Take some art/wallpaper while waiting for ESB:R :)

Thanks to my 3d max :D

... Unfortunately the perspective is wrong.

Oh, yeah. 3DSMax will surely make you a perfect theoric perspective view... But visually wrong.

Besides, following Adywan's idea in a recent post, I'd say you can't call every trick you show with the name of art... And perhaps I'm not good in English enough to give the tone showing how much this pisses me off too !!!

I don't see why que je ne vois pas pourquoi !...

Dans le doute tu peux toujours essayer de le zipper. Il faut dire qu' il risque de mettre un moment à le telecharger. Indeed I had problems with megaupload when I let the window visible... Just let it sleep in the toolbar and check it when you're sure it's done.

... Am I the only one who had this problem for an upload besides ?

Ady, I'm assuming that by "Star Wars concert" you're referring to the one with the video montages accompanying the music while being narrated by Anthony Daniels? If so, enjoy -- I saw it a few months back and loved it.

I know someone who saw it about 15 hours ago. He loved it too ;)

There seem to be parallels with Revisited and the original movie:

While filming in Norway, they encountered the worst winter storm in fifty years. Temperatures dropped to −20 °F (−28.9 °C), and 18 feet (5.5 m) of snow fell.[9] ... The production then moved to Elstree Studios in London on March 13,[12] ... A fire in January on Stage 3 (during filming of Stanley Kubrick's The Shining) caused the budget to spiral from $18.5 million to $22 million, and by July the budget spiraled $3 million more. Filming finished by mid-September.[12]

...

We have a back up plan that's similar. =D Although $3 million exceeds the budget for us by about... err... $3 million. ;)

I actually have a set diary for the OG ESB... I'm gonna have to read it now. Maybe it'll give some insight and inspiration. =D

And me my budget exceeded from about $60 or more. Fortunately it doesn't attract that much attention, then nor the same amount of invisible forces... (Though I begin to have some doubts on that).

That said, may the Force be with you ! ;)

Edit: btw, how to reach page 300 of this topic (for exemple) ?

J. Williams & LSO, The EMPIRE STRIKES BACK AUDIOPHILE EDITION - Restored & Remastered Score (Released)

I must say I love the alternate mix on "The Rebels Escape" with its louder layer, both are very good, but I think this one is the winner...

The most difficult part of the work is the final step: to choose the versions that fit the most together (and the more natural) in a way your eyes won't pop out from their orbit while listening to the score...

Among the many versions I have for "The Rebels Escape" actually, four of them are the winners and this alternate mix with louder layer, though it sounds quite good (and more !) as an isolated track, doesn't sound as natural as it seems next to the two lower layered mixes I have. It sounds a bit too much like if you listened to it through a huge horn or a seashell, notably because of the extension of the general echo through the RSO mix with its reverb superposed to the different way I found to retrieve/render somehow the "missing informations" on the film mix. All this is a question of tight equilibrium.

So from the samples, this is the most unsure track to be used as this in the set. But I don't know yet...

Just to let you know, "Escape from Bespin" will be finally used as it is in the samples (no question anymore of a further balance "correction") with the difference I plan to manage the invasive low hum in it's final segment.

... More samples to come soon...

Bravo !

PS: sorry guys ;)

... other wise I have the original one sheet in hi-res, if it is to any help.

I use to think I have the biggest and better high res pics findable, but as you already surprised me I'd be glad to check what you have ! :)

Besides I think the results of images search may vary depending on the country we're living in.

...

Here's another idea... If not a cover, may be the opening booklet page. I love that photo and have been able to find a high res version.

Well, I'm just sketching anyway and for now I still stick on my first idea with the executor so it fits with both the dynamic and power of the recovered sound ;)
