Episode III Revenge of the Sith Grade B
Pros: General Grievous (awesome character) not sure what is up with the coughing?

Not to get off topic or anything, but in response to this I assume the coughing was to make it obvious that he was a cyborg rather than a droid, the same reason I believe they show that extreme close-up of his eyes just before his fight with Obi-Wan.

well they could get right close towards the climax in the tower, as all hell is breaking loose anyway.

as oppose to a fighter, why not a burning star destroyer crashing into the surface of the DS (aka force unleashed trailer), maybe as it crashes down, the tower shakes and at allows for luke to charge vader.

bits could then fall from the ceiling, and more sparks would fly. it would parallel ROTS with events happening on geonosis that directly intereact with the duel, like when the shields get disabled on the platforms?

I think you mean Mustafar :P

But all nitpicking aside, that sounds like a cool idea. Certainly not necessary, but would add a bit more worry for Luke's safety as it reminds the viewer that the station he is in is under attack.

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION

Just thought I'd jump on and rave a little bit. I upgraded to a 52" HDTV over the weekend and popped in the single layer version of Revisited to see how it looked and if I'd notice the compression.

Even with the SL version playing on my standard, non-upscaling DVD player, it looks absolutely gorgeous!

Indeed you are powerful.

Star Wars: One Death Star to Rule Them All (6 become 1) (* unfinished project *)

It won't be done for some time, due to my nearly non-existant free time. I haven't really touched it since October.

However, my lack of time has increased my resolve to see it through to the end, since it would be a good way to have a Star Wars marathon without taking up 12 hours.

As stated before, I do have most of ANH and TPM chopped up and ready to be stitched together.

Well, it seems that this project is going to take a lot longer than I had hoped. I just got a new job which pays a lot more than my old one, but unfortunately I will be working about 13 hours a day, 5 days a week. This will leave me a lot less time for my family, let alone any extra projects such as this. I will continue to work on it when I have time, but I suddenly have about 25 hours less free time per week.

The sad part is IF on the off chance Lucasfilm actually fixes their masters for a Blu-ray release, they have the legal right to completely rip off everything Adywan did and have ILM copy it in HD without giving Ady any credit for his hard work, and the general public will praise Lucasfilm for doing it.

OK I was playing some time ago that "what if Luke didn't destroy the Death Star, just damaged it and what if in E6 they were only repairing it ? ".

I'm curious to see your final product

That sounds like a good and interesting idea; I'd probably try that if I was going for a trilogy or something like that.

However, since I'm aiming for just one movie in the end I only want one Death Star battle (otherwise it may seem redundant and also just too long of a movie.) I may use some of the awesome dogfight footage from Adywan's ANH Revisited as long as it doesn't look too out of place intercutting with ROTJ footage.

In a multiple movie setup a second DS battle makes sense, because if you have an awesome weapon of doom and it gets destroyed or damaged, what would you do? Look for flaws in the original design and then rebuild/repair it, of course! But that just doesn't fit with my aim in this particular project.

The reason the conversation halves were reversed in the actualy real Chew-Hirsh-Lucas edit was because it emotionally seemed weird that after hearing the dire, grave plea from Leia that all of a sudden Obi Wan starts reminiscing about the Jedi and gives Luke this big lesson about what a lightsaber is and then goes on about his father's murder.

That quote was from TFN. Honestly, if you think about it does it really make any MORE sense the way it was in the official version? In that version, they sit around and chit-chat while the whole time there's this mystery looming over them as to why this droid claims to be Obi-Wan's and who the girl is in this message that's pleading for Obi-Wan's help when apparently VERY few people knew that he was even still alive.

If anything I think Adywan's edit makes more sense. They hear the message (which mentions the Clone Wars), Luke then asks about the Clone Wars which gives Obi-Wan an opportunity to direct the following conversation as he sees fit to get Luke's blood pumping to try to get him to come with.

Star Wars: One Death Star to Rule Them All (6 become 1) (* unfinished project *)

Too early to say right now. I'm hoping no more than a couple months. I'm kept pretty busy between work and my 1 1/2 year old daughter, but I've gotten through about 45 minutes of hopefully finished video.

I'm not doing anything too wild on the sound side: I'm not replacing much for music or anything (although since I'm doing my editing at night when the daughter's sleeping, the volume is kept kinda low on the puter so I'll need to sit down and watch the rough cut with the sound cranked to make sure there are no jarring audio jumps during any cuts)

Right now I have about 27 min of ANH (which I may need to trim a bit more if this gets too long) which then transitions into a flashback of TPM: I'm about halfway through TPM and have it cut down to around 20 min.

So far the opening crawl is gone (I could leave the one from ANH intact, but I really don't think it's necessary as all the story is explained within the films,) the trip to Otoh Gunga and the podrace are cut from TPM, along with most of Jar-Jar's antics (bet no one saw THAT coming.) I really do like TPM as a whole, but these parts just weren't important. I'll leave Anakin's involvement in the final battle of TPM intact to show that the force is truly with him and that he was already a great pilot (however he will not be saying "oops" - in my cut he knows what he's doing), but the Gungan involvement will be gone. It will be a battle in the city, and the pilots go to take out the Nemoidian ship. Also, Anakin is not a slave. He works in Watto's shop, and when the Jedi come to Tatooine they just happen to stop there, Anakin offers them shelter from the storm and, feeling his strength in the force, offer him a place among the Jedi. I wanted to cut either the podrace or the space battle at the end, and it seems to me the podrace is less important and it will be easier to remove.

I'm not sure exactly what from other movies will be cut yet, but I've made up my mind on the Death Star battle.

I want to post a clip soon showing the first part of the TPM flashback and its transition from ANH. I just need to convert and upload it.
