As for a change in the Anthem, Jerusalem was mentioned, the only problem I see with that is that it is named after a city that is not in the UK. Jerusalem is in Israel. That is like America using an Anthem named “Paris”. It seems odd to me.

‘Jerusalem’ the poem (set to music) isn’t literally about the actual city of Jerusalem, it’s about England.

In fact it’s specifically about Jerusalem not being in England 😄 It’s a warning about not being complacent and too nationalistic and it’s sung frequently by people who are complacently nationalistic.

"The poem was inspired by the apocryphal story that a young Jesus, accompanied by Joseph of Arimathea, a tin merchant, travelled to what is now England and visited Glastonbury during his unknown years.[2][3] The poem’s theme is linked to the Book of Revelation (3:12 and 21:2) describing a Second Coming, wherein Jesus establishes a New Jerusalem. The Christian church in general, and the English Church in particular, has long used Jerusalem as a metaphor for Heaven, a place of universal love and peace.[a]

In the most common interpretation of the poem, Blake implies that a visit by Jesus would briefly create heaven in England, in contrast to the “dark Satanic Mills” of the Industrial Revolution. Blake’s poem asks four questions rather than asserting the historical truth of Christ’s visit. Thus the poem merely implies that there may, or may not, have been a divine visit, when there was briefly heaven in England"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/And_did_those_feet_in_ancient_time

The poem clearly asks if Jesus walked in England. The answer being no. The point being that England is not particularly worthy of regard and has to strive to be worthy of a holy visitation. It is frequently sung by people who don’t get this really simple message.

RE: Starting point for Luke.
Luke ran off to ‘save’ Han, Leia etc and ended up minus an hand and needing saving himself.
It makes sense he would go straight back to Dagobah fulfill his promise to his Master who was justified in urging caution and get answers for the Vader being his father thing.
It also makes sense for Leia to be as reckless as any other Skywalker and rush in, get herself captured and need rescuing from the now fully trained Jedi Knight.

I’m now the volunteer coordinator for a charity that challenges inequality and hate crime. It’s part time work but it’s a good cause. Next week will be weird because I will be doing the new job but also attending the AGM for the old job and talking about how good that was, despite the charity not getting their finger out and getting the funding to continue in time.
Everyone at my new job has made me feel welcome but they are really in need of cash. There is very little space and computer equipment etc is ancient. I wish I could win the lottery and help them out.

According to the EU (I know, I know) the gas giant Endor has nine moons. The mining operation could take place on one or more of these moons, and we could see a partially destroyed moon passing in front of Endor prime in one shot. There’s some potential here for striking imagery, ala Avatar:
Endor and its moons

I think planet Endor looks way too big.
Jupiter view from Europa in a video by a NASA scientist at 2.44:
https://www.space.com/28705-how-to-live-on-europa.html
Europa distance from Jupiter is less 700000 km.
Ganymede is over 1 million.
Callisto 1,8 million km
So there is no need that the planet should fill the whole screen

Clearly if this is a moon, a planet must be near by, but not necessarily too close, so when the rebel fleet arrives, it should not draw the attention of the viewers. I think.
Unless it is Space 1999, with a moon on the lose. Then there is no planet 😉

Yavin IV is an example of a Rebel base on a moon with a gas giant dominating the sky. I have no problem with Endor being it’s dark twin. As long as the colours are different and the base is cold and sterile and an ugly affront to nature to contrast with the crumbling temples that the Rebels chose I have no problem with Endor Prime filling the sky.

  1. Even ignoring the PT, many people have complained that DS2 was nearing completion in too short a time, so I thought that a less completed version might mitigate that complaint.

Once you know how to design/build something, it would more than likely take a much shorter time to do it again.

Was about to say the same.
Plus you already have experience, you know the flaws, you know what to correct etc…
I would build the same, but better.

An Empire had to start growing, and because of that, the research still being done, and all of the production delays, it took a whole 19 years for the Death Star I to be fully finished. It only took 4 years for the Death Star II to be built because by then, the Empire was in full power.

And it sounds like the book canon says that they finished the superstructure years ago, it just took them a decade to make the weapon work. Now that they know how to do that, they just have to mount the weapon on a frame and hook it up to a reactor.

Near the opening of Rogue One is where they added the dish onto it, which was the finishing touch.

And yet in Revenge of the Sith we see them building the dish as part of the frame of the station. Maybe it got broked up 😄

Here’s doubleofive’s old list of wanted ROTJ changes if anyone wants to take a look.

https://web.archive.org/web/20140927233237/http://doubleofive.wordpress.com:80/rotj-fanedit-wishlist/

Wow… that is an exhaustive list! There are some really great ideas in there! I’m especially impressed with all of the continuity and effects suggestions. Some suggestions seem a bit on the impossible side, but the majority of the list is actionable. I thought that some (like having burning DS2 debris replace the fireworks) were downright inspired.

I don’t know the exact relationship between Ady and 005, but I’m assuming that Ady’s aware of all these requests and the don’t need repeating?

I’m so glad that something of the list still exists. I’m not sure in the light of the sequel trilogy ideas like having two Death Stars at Endor would play out. If Kyber is essential to Death Star building it would explain why they had to use something else to do the same job in episode 7.

Reverting Boba’s voice to the new version wouldn’t be that hard to do if you want to “personalize” your own ESB:R (both interpretations are good but the original one is far more sinister).
Since Ady is no longer willing to do PT:R I guess we won’t see Temuera Morrison’s face when Boba is seducing the cute dancers.

A) Accents being genetically determined is silly.
B) His helmet isn’t transparent I assume he would like to not like to sound the same out of his disguise as he does in his disguise. I speculated for a while that there may have been a woman in that outfit. Then Leia pinched my idea 😄 (honestly I thought it was Luke’s mum around 1981 for a weird few months)

But yeah better Fett voice is here to stay so if you want to change it back do your own versions.

More than likely it was just intended it to be one big planetary shield, and it just wasn’t shown correctly with the rebel hologram. You could still have a shield gate for access to Endor.

I doubt that.
The Rebels on Hoth used their shield to repel bombardment and complicate a land assault but it only covered a small section of the planet. It was a make-shift affair and the Empire had more resources but the shield was designed to protect the station and the generator base itself I doubt it would be feasible for them to extend the shield around the whole planet as well. The construction site is huge as it is. Extending many miles into the atmosphere and surrounding a station the size of a moon.

And we don’t know what kind of punishment he got between movies for thinking like that.

I like the effect. It shows Vader dropping his guard and proving to the Emperor that Vader has become a dangerous liability and not just old and weak. You also get a sense of his evil courtiers and Vader being part of constantly bickering clique only held together by Palpatine’s bloated ego. Any one of them could be a Snoke but he has them all tethered and resentful. Such is politics 😆
