

Lol. What the hell did you think it was? I like the demonic red eyes, it sums up exactly how I feel about the ugly little bastards. Always staring, never blinking... shudder. Has anyone ever used this thing before me? I used to lurk here long before I registered, and I can't recall ever seeing it in use before.
Hmm, this could be the solution to fanediting a serious ROTJ. What if all the ewoks eyes were retroscoped to glow red while they are in battle? One minute: "Oh, what a cute little teddy bear"... and the next minute its eyes glow red and it shoot flames from its mouth! Instead of stormtroopers getting killed by little migit children inside gutted stuffed animals throwing rocks, we'll have these little demonic creatures running around throwing magical glowing orbs at the stormtroopers and burping flames at AT-STs. Whoa! With a little work, ROTJ could become a rival for ESB as the second best SW movie ever!!!! (That is of course after we figure out how to turn Jabba's palace into a massive disco joint, which would be sooooo much cooler than the Jazz club it is now. I mean, what kind of gangster owns a Jazz club??? It needs to be a disco or a techno, or a fancy high class resturant, never a jazz club... )

Yeah, that argument is just an easy way to cop out. Back during my years working in construction I have known illegal immigrants to have given lower bids on certian jobs than ligitimate citizens and as a result gotten the job. This is a perfect example of illegals getting jobs that would have otherwise gone to ligitmate citizens or even legal immigrants. There may be some pretty low jobs, but there are people for them someplace. Even if there aren't people that will do them other than illegal immigrants, do we really want something illegal to be the easy answer to the problem? If there are jobs that are so unpleasant nobody wants to do them, perhaps those jobs shouldn't exist. Also what makes it so certian that they wont reallize their pithy, unpleasant little job sucks a lot more than it has to and move on to become a painter with the ability to give lower bids on jobs than somebody who has a lot more expenses to worry about.
That whole nobody else wants the jobs they take is a bunch of bull, and just another way of saying, "Hey, its not my problem and I am not going to let it be my problem."
One thing that might help would be if we had more "sweat shops" where they could work in Mexico and earn a decent living ligitimately. A lot of people gasp at the word "sweat shop" yet we say we need them to move to America in order that they can do our unpleasant jobs that we think we are too good for. It would also be a good way to help out our neighbor's economy while slowing down the vast quantities of money we are throwing into the Chinese economy.
