I honestly didn’t notice the time watching this film. I do lots of binge watching of television so I could probably sit through Solaris and stay awake now 😅
Perhaps changing one line from Vader to “Don’t be too proud of this technological terror we have constructed”. That way it acknowledges the empty chair at the table without naming him and acts as a warning for Motti to ignore.

Blade Runner 2049. It’s really good. Teal and Tangerine is really annoying though and I would have trimmed one scene a little but other than that utterly amazing. Proof if proof be need be that any sequel to a Scott film needs a good writer more than it needs a good visualist. But the visuals are astounding too. I’d give it all the balls but demand the teal and tangerine ones back.
Man I hated that British dialect from the beginning of Rogue One, I don’t know who that guy was. Took me right out of the movie. Was it Scottish or whatever. I’m talking about the guy who Cassian meets in the streets.
Daniel Mays is from Essex which makes him even less Scottish than David Prowse 😄

Considering all the stuff Kirk got up to STD is the obvious outcome. STI was all about older people stretching their skin and getting laid so I guess that made sense too.
Not so much an improvement but something I would like to experience as a curio would be having the unused musical cues put back and properly timed to match the scenes.
Don’t get me wrong the opening of the Vader/Luke duel works really well without the score but the unused score for the scene is referenced in the score for the cave scene, this is emphasised by the angled shapes of the corridor at the back of the cave which is similar to the cloud city chamber later referenced in TFA so I’d like to see a version with those cues returned but it might not actually improve anything.

The Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern movie is ripe… With potential. The opening monologue could be spliced into Obi wan explaining Anakin, the death Star could be powered by harnessing the powers of parallax. He could survive to be snoke. Luke could dimly remember his father being an American fighter pilot.
Apparently, an earlier script of RotJ had Vader as the other. That would have been a perfect way to wrap things up.

I don’t think I agree with any of the camo-trooper talk here. I mean we didn’t really see any sand camo-troopers on tatooine, or snow camo-troopers on Ho…oh, never mind.
But in all seriousness, why make any of them camoflouged just because you can. I mean, isn’t that the kind of stuff most of you guys here hate about the SE, that Lucas just added crap because he could. Updating SFX, and correcting continuity errors etc. is one thing, but adding stuff to the movie just to cram it in there is superfluous IMHO.
It turns out, some people are okay with “special editions” after all, as long as it’s them shoving in the extra CGI density.
The prime issue people have with the many official special editions are they are now the only versions we can legally buy on current standard equipment. The most current versions are the only official ones. The other problem is that as special editions all of them have problems like adding vulgar jarring visuals and creating new continuity problems. Reconstructions like Harmy’s address the first problem. Edits like Ady’s address the second.
Camouflage for the droids makes sense. The rebels camouflage themselves and then bring a gold reflective fusspot with lamps for eyes.
