i would agree on having them meet on dagoba, far more simple, plus i can imagine a really nice matte of the blockade runner and naboo ship facing each other, its almost like a 'passing the torch shot'.

the tantive IV is far more interesting visally than the naboo craft in my eyes, so i would prefer to see it entering the clouds, but it may make more sense to be following the naboo craft and have the tantive IV there waiting.

something to add to the PT:R request list would be have the tantive IV changed to match the OT colours, but its not vital.

Oh! ben_danger, I think the close up of the button pushing is a great start to making these movies FEEL like the OT. Yes, of course, it's Luke's hand, but I think you're suggesting we FILM hands pushing buttons and whatnot...right?

right!;)

I thought I should let you all know that I've started a very rough edit of these few scenes. The question I have is: If the tantive does indeed have this medical station onboard WHY do they need to land on dagobah? Earlier in the film Obiwan meets up with Bail and Yoda somewhere in space...why not just do that again? One solution I've come up with is that the droid tells them something like: "We need to land somewhere nearby to make a safe delivery." I don't know...what do you guys think?

I never liked how Yoda gave up so quickly fighting Palpatine

move the "Into exile I must go!" line to later on and this might help as a transition from them being in space to being on Dagobah

(crap 18.00) I wont be able to say any more till tomorrow (damn iPhone not letting me post on here)

let me know what you think SSWR

Here are a couple of mockups showing Bail Organa's ship landing on Dagobah.

This would serve two purposes, now Yoda doesn't have to hide his escape pod in the swamp (he just walks down the ramp) and it explains why Luke finds the place so familiar (he was born there and not on some fancy asteroid base in the middle of nowhere):

Tantive Arrives

Tantive lands

YES YES YES

I was doing a total WTF moment when I watched RotS for the first time, I think I even said "where the hell is Dagobah?" out loud

This NEEDS to happen, ADY if your reading this write this in blood on the nearest wall, LOL this is the one thing in RotS:R that absolutly must happen!!!

while the prequals were being made I always thought that Padme would die in the cave. & Certainly not in some random asteroid belt

Introduce grievous in the shadows of the arena

(As confirmed in a video on the StarWars.com Hyperspace section, a deleted scene involved the Jedi battling the droid army on Geonosis, with the droids all powered down (just as they did in The Phantom Menace after the Trade Federation ship was destroyed). This was part of an unused subplot involving Jedi Master Plo Koon infiltrating the Trade Federation ship and destroying it. Dooku had planned for this and found an alternate way to power up the droid army.)

is there anyone out there who would have a decent copy of this scene

Thought this video might stir up a few things ;)

It's rough but what do ya think?

-Tried making Anakin a likable guy.

-I've removed the first part of the Palpy office scene thinking (*IF* it should even be used) it could be moved to later in the film.

-Oh! And why the hell does Palpy have to be behind EVERY plot point?! I've removed any sort of reference to that.

-I still don't know what to do with the Jedi and Padme conversation...

Just had a thought, now that the scene of yoda looking at Palps with the "what you up to?" look

put it later on when they are discussing the emergency powers amendment in his office

For the most part I love it, but the bit at the begining where they are suddenly at Palps office is a little jarring but apart from that it looks great,

I hate that I can't view any of your clips on my iPhone (or reply to any of the comments for that matter)

another vid, to follow the idea of a 'not interested in padme' anakin. i think he should grow to her as she does to him. the scene wil hopefully make him seem loyal to jedi ideals, although it does seem a bit lifeless. ive HEAVILY editted the dialogue, added some inflections that will hopefully allow it to flow differently. just wish it was a bit longer.

also theres colour correction, and anakin has a deeper voice! attempted to add some inflection to padme's 'are you not allowed to love?' as if she is after him.

music is luke and leias theme from ROTJ, and sound from a sushi bar.

Now this I like a lot, it seems SOO much more natural.

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

The difference in the 2 trilogies is really apparent in this scene

in the OT the actors had to "ACT" out a scene and rely on very little in the way of special effects to get the point across

in the PT the actors were almost superfluous to all the whizz bang special effects that dragged what little plot was available

Imagine Luke flying toward a giant top to rescue his friends. It is weird and bizzare, and Luke doesn't even seem to notice. It is symbolic of how the mysteries that cover his earily childhood and origins are about to start to fad away and his life is about to be turned upside down. I think this scene absolutely NEEDS to be kept this way. All the other Cloud City bits should be the real Cloud City of course, but for Luke's approach it HAS to be the top. Seriously, if you don't make this change your edit is going to suck and I am not even going to bother watching it. I BEG you Adyway, I BEG you! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE seriously consider going with this idea. I think it will improve the movie in ways you can't POSSIBLY IMAGINE! Now go Adywan, go and do what MUST be done!

Do you want me to slap you now, or shall I wait 30 seconds ;-)

truth be told I like the cockpit scene as is as well, but i like the 'idea' of the hologram as an alternative option

Thanks bingo thats a good start

I have it in my head that this thing in monsterous & that its tenticles are reaching for the sail barge where Jabbas goons are on the top deck batting it away as it tries to pull them all in, all the while jabba is laughing at its hunger,

then when Luke & co blow up the barge in crashes into the beasts maw

(now obviously when the droids fall out this causes a problem but meh what ya gonna do!)
