Is there a 'likes' category? If yes, count me in, if not, just ignore my post.

You pre-ordered the set?
What. The. Fuck.
I'm as surprised as you are.

It really sucks that this is what fandom has devolved into. It seems like everyone is either a total hater or a total gusher and it really sucks to be floating in the middle drifting back and forth like a plastic bag in the wind from TFN to OT.com helplessly trying to find a place to fit in as the polarized world of Star Wars fandom rips itself in two.
Well said.

And how many of them are finished. (We know from the Watto shot that some of them are not.)
What Watto shot? What have i missed?
That menu video shows a unfinished shot of Watto when you have selected the 'deleted/extended scene' section.

Star Wars BD: D7 - Extended Scenes Ep 1-3 - [46:10]
Star Wars BD: D8 - Extended Scenes Ep 4-6 (Part 1) - [27:48]
Star Wars BD: D8 - Extended Scenes Ep 4-6 (Part 2) - [19:33]45min of deleted scenes for each trilogy? I thought it was for the whole saga. If those are in HD, I might consider buying the saga boxset.
What i want to know i, why is are the deleted/ extended scenes for the OT split into two? And i wonder just how much of this runtime will include introductions about why they were deleted
And how many of them are finished. (We know from the Watto shot that some of them are not.)

It wasn't until later, when George Lucas started the "No OT for you!" thing that I started to dislike and resent aspects of the SEs.
^This
I don't understand that. I dislike Lucas' attitude of not releasing the OOT, but that doesn't stop me from liking some changes of the SE.

From "topic" to "I still hate the prequals" in less than one post.
That has to be a new record, even for us.
Unless, to be fair, "I hate the prequals" WAS the real topic, and the thread title was a clever ruse.
My thoughts exactly. It's sad...
ANH:
- Speeder entering Mos Eisley (some shots)
- Falcon leaving Mos Eisley (probably my favourite)
- Falcon approaching Yavin
- Death Star battle
TESB:
- Wampa
- Cloud City
RotJ:
- Bantha herd
- Sarlacc
- Death Star II explosion
- The ending

look at Obi-wan fighting Jango in the language selection, then compare it to the scene... really?
Look at Luke training in the Falcon in the Extras DVD and then compare it to the scene.
Really.
I guess it's a Star Wars trait. The DVD menus were great, and there was nothing like them on DVD.

To each his own.
It's less blue, from what I can see.

The colours of ESB still look pretty screwed.
Specially the Luke close-up shot. Ugh, are they blind or something?

"Q: Is there more monkeying around?"
That's actually a good question. Anyway, it was a wasted oportunity. Nobody from ILM said anything (that we know of).
Can someone clarify if this is kenkraly?

In additional SW on BD news, our friend Kenny K. got the following information from a Lucasfilm e-mail:
"Industrial Light and Magic did go in and make many technicalimprovements, most notably color matching on select lightsabers shots."

You don't need a crystal ball. You know it's going to suck based on the PT and crystal skull. The success of a film is based on who makes it.
Right...

Sadly, this film will eventually be considered one of the worst films of 2012, if not this decade.
Could you lend me your crystal ball? ;-)

Although, what I find curious is that it is documented that there were digital projections of TPM in 99, so why didn't they use the digital copy made for those projections for the DVD?
I had the same question myself.

Now the SE lovers are about to get the same treatment us OOT lovers received - the least amount of effort possible.
Not to mention the lovers of both versions: double dissapointment.

Obviously, the new transfer was not made just to get rif of the pink tint. The movie needed it.
So did the OT, not to mention the OOT.
I know. But I'm talking about TPM.
