This Pretty Much Sums the PT Up :)
Time
Wow, how had I never noticed that all four turtles are wearing red masks on the cover of that game before? I use to really like that game actually, I always thought the Arcade game was better, but I had still liked the first one. But just out of curiousity, how did we end up on the subject of Ninja Turtles? How exactly does a page that has the box art tiled as the background, and the words "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1 not the arcade game" sum up the PT?

Everytime I get a Metroid addiction I end up watching the Alien trilogy. Seriously, you could almost change the title at the opening of Alien to Metroid, and change every mention of "anthromorph" to "Metroid" and you would end up having a film adaption that is much more accurate than most video game to film adaptions. Only Samus wouldn't be in it. Okay, maybe the two are not exactly that close, but there are some pretty big similarities, and I find the eerie lonely feeling of the first Metroid games to be very much like the eerie lonely feeling of Alien/s/3. I find the two to compliment each other fantastically.

I would have said Lazenby, but he was just a one shot deal, and Connery got the role back after Lazenby, then ultimately lost it to Moore. I think Moore was the one Connery was competing with when he starred in Never Say Never Again *shudder*. So I figured Moore was the better choice. Neither one would make a very good Henry though.

I watched it and it is painfully funny. I have seen quite a few Rifftrax, but none of them really quite reached the quality of the old MST3K episodes IMHO, but the riff of the HS certainly does. It is one of the funniest things I've watched in a long time. I am really glad they decided to do the version with the commercials left in, they are some of the funniest parts. Actually makes me wish it had a lot more commercials than it does. Anybody else see this yet?

Yeah, there is no denying that some pretty terrible things have been done in the name of Christianity. But keep in mind, this is a corruption of religion, not an aspect of the religion itself. Jesus is the guy who rebuked Peter for cutting off the ear of one of the guys who came to arrest him (Peter was obviously aiming for the guys neck, but he must have ducked which resulted in him only loosing his ear as opposed to his entire head), and reattached it, then went to his death peacefully. This is the kind of behavior Christianity teaches. As for the old testament, no there are no orders for Jewish folowers to go out and kill people in the name of Yahweh. Though in the history sections of the Old Testament God instructs the Israelites to go to war, but these are historical accounts and are not telling followers of the Jewish faith to wage war. The Koran teaches to go to war for the sake of spreading Islam, which is why you see what you see today. At one point they had a powerful Empire with plenty of wealth and power to spread their teachings by the sword, now that Empire is gone and alternative methods must be used.

Hmm, I should pick up a copy of Zero Mission. I know it is just a remake of a game I have already beaten a million times, but it sounds like a really great remake. Not to mention it contains the original as a hidden bonus so I can beat it a million more times even while on the go. I really wish they had ported Super Metroid to the GBA, I'd drop some bucks on that without a second thought.

No, it didn't seem like he was trying to be funny. He probably just didn't notice that the promo shot was from before Empire Strikes Back came out. If I didn't stop and think about it for a bit, I probably wouldn't have even noticed that the clothes he was wearing were from the end ceremony sans the jacket. I would figure it out eventually, but without the jacket it is not as recongnizable.

On that site you posted, above the promo picture of Luke in his black shirt with Leia at his side the guy wrote the caption "I find this image interesting - Luke is inexplicable wearing Han's pants from Empire..."

I guess he doesn't realize they were Luke's pants from the end of Star Wars before they were Han's pants from Empire. LOL, these sentences probably sound funny for people from the UK. I guess you are use to hearing the American use of the word though.

Jeez dug, what is with all the conservative droning zombie talk? They must really have you under their spell man, you know none of those things really happen, it is all made up so the right can steal the worlds oil supply. Islam is a religion of peace, and global warming is a real threat. If you don't believe that then you are just heartless and uncaring and not fit to be called human.

Alright I bought a DS. The only game I have bought so far is Metroid Fusion (yeah, I know that is a GBA game. I have yet to buy a real DS game). Man, that game is really good! Since I bought the thing I have been spending way too much time on the toilet, but man, crapping has never been so much fun. It was happy to see Ridley make an appearance again, I was disappointed I beat him on the first try though, I actually kept switching the game off and reloading it so I could beat him again. His sounds effects were pretty surprising coming from those tiny DS speakers. I am at the SA-X now, I can beat her, but by the time she mutates my health is so low she wipes me out pretty quick. A few more tries and I'll get it. Great sequel to Super Metroid. I tried this game out once before and felt bogged down by all the reading that was required (not that I have anything against reading, I'm just used to my Metroid games being mostly action, and all the text really slowed things down), but that ends after you get just a short way into the game, and from then on it is all action with little bits of story here and there. I feel a Metroid kick coming on, maybe I will start seriously working my way through Prime next. I own it but it has been kind of like the book setting on your book shelf that you don't want to start until you know you'll have time to read it straight through over a relatively short period of time. I don't want to get half way through, then get too busy for it and have to come back months later. I hate doing that with games, and I have already managed to do that with Wind Waker.

Uh... dug, haven't you heard? Islam is a religion of peace! Of course he doesn't hate freedom, he loves it. But not for women, Jews, Christians or anyone fitting under the name of infidel. Too bad we have been persecuting the poor bastard, sounds like all of this could have been easily prevented.

Some people have a hard time grasping certian aspects of the Islamic religion. English translations of the Koran are readily available for free online and through the mail. In this day in age there is really no excuse for anyone halfway interested in being informed on the matter not to own one. It is a lot shorter than the Bible, if you read just a few sections of it a day you can finish it in a couple of months. Then you can decide if you believe Islam is a religion of peace or not.

EDIT: Sorry for the double post, meant to edit my previous post and paste this at the bottom but I forgot.

Ron Paul has a few good ideas, but he also wants to run away from Iraq, which I consider at least as important as economic issues.

Yeah, that has always been something that turned me away from him. Even the Democrates admit we cannot just run away at this point. That is something that struck me as merely a people pleaser aspect of Ron Paul. Has he ever addressed how that would work? It has always sounded to me that he had in mind just to pulling them out at the first possible chance.

It should be easy enough to convert that google video file to DVD. Oh, but I ignorantly forget that many people don't have DVD burners. This is certainly not the ideal method, but you should be able to play the avi with your video player, and play the mp3 and the same time with your audio player. A bit of pausing at the beginning ough to work to get it synced up well enough.

Oh, come on - Bush-supporting conservatives are far more guilty of jingoism than liberals. "Bush lied, people died" might be a slogan, but it has a lot more back-story and support for it than when the Bush administration says that Bin Laden "hates freedom." Bin Laden doesn't hate freedom; he hates that America has arguably persecuted his people. There is a big difference between often-repeated statements that are encapsulating an idea versus oversimplifying/distorting an idea.

For the record, I was accusing all idiots who don't bother to think for themselves, this includes the mindless Fox News group as much as it includes the mindless CNN, MSNBC, liberal bloggers, etc. group. The whole thing about Bin Laden's people being persecuted is of course the reason why he attacked America repeatedly, right? I guess we should have seen 9/11 as a reason to wake up and stop the persecution rather than a reason to retaliate. If this is the result of free thought, maybe it isn't such a good idea after all. At any rate saying things like "Bush-supporting conservatives are far more guilty of jingoism than liberals" is a kind of silly way of saying liberals are the ultimate free thinkers (and in general, I think they think they are, but so do the brain hunters on the conservative side). Global warming is excellent evidence to the liberal zombification. Can you honestly really feel one side is less guilty than the other? Both sides are just taking what they are given, it is all a bunch of regurgitation. Who really spends the time to try to see things for what they are, or to at least try to measure what they are given to see how well it really weights out? The answer is very few. But again, that is how it is suppose to work. If too many people question things it doesn't please the pigs (see Sean's sig for details).

Yeah, if I were him I think I would have flown in for the one scene in Indy 4. Even if it does end up being a stinker, it is an Indiana Jones movie, which gives it a massive amount of credit. It would have been a nice looking last credited appearance.

Wow! I can't believe this guys last full time acting job was over three years ago. So used to seeing him in so many movies. I just looked him up on IMDB, and he does the voice over in the From Russia with Love game, that is pretty cool, don't know if the game is any good though. Kind of cool one of his very last jobs was the role of James Bond, even if it was just a video game voice over. That is probably how they talked him into doing it, "Come on Mr. Connery, you don't want your final acting job to have been LXG do you?" "Fine, I'll do the voice over!"

And about Cheney I think Keith Olberman says it best "An unapologetic warmonger who has long been seeing a world visible only to himself". I can't see any mentally-stable person with a positive image of bush. I just want to see the way he tries to "Wags the dog" out of this one.

Groovy, just copy and paste that from the Democratic Underground?

No, Wikipedia. Seriously, I wrote that myself.

It doesn't matter if you wrote it youself, you are still copying and pasting thoughts and ideas, even if you are not copying and pasting the words themselves. But don't worry, that is exactly what you are suppose to do, you are fullfilling your function. Free thought it is a thing of the past, there will always be people who posses it, but they won't often get away with it. Ignorance is freedom.

Look at how nice it looks, no wires all over the place, then the crappy Dell, with its massive tower and the every annoying mess of cords.
