OK, I just "acquired" the original version of the first episode FOX aired episode (The Train Job) with the opening narration. It has Shephard Book explaining the basic premise of the show, with clips from the Serenity pilot. I can definately see Joss' logic in removing it, since he reallizes (unlike FOX) that his audience are much smarter than that, and can figure these things out on their own.

Well, of course, you have to understand that the audience had never seen Serenity, so the introduction makes perfect sense in that context. But, once again, that's Fox's fault for not airing it. But where did you find that? I'd love to see it!

I found the episode at this page linked to below. It has direct download links to all of the episodes in the way they originally aired on FOX, with the voiceovers and all:

Inserting deleted scene of Yoda's exile into ANH??

What would you have him do? Have Luke, etc. wandering around the Death Star, and then cut to a little musical number with Yoda on Dagobah, singing, "Stayin' Alive" just so you know that he's... alive?

Actually, there is a place where he would fit extremely well. After Alderaan is destroyed, Obi-Wan feels the disturbance, and sets down. A scene could be added directly before (or directly after) this moment, where Dagobah is once again established, and Yoda senses the destruction just as Obi-Wan does.

I dont like the idea of inserting Yoda in ANH..
Ive always felt yoda's entrance into the saga was so magical..and thats the THING about the OT ..Its 100% MOVIE MAGIC..and I feel thats something that cant be reproduced or forced into a movie, it just happens....You know the chills you get while watching legendary films in a montage, for me thats the OT, in its originality.
Since the prequels.. the struggle with making eveything flow and produce continuity kills some of the magic for me. I just enjoy the OT as the OT. It was perfect in my opinon before it was tweaked.

Starwars is so rare in the fact that most of the public accepts the fact that the Lucas can go in and change his film becux he isnt satisfied.. but MOST directors/writers/producers arent satisfied with their films but it would be a total sin to change a classic like Citizen Kane or Casablanca, granted starwars isnt equal on a acting scale as those films, but its a modern classic like those are classics..the OT are modern classics and in my opinion altering them in any way past upgrading the audio and clarity of the film is wrong.

That's exactly the problem, though. It's not "a trilogy" anymore. It's parts 4, 5, and 6 of a complete saga. Yoda is not introduced in ESB, he's introduced in TPM. Because of that, having him in ANH actually makes more sense, as it would let you know that yes, after 20 years, the old jedi is still around.

Changes you want (or don't want) to the 2007 archival editions

ok heres my 2 cents..
6 discs...
1 thru 3 prequels ...no changes on one side, flip the disc..updates and special features
4 thru 6 OT ...original star wars films on one side...special editions and special features

at least this way ..we have the OPTION to view starwars the way we enjoy it, and it might give the newer generation of fans a chance to view the OT unaltered.

Seems fair enough. If we have the original cuts of all six films on one side, and his ULTIMATE, SUPER-DUPER, ARCHIVAL, UNPRECEDENTED, UNPARALELLED, HOLY, COMPLETE, ETC. CUTS on the other side.

Sadly, I really don't think it's possible to stop it, even if Warbler was posting at this minute. Adam just posts too damned much for anyone to stop. I mean, everyone else in the top ten has been around quite a while. A lot of you have been here since the beginning. Adam's been here a little over six months, and he's already almost on the top ten. Sigh. If he hadn't been banned, he'd probably have overtaken everyone but motti and Bossk a couple of months ago.

IF YOU REMOVED ALL OF HIS EMOTICON AND ONE WORD POSTS HE WOULD HAVE LESS THAN ONE THOUSAND POSTS.

We could set a posting limit for him.
