I think it’s weird how people bring up that Leia should have reacted harder to Obi-Wan’s sacrifice, just because we now know they share a history together. It’s because we all know that she had just watched her planet (and family) get destroyed, and she’s still leading the charge to escape the Death Star. She knows how to keep her emotions in check when it’s called for. Much more so than Luke can.

He’s hoping that moment is ancient history at that point, and is doing everything he can to keep Luke from reaching for the stars. He doesn’t want “Old Ben” coming around and making it even more difficult to keep Luke grounded and safe.

This could be a decent explanation for why she doesn’t react the way you think, especially after witnessing Alderaan’s destruction, which had only just happened before Obi-Wan sacrificed himself. She’s just a little better at coping than Luke is.

Are the alien subtitles for this and ROTJ:R going to be burned in, like on the 2020 Blu-Rays?

There have been some minor enhancements made for the 2020 Blu-Ray of ANH. I know that ANH:R HD will be a mixture of the 2011 and 2020 Blu-Rays, but will you be using the latter for most of these shots?

I’ve heard varying opinions on which of the two actors they prefer to be Anakin’s Force Ghost at the end of Return of the Jedi. Personally, I don’t really care who it is. What about the rest of you? Do you prefer Sebastian Shaw, or Hayden Christensen? Which makes more sense to you? Please explain why.

That’s what I did for the quick encode that donors have received. It worked quite well

He already did. ESB:R was originally made and released at 720p, but he used Topaz to upscale it to 1080p.

In that sample clip you provided, there is one frame of Kirby that came from the PAL DVD. What are you going to about that and other missing frames from the film print? The PAL and NTSC DVDs were obviously cropped, and it looks too jarring and inconsistent to watch a movie and see a cropped frame from another source suddenly pop up.

What will this “New Boba Fett death” be?

I don’t understand what the point was of Lucas adding that Dugg walking down the stairs in Jabba’s Palace. It was only for two seconds. Maybe it was to add something to an otherwise empty space?

The official Blu-Ray menus are terrible. Just cheap looking. So the menus on the Revisited blu-rays will look nothing like them

Partly because only a handful would want to download a 50gb file, (hell, i get complaints that an 8gb file takes too long for people to download) but also online storage to enable people to freely download is a major issue. I want to keep the video as high quality as possible. I ahve the ability now to encode a DTS-MA audio file, but the size is just under 5gb. That really eats into available space to fit on a BD-25.

I wouldn’t mind a larger file to fit on a BD-50 as an alternative.

There is no delay in the stormtooper voice in ANH:R. I think you are mistaking it with the “Ronto removal” clip i posted a few years back showing the HD version. All the sample clips i post of the HD version use a temp audio track, usually the 80’s stereo mix, which had a delay in the voice for some reason.
