But I don't really care as long as when she buys me movies she gets them in Widescreen, which she has been very good about doing. Christmas was a success in that regard. I didn't even have to remind her to get Serenity in widescreen.

Yeah, as long as they are happy, and you are happy, then I guess it's fine. But to think that anyone would want to watch the Star Wars films in foolscreen?

Will the players that play Blu-Ray or HD-DVD (I guess the war is still on) be able to play your standard disc/duel layer?

Like someone said, I don't want to have re-buy all my DVDs. I'm sure I'm not the only one!

And about the widescreen, I know what you mean. My grandmother and cousin are fullscreen all the way. I explain it, and they're like, "I hate the black lines blah blah blah it's stupid blah blah blah!" Even though most HDTV is widescreen, and with their fullscreen versions, they'll have the black bars on the sides of picture.

Yeah, I'm assuming they will, so that John Q. Public will be more willing to buy them. But still, I don't think people will or should buy all new copies of ALL of their movies. Some would be fine on regular DVD. But some, like the Star Wars films, are a requirement on Blu-Ray.

Will you be including anything about the Mara Jade theories?

Not sure. I may point out the female in Jabba's palace and mention that she was perhaps the inspiration/validation for Zahn's character Mara Jade. I tend to stay in the official SW universe though.

Not to start a canon debate, but Mara Jade IS in the official Star Wars universe. I suppose you were referring to the films only though.

Here in Belgium it is even allowed to show nudity (not to much but it is allowed) in kidsshows, so the censorship in the US is just ridicouless

Ive been to the Netherlands(Amsterdam) twice and was surprised the first time how liberal they were about sex and nudity on DVD etc and in general, they would never allow any nudity on kids tv here, and battlewars you cant beat good old violence in US films though Hong Kong films have at times surpassed them in violent content.

I think Bill Maher said it best: "In the US, the solution to everything seems to be either more shotguns or more Jesus."

Ideas For The T.V. Series

i think should they should make a cg series following luke, han, and leia in between the ot. they could get mark hamill and tony daniels. it would be neat as ive always loved the marvel comics and the comic strip that took place during that period

Yeah although for some reason cant imagine Harrison signing up for this - to me he doesnt hold that fondness for Star Wars like Anthoney Daniels or Mark Hamill does. To me Harrison Ford IS Star Wars. Although i could be wrong

Perfect solution: Shadows of the Empire mini-series.

Eyes wide shut is a small example in the US DVD nudity and sexual movements in certian scenes have been digitally censored, but the rest of the world "region" DVDs are the uncensored prints...

(sorry for the double post)

Shhh! Pat Robertson might be reading these posts! He might proclaim his wish to bomb Belgium for that!

Shadows of the Empire - a TV show idea?

This was one of the most fun Star Wars boks produced. And The Clone Wars era has been done to death! Why do they insist on doing MORE Clone Wars?!? With the ungodly amount of books, comics, games, etc that they have released from that era, don't you think they should put that era to rest? I mean, they have proved they can do cool OT-era animation with the Boba Fett segment from the holiday special. A SOTE animated mini-series I guarantee you would be a HUGE hit amnong not just fans, but the general public, since it would bring back the original characters in a very OT-style fun story. I have read a lot of posts from fans also on the OS and on TF.N who would like to se this done. I hope Lucasfilm takes a hint, as they have said that they read the internet to se what fans want.

And Jim Ward would be proud, as it would give Lucasfilm another chance to bring out the novel, comics, sountrack, and video game again.

What's the situation with Lucas saying he "forgot" to insert Temuerra Morrison's voice into the OT?

I think he's already gone on record saying in the OT, not all of the stormtroopers are clones, and certainly aren't all based off of Jango, given that he died some 25 years earlier. Given that the clones age at twice the rate, Jango's clones would be creaking around.

Unless they're making copies of copies, which could explain why OT stormtroopers aren't all that sharp compared to PT clonetroopers.

Plus, George actually is a fan of TROOPS. And we know those troopers weren't clones.

I don't put too much stock in it.

It's considered the canon explanation, unless Lucas changes his films.
