Give it up, George. People aren't going to revere the PT as they do the OT. One trilogy is classic (despite your efforts to mold it into "your own" and erase others' handprints) while the other is just a mish mash of CGI and awful writing.

I agree. Even though I feel tempted now to buy the full saga, I think discs 7 and 8 should be available on their respective trilogies.

Sadly, this confirms that those clips are took from BD. Why is it sad? Well, I checked all pictures from OT SE and sadly, color timing is almost unchanged from 2004 DVDs and lightsabres (except for ROTJ crossed sabers) are not fixed.

I wouldn't say that. How many saber shots do we see on the site? Not many, and as far as colour timing goes, there is a clear difference from the 2004 versions. Unfortunately, TESB duel is missing (since it's one of the most serious cases regarding lightsabers).

I don't know if any of you know about this site, but it has some Blu-ray clips (although in small res).

Anyway, this shot for example, shows Tantive IV with its original white corridors. This set is looking more and more interesting to me, specially with the latest news that had been surfacing.

It looks good.

I had made the mistake of connecting the 'you' referred to by twooffour to 'you' the Alexrd who took up the opposing end of the discussion at that point.  So while you did not say that most people here were bashers... you were providing counterpoint to someone who said they weren't.

I see now. Had forgotten it was directed to Darth Bizarro.

Though, after having quoted this same passage of yours several times now... Some members can't help it?  I can only imagine I'm one of these members... but I'm not sure what it is I can't help...  ???  Is the idea that I'm trying not to dislike the prequels, or, at least, trying to not post about it, but that every so often (or very often, perhaps) it comes bursting from me like some kind of uncontrollable PT hating form of tourette's?

Can't help but to talk search and delve into something they claim to hate (it just seems counterproductive, to me). I wouldn't say you specifically, but if I had to say any names, the OP would be one of them.

Not sure how long you have posted at TFN, but they pretty much ran every OOT fan off the site after Episode III.  They had a whole forum called 'The Bashers Sanctuary' where fans could talk about their problems with the PT and that way we would stay out of the PT threads so it wouldn't get too heated.  They closed that in 2006 during the release of the OOT DVD's, and thats when all hell broke loose.

I am one of them as I got permabanned there for arguing with many PT fans during the 06 OOT Non-Anamorphic Release.

So I went back at them, and it got heated, and I was permabanned there, yet the PT fans who argued with me were still posting.  After that there was a huge effort to rid of any OOT fan, as most of us left there for OT.com or Outerrimsieges.com. 

The sad thing is at one time it was a pretty good site as it had a good combo of PT fans and OOT fans, and there was alot of good threads.  Then they tilted to the PT fans and ran all the OOT fans off, and the site is an utter joke these days.

Maybe I'm being misunderstood here, but I'm not defending TF.N.

Or at least in equal number.  True- there aren't a lot of gushers here, yourself excluded... but the site is called "OriginalTrilogy" and seems to not attact people who are PT or "saga" minded.

Well, I think this site is focused on the restoration of the OOT, not on disliking the PT. The fact that I (and certainly others) like or don't mind the PT and the SE, doesn't mean we don't want the OOT to be properly restored and released.

The purpose of this thread is laughable and incomprehensible. Why would someone who hates the prequels, go to TF.N, specifically to the PT forum, and see how some users comment about those films? And then say those comments are "excuses for how bad the prequels are", as if that was some kind of fact.
