LOL. You just named 5 huge blockbuster movies. That's like telling a basketball fan "Other than coaching two different teams to championships, Phil Jackson hasn't done nothin!!" Not counting stuff like Willow and Labyrinth which didn't set the boxoffice world on fire, but were pretty decent flicks in their own right. Also not counting "Tucker" which was always a story he wanted to tell, and got to tell with Coppola.

You forgot Howard the Duck.

McCallum, on the other hand, gets his paycheck from Lucas, so it is a requirement that he kiss his ass in order to keep his job and get paid.

So, doesn't Lucas get his paycheck from us, the fans?

"A movie is not completed until it is released" - John Carpenter

The moment Star Wars was released in 1977, the public bought it. We own it. We deserve it. The way it was released in 1977. Lucas should thank his fans and release what we want/own. Then he can do what he wants with 'his' movies, I don't care. I think he is affraid to release the originals because he knows as well as us, they will out sell the SE's and PT by a mile, crushing his ego.

Was the Frankenstein Walk Shortened in ROTS DVD?
Time
Are you kidding? I wasn't at all impressed by the Dagobah scene, and the rebellion scenes were terribly acted. I hope they both stay cut.

I agree! Personally, I was dissappointed with ALL the deleted scenes. I was hoping for one of Yoda 'talkin' to Qui-Gon. I also think the '1138' easter egg is lame. Where is the blooper reel? I love all the other blooper reels and I was looking forward to seeing one for Sith.

So who's watching a copy of the Holiday Special today? (17th November)
Time
No, I watch it Xmas eve for that Christmasy feeling inside.

I don't watch it because of that sick feeling I get inside!

Movies I like to watch every Christmas...

Die Hard
A Christmas Story
Christmas Vacation
Elf
And Reservoir Dogs has become a Christmas movie for me because a TV station here in Toronto (Showcase) used to play it every Christmas Eve, for what ever reason. Now it is a holiday favorite of mine. Go figure.

Watching in order 1-6 is screwing up the original SW for newcomers!
Time
I thought that it was SO obvious that Palpatine / Sideous were the same guy, that it couldn't be true. I thought there was going to be some thing to do with the force that 'they would become one' or something like that. And that would tie in with why the Jedi, especially Obi-Wan, dissapear when they die. But, Lucas just chose the obvious. I have to admit that I knew it all along, but I was still dissappointed.

I think they should be viewed in this order...

IV, V, VI, III, II, I

That way you still get the impact of the 'mysterious' back story of Darth Vader / Anakin throughout all 6 films. Progressively the films get worse and worse, but is that not how sequels usually go? Then the huge dissappointment doesn't come untill the very end.

FURIOUS With Fox (Or) Why Does Canada Have To Suck?
Time
Hi all. Been a fan of this site since day 1.

I am also from Canada, and am really PO'd about the DVD spine. Now they look stupid on the shelf. Also, the colour is different than the first 2. Same for you Cassidy? If you find out how to get a replacement, please let me know.

Maybe some of our American friends can offer us a hi-res scan of the cover WITHOUT the french. (hint, hint)

I am sorry to start off my posting on such a sour note, but hey, you gotta start somewhere, right?

Oh, and does anyone else miss the blooper reel? I was looking forward to that. Instead we get hip-hop Yoda!
