That Y-Wing could be Leia's as she used it in the early EU stories as well. Also if Chewie and Lando came in the Falcon and Luke by X-Wing. But since it's deleted, we can assume Leia came with Falcon, too. :)

I don't think that's possible, since Leia stays with Luke at the end of TESB.

And Chewie stays with Lando, so what's your point here?

My point is that Leia didn't come with the Falcon.

I don't understand you, people. We all KNEW they are using the 2004 master, so why are you surprised ?

Some people here, myself included, had a small hope that they were not using the 2004 versions. Until this there was no proof that they were using it. Heck, even the 2004 DVD's chapter selection used the '97 SE footage. Who would say they were not doing the same with the iPad app and the rest?

what are you sourcing from? i heard the dvd movie had a just  one channel for music, which would be handy if the series was the same.

I’m using the Blu Rays.  So far the primary dialogue and sound effects are on the center channel with the music and secondary sound effect on the right and left channels.

Wait. The Blu-Rays have the music and sound effects separated? As in, one in each channel?

So much better than anything in the prequels.

I think that's a very exaggerated remark.

I think it's spot on and I've heard it from multiple people.

That doesn't make it less exaggerated.

But it is just a trailer. It doesn't have to or try to tell a real story or have character development or any depth.

This.

In what parallel dimension is that then? Cos I've been in 1189998819991197253 of them and our version of the phantom menace doesn't seem to conform to the standards of a 'Good story' or being classed as 'well told'

I think it's safe to say with 100.99% certainty that Easterhay is a dyed-in-the-wool PT gusher/Lucas sycophant.

I think it's ironic how one is mocked for giving his own opinion about a movie and then some users here complain about how they are mocked on other websites/forums, while they do the same here.

I really find it sad.

Being okay with the prequels and the SE?

Because I know the talking points he is arguing with, as I heard them a ZILLION times when I used to post at TFN.   If you want, I can list the usual tagline arguments I used to hear at TFN.

And as I said earlier, I don't mind someone who disagrees with me (as long as you have a valid argument, but I don't want to hear the usual BS I heard  talking point I heard over at TFN, "These versions are rough drafts."  Those people will believe any BS Lucas says, and repeat it in their posts.  If Lucas said he was inserting Jabba taking a shit in ROTJ, they would defend that too.  :)

I don't recall Lucas saying that, so it's not a matter of believing in Lucas or not. But even if it was, it is still his opinion. Someone is not a troll for having his own.

Indeed. I only said that because while reading other recents posts here, he gets accused of being a troll for that same reason. Or at least, that's how I perceived it.

He is a troll, because he keeps talking about that he isn't that heartbroken that Lucas isn't releasing the OOT.  Has he checked the name of the website?

Since when being heartbroken is a requirement for being on this site?

It would be like myself going to a place called 'ThePrequelTrilogyFanClub.com" and then start talking shit about the PT to all the members there, and wondering why everyone was mad at me?

Did he do that?

No.

I knew you'd take issue with TFNers having a "type." He's not being accused of being okay with the SE or prequels, there are plenty people here who have those views, including to some degree myself.

Indeed. I only said that because while reading other recents posts here, he gets accused of being a troll for that same reason. Or at least, that's how I perceived it.

Jedi Outcast

Jedi Academy

Knights of the Old Republic

Battlefront

Battlefront II

The Force Unleashed - Ultimate Sith Edition

Those were the ones I liked (all for PC). I regret not having played Shadows of the Empire, and I regret even more not being able to find it today...

P.S: I had Imperial Ace on my mobile. Good game, too.

But this thread is about the upcoming Star Wars BluRay release. And it's on originaltrilogy.com, a website that was created to lobby for the commercial release of the original trilogy. And the original trilogy isn't going to be on the upcoming BluRays. So if you or D_J or anyone else doesn't want to read fulmination about the exclusion of the OOT, then why bother even reading this thread on this website?

Since when this thread on this website is about the exclusion of the OOT? I thought, as the title indicates, it was about the Blu-ray boxset. People come to this thread to learn more info about it that other members find and post.

We're a bunch of original trilogy fans who just found out the original trilogy isn't coming out on the upcoming set;

Just found out? It was announced from the start.

what else do you expect us to talk about in a thread dedicated to the discussion of the BluRay release?

Maybe discuss the actual Blu-ray release.

Another mindless apologist. That is great some of you have the versions you really want, but why get annoyed at us for lifting our voices to protest the fact that we don't have ours?

My guess, and that's just my guess, is that he reads the same thing everywhere. The same way some people here get annoyed that some like the PT or even accept SE as they are (I don't include my self in this group).

I partially agree with dark_jedi. Everyone is free to write what they like, but every since day one, we knew this boxset was not going to have the OOT and yet I  assume half of these pages are about complaints about the lack of it (the other half is haljordan try to say the colours will be fixed). ;-)

It is sad that a once great filmaker and storyteller sold out and became a toys salesman.

Wasn't he selling toys back then, too? Wasn't that part of the movie advertisment?

Joined the Video dark side and whores out cgi.

No longer working with true craftsmen like traditional effects artists or even working with real film.

Different times, different tools. Just because something is new/different, doesn't make it bad. However, he still worked with what you call "true craftsmen" and "traditional effects artists" on the more recent movies.

I wouldn't write such a soft reply if someone said the same thing about me and my father.

Why would Ms. Lucas care what a small minority of SW fans think?  The internet is about 1% of the SW fanbase, and she is essentially talking to the fans here at OT.com.

She is talking to the one who made that comment. Unless "the fans here at OT.com" fit the description of haters who will end up buying the Blu-rays, which I don't think it's true.

Although I don't agree with her reply, I can't really blame her since it was the "hater" who went to her twitter to write that.

If it was me, I would write something along the lines of greenpenguino's post.
