Things that you have always wondered about...
Time
What's a helmut? Sort of like a diabolical dog from the underworld?

Oops on that spelling error!

As for the AT-AT and speeders flying at them from the front, I thought of that as well, but assumed they were trying to slow them down to have more time to evacuate. (I know, pretty lame)

I also assumed Leia was tortured the same as Han, or that just Han was tortured for shooting at Vader. Chewie because, he is a wookie?

Maybe they have to deactivate the shield because it is really big and they are landing so close to it?

Things that you have always wondered about...

Ever since I was a kid, there are things that I have always thought about in the Star Wars movies. For example,

1. How does Darth Vader eat? ("Help me take this mask off." "But you'll die.")
2. When Luke is leaving Dagobah, how does
a. R2 get into the X-wing? (Please don't say he uses his booster rocket things)
b. after Luke climbs into the ship, where does the ladder go?
3. "Only Imperial Stormtrooper are so precise." If that is the case, why can't they hit anyone? By the time ANH comes around are they cloned from SE Greedo?

Now, these are just a few things. I am not trying to open up some big debates here. I'm not looking for any EU answers, I thought I would just share them. Does anyone have any to add?

After seeing Star Wars SE, I remember getting up to leave, and a fews seats over, there was a father and son. The son, maybe 7 years old turned to dad and said, "that was the best movie ever!" That made me feel pretty good. It reminded me of when I was 4 years old and my dad took me to see Star Wars for the first time. Star Wars was, and still is HUGE with the kids. Pretty cool after almost 30 years.

who misses the prequels?
Time
First I'd like to say that I enjoy the PT. Do I love them as much as the OT? No way. But they are fun. I see them as someones interpretation (sp) of the back story. Certainly not what I had envisioned. Unfortunately, that person was George.

Do I miss the hype? Hell yes. Especially for TPM & RotS. I went to the midnight showing for both. Episode I came out 2 weeks before I got married. It was the most exciting time in my life. Surrounded by family and friends and Star Wars!

There was really no hype for AotC. There was a midnight showing, but I went the next day to a noon show. It wasn't too busy, there was no buzz, just dissappointment.

RotS came at a bad time for me and my family. We lost a family member to cancer. Around the time Sith came out, we were all waiting for the time to come, if you understand. So, with all the hype, the dark story, and the final Star Wars movie, it was a nice distraction from life at that time. Which, I think, is what a movie should be. It was an appropriate ending. Good and bad. Hell, now I'm all depressed.

I was so excited! Star Wars the Special Edition! Alas, Star Wars on the big screen after all those years. I had bought my tickets early, lined up for about 2 hours to get a good seat, was surrounded by friends and fans.

They next thing I remember is....

Greedo shoots first?!? And missed?!? What the hell was that?!?!

I remember leaving the theater and saying, "I understand Lucas wanted to 'fix' his movie, but I can't stand the fact that he took parts out to replace them rather than fix them.

I also remember thinking, "well this is the Special Edition. Love it or hate it, we still have the original version."

Boy, if I only knew what was coming....
